If you're talking "Spirits Within" then that's American. But... I don't quite remember a "final battle" >_> only someone falling into the Big Hole Of Gaia D:

wait.... i think that was Spirits within XD

But FF7 : Advent Children is uhm.... well animation so i guess it counts as anime even if it's 3d XD
