I think I'll nominate Haruki Murakami, author of The Wind-up Bird Chronicle, Norwegian Wood and Kafka on the Shore among many more titles. I just finished Norwegian Wood, and it was amazing, would love the chance to read some more and discuss them with you lovely people.

I think I second Murakami. I've read The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, After the Quake, Sputnik Sweetheart, and just finished After Dark. I also read the nonfiction memoir What I Talk About When I Talk About Running. I hope to read the res of Murakami's works eventually.

I'd like to nominate Maria V. Snyder, author of Poison Study (Though I'm not sure what you would call the series), and Storm Glass.
I just finished Poison Study, and OMG! It was so freaking epic, I was so engrossed in it, that I couldn't put it down till I finished it which was around 2:30 last night.

Ooh I wanted to read those books. I haven't had a chance to buy one yet and I'm not totally sure what the books are about. They have to catch my interest before I buy a book. If you could let me know a bit about the book then maybe I can get one?
