Anyone know of any Michigan celebrities that you're a fan of?

My favorite Michigan celebrity is Jacqueline Carey. She's the author of the popular Kushiel's Legacy (a series) and several other works. Her official website is http://www.jacquelinecarey.com/. I would describe her work (at least with the Kushiel's Legacy) as alternate history with fantasy elements. She's a very descriptive writer and just awesome. Her website states that she lives in Kalamazoo, MI. w00t!

My dad knows a guy who knows Richard Dean Anderson. While, MacGyver isn't from Michigan, it's about as close to knowing a celebrity I'll get. (unless you count having your picture taken with James Doohan...)

My Trekkie boyfriend would be soooo jealous!

As for Michigan celebrities, I'm not really friends with him but I have hung out with Marilyn Manson.
Also, I live in Kalamazoo, and just about everyone here knows Matt Giraud somehow - either directly or through friends. My friend's husband was in a band with him.
