Or love to hate them!

My first MMO was Diablo. And I was young, but it did not take long to realize that some people can really be crappy. Then I moved onto SWG years later, and became more irritated with people. I just dislike how they can act so immaturely and they can be so hateful towards other players that they don't even know. I got tired of reading spams and insults and other people stealing your targets and loots. D: Or high level toons whipping through newbie missions and ruining it for those who actually have to do it.

I thought that i'd never stick with MMOs. I mean, I always did things solo and kept to myself quite a bit. So what's the point of me playing online? I don't know. I just cannot break away. I even started up STO last month- where my expectations of crappy people were met. Spammers, gold farmers, n00bs who can't read, tribble spam..ect. (I usually hit the NPC chat tab to ignore everyone)

I also feel that most MMOs are the same, but I cannot fairly say that they are. I've only played a handful of them.

Did I make any sense? Lol!

Do you like MMOs? Why or why not? What do you play?

Kinda funny I really can't say I like or dislike MMOs. I hate playing them by myself though. I don't feel they are important enough to go through the the quests solo. If no one is online, I may do a quest or so then quit. And you're right, most of them are so similar it's not even funny. Nothing original comes from the MMO world.
I have on the other hand try playing DDO. It's pretty fun, the voice acting is pretty bad, but very entertaining. Saddly though, i can't get any of my friends to play it with me so it is slipping into the darkness like every other MMO I have ever played

I believe I've stated this in another thread, too.
MMO's are fun. Lots to do. I just don't like playing with others in
a party because, well, hardcore gamers aren't great with social skills
and either take everything from you, don't let you take time to do
your things, or just take off without you a lot. They don't always listen.
Blah, blah, blah. Those who get after you because their lvl 235
and you could be on your 7th character, their just all low lvl. =b

There are always those you can find who are pretty cool. I know I've found
a fair share. Just, random ones. On a private server to WoW and retail.
It's nice to be able to contact someone random if you need some help,
also. Some people out there are pretty nice about it.

As for your DDO... It's Eberron. So trying this out =3
Waiit.... My book is finally out in paperback! =D

Looks like it's all done downloading. Need to create a character.
Figure things out. Hopefully it downloaded good.
I clicked for the fast one lol Figured that if it didn't download everything,
it's just a trial XD

Argonnessen (SHOOSH about my spelling!... )
I was curious to find out how they were going to do this.
From what I've read. It's pretty unknown to humans and such.
Heh, I started out shipwrecked from a dragon attack XD

I've played zOMG, but that's pretty much it as far as MMOs are concerned. I've always been more of a console gamer.

Consoles have their own versions of MMOs =b
May not be 100% the same or anything. But, they're there.

Heh, true enough. Still though, only MMO I ever played was zOMG.

Came pretty close to getting into EQ once, but... that was just because my exes entire family plays it. When we were dating, I thought it looked cool.

then again, I also thought she was a decent human being... xp

I've seen my room mate play that.. Well, he started to.
(His parents were like, uber Christans and didn't let him play
even Harry Potter.... Ooh, scary magics = No Lord of the Rings...
You get the idea. So he ended up downloading a LOT of games lol)
EQ looked... Interesting...
Of course, everything looks a lil' EH until you give it a try yourself.
I've run into a couple of those out there =b

I would eventually like to get into an MMO, but with no money to back it and no time to put into it on top of my console gaming/internet ventures, it will be a while before I get into that. And that's if I even do do it.

You could always look into that.

I've actually heard that, but everything I've heard on that one isn't too good so I haven't really bothered looking for it.
