Though the character design is different (Zuko's uncle is supposed to be fat, goddamn it scream ) ... it looks very interesting ... I think I have another movie I want to watch ...
As for the bending ... Earth Bending Rocks (pun intended) ...

Water bending 4 life.
Seriously though, I hope this movie does well, but as a fan of the television series I am positively mortified that they might screw it up. This one is going to be a fine line for Hollywood to tread, as the fans are morbidly fanatical where this show is concerned.

quiet_way Water bending 4 life. Seriously though, I hope this movie does well, but as a fan of the television series I am positively mortified that they might screw it up. This one is going to be a fine line for Hollywood to tread, as the fans are morbidly fanatical where this show is concerned. When I first saw the trailer, I thought, "Wow, they are taking one of my favorite shows and going in a completely different direction." I was put off, but still wanted to see it. Then I came across THIS in the ED. I highly recommend that all fans of the show take a look at this before deciding to go see the movie. The videos in the OP are freaking awesome, though! That's so neat that each bending uses it's own martial art; I feel silly for not noticing it before!

I still watching this movie ...
for several reasons ...
1) I loved the show ... might as well show some support
2) Intrigued how Hollywood interpreted the show
3) Cuz I will probably have nothing better to do on a Friday night
I could care less about all the political and racial bullshit ... it's a movie ... as long as they got the message across then I'll be happy with it ...

Obviously it is up to the individual.
I loved the show and that's why I'm NOT seeing the movie. The creators of the show are PISSED at how Hollywood is ruining it. I don't know, I respect the creators so much that it hurts me to see their creation get turned around like that for a profit.
I'll still be curious about it, of course. You guys will have to let me know if it held up all right!

never really payed much attention to the show only seen like 2 episodes, my base style that i use to mold other martial arts to is ba gua, it flows very nicely which is why i like it
