Hey all... I haven't been very active in here, but I'd like to propose a contest of sorts. I just purchased a new art program for simplifying comics, and I wanted to play with it.... there's only one problem. I don't have a story to go by. So here's the dealie-o. I'm looking for a comic worthy short story, hopefully with a female lead (as that is my strong point). The story can be about anything.... fantasy, action, romance sheer randomness, etc. The story should be short enough to make a 20page or less comic. If I choose your story, it will be made into a comic (eventually) and you will get to add it to your collection of works. The finished work will not be used as a submission to any contest of any sort, it's just something to beef up my portfolio. Aluren well as of now all I have are Spanish language stories, can you do something with one of them?' umm... if it's translated... i can only speak the very basic and therefore would be unable to figure out what was happening... tho that would be an awesome twist. give me a story in a different language and i'll just draw what i want with dialogue bubbles and it'll make no sense to someone that knows the language. XD pirate -"Porque mama. Porque?!?!?!"

The Last Knight was the fastest and best armored ship in the Cerulean skyfleet. Her twelve 16" guns together with her state of the art fire control and radar systems, made her the deadliest ship in the Cerulean Empire.
As the most modern and best equipped ship of her day, she was penciled in as the new flagship for the Empire skyfleet even before her launch, following the tradition of the Cerulean Empire, the ship and her captain; Fleet Admiral, Aluren Lolindir Palantir along with all his commissioned officers were made knights of the Empire by the emperor during her launch ceremony.
In no less than one year had Aluren and The Last Knight accomplished over 200 successful missions with no losses whatsoever. With all the raw firepower The Last Knight possessed, and its captain’s amazing wit it was an easy task to bring Sky pirates down swiftly and smoothly. However, something troubled the captain, he had always been peaceful person inside, so in no time he became sickened by the needless brutality he was ordered to carry out month after month.
14 months after being named captain of The Last Knight, the Emperor gave what would be his Last mission for the Empire. He was ordered to bomb-raid the biggest and fastest growing city in the Riovanes Empire; Lesalia, Located a couple days away from the outskirts of the empire territory, deep into the Riovanes territory, killing citizens and children alike. The Last Knight took off with its dreaded mission, but once Lesalia was at sight, Aluren sent a team to capture Riovanes’ high military ranks, once onboard, he interviewed them about the Emperor’s suspicions, and with the info he needed, he called the mission off and freed the prisoners.
However, when he returned to the Empire fleet headquarters, he was taken into custody for refusing to execute the Emperor’s Direct Order; he was charged for High treason facing death penalty. He would have doubtless been put to death had a determined group of men under his former command not launched an operation to rescue him.
In intense and bloody fighting they managed to free him from his detention under the empires elite Cerulean Guard. Amazingly they were able to take control of The Last Knight yet again and fled deep into Riovanes controlled territory. In pursuit by tenths of Navy cruisers, The Last Knight took them down one by one in what seemed to last for a whole day, but this time, she suffered massive damage. Landing to effect repairs to the gunship they were surrounded by Riovanes forces on the retreat from the front. Outnumbered, outgunned and facing an extremely hostile force it looked to be the end.
However in a turn of incredible good fortune some of the Riovanes military were from the same group whom the Captain had interviewed and refused to execute. Making use of their high ranks they persuaded the others to spare them. They were taken prisoner but after providing crucial information on Imperial troop positions they earned the trust of their captors and secured their release, with letters ensuring safe passage through Riovanes lands as they headed south.
Two months later The Last Knight received a distress call from a nearby rainforest, and as good as Aluren’s heart was, he decided to go and check the place from where the signal came. Fog covered all the forest beneath them; they knew there was a forest there only because the maps of the region they had. Little he knew it was all a trap by the Navy to Recapture him and The Last Knight.
By the time the Captain realized it was a trap and steered The Last Knight to avoid the Navy's incoming attack it was too late. In less than a minute from beneath the Fog came over twenty Amhdalia type interceptors. Aluren ordered to lose altitude to get into the fog, and amidst the fog ordered all his crew to take the escape pods, leaving him and The Last Knight as a distraction. His movement worked, and he served as a decoy to the Navy Interceptors. Rising above the Fog, he commanded The Last Knight at Top Speed to give his crew more survival chances, he wouldn’t answer a single attack on its hull, and in just a couple minutes, The Last Knight went from being the finest Battleship around, to being just wreckage.
sidenotes: this is kind of a summary of chapters1, 2 and 3 of my steampunk story. obviously I skipped lots of characters and drama in the stories, vut this is the essence D:
