So with the advent of the internet, there's been a drastic drop in the number of dollars that the artists see, and with good reason. Music is now looked at as a service instead of a physical thing you can buy. MP3s are the new CD and you don't need anything more than a jumpdrive or an ipod or some other device to keep them on.
Aside from this, there are now sites such as Playlist.com, etc that allow you to create playlists and listen to your music for free, so long as you have a net connection.
While Torrenting is useful, it's also illegal if you download the newest movies, hot album artists, and games.
While I won't speak on my own practices, I will suggest a site that I believe you all can appreciate.
Ever went to the movies and bought two tickets, popcorn, drinks, candy and a couple games at the arcade only to find that you've shelled out about $50 for a couple hours of pleasure?
Well I can't give you the candy, or popcorn, or any of that, but what I can do is show you is this.
Let Me Watch This
Save yourself some money and hit up this site. I have personally used it and so far, there have been no ill effects. Nothing to download, it's not illegal, and best of all, it's free.
Enjoy,
