The time has come comrades, to put fourth the ballet for the new members of the Central Committee. The Central Committee (CC) is the governing body of the guild. This year we are running 5 seats. Anyone who has met the 5 political post requirement is allowed to run for candidacy. In this thread announce your candidacy and platform. What changes/problems do you see with the guild? How will you work to fix those problems? Anything you deem necessary. You have until March 20th to announce your candidacy. After that the ballet is closed and the polls are open! Presenting: Comrade Herobane's Working Platform
Comrades, this is my working platform. I am experiencing computer trouble at home, so must use the university's computer labs to log into Gaia, but I will do so as often as I can to respond to criticism and revisement suggestions.
Unlike my comrades, I will not attempt to use large, red words or fancy fonts or anything to try and convince you you should vote for me. I will simply present myself and my positions before you, to choose if you like what you see.
Now, I stand for the following things:
A vigilant watch for Fascists: As many will remember, there ahs been, in recent history, a Fascist infiltration of this guild. With the rise in Fascist activity around the world of late, focusing largely on new vicious hate crimes in the United States and Russia, they are a foe to be guarded against.
Education as a primary occupation: The purpose of this guild is the education of prospective Marxists. Unlike as comrade Juungle Boots has proposed, with what seems to be his advocating of a**-kicking raids into the ED, I feel that the only times that MCS members should go gallavanting off is to try and recruit people who seem to be interested in Communism, and to right intellectual wrongs, as I have proven I stand for by my posting of interesting topics that need addressing by those more firmly ingrained with Marxist theory.
Expansion of the library: So far, the reading list contains, as comrade Rob pointed out, primarily Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Trotsky. However, I feel that in order to offer the most comprehensive education possible, we should expand the list to include Stalin, Mao, and even minor, oft-neglected thinkers such as Guevara, Hoxha, et al.
Further, I admit that I am not the most well-versed in theory. I feel that this relates me more to the new members of the guild, as I don't know as much as comrades Rob and Gracchvs do, but I am just as eager to learn as our new comrades are.
Comrades, I want you to make the right choice for YOU this election, be it for comrade Rob, comrade Boots, or someone else, and if you feel that I am the man you want in the Central Committee, then I will do my damnedest to live up to your expectations and desires.
I will listen to everyone and try to make sure that the average denizen of this guild has a say. If there's an issue you want brought before the CC, tell me, and I will make sure it is addressed.

I may not be a leninist-marxist, may not be a communist in the traditional sense. I fight for peace, i fight for blood, i fight for the beleifs of all of us.
I am an anarchist. I am a socialist but i am just as vicious and capable as any other candidate.
And i stand here next to them, still as my friends and commrades, and standing next to them i have to ask myself Who are we? What are we doing? What is this we do together?
What is our guild? What is the NCS?
The NCS is a marxist/socialist collective on an anime website. This is a rather strange location for us. but at the same time a perfect place for us. The NCS stands for the education of the youth on this site towards the progressive veiws we hold as socialists, as communists, as commrades of the working class.
Our guild's greatest power is our member's ability to educate not only eachother, but ourselves, and others across the site. This power is where i focus my interests in running for office.
My Goal as your potential official is to help move this guild towards wide and deeply engaged education all across the site, and to hold tight to the educational progress we here as guild members have for each other.
By that goal:
I promote guild member's excursions into the ED forums. and I promote collective efforts to assist in debates with our commrades agianst the capitalists, the right wing, and the reactionaries agianst our progressive veiws. I do firmly believe the guild itself is sufice to educate ourselves further, however making threads and creating topics in open forums can help us expand the conciousness of our theories to those who may study in the halls of this guild. This is both a potential means to screen for recruitment, and test our own theory and thoughts against those that oppose us fundamentally (something we dont really experience within the guild itself). I hope that this will aid us in promoting the guild itself, promoting new membership, and most of all promoting our views.
I promote the NCS community in its effort to create a network with other socialist guilds, other progressive political guilds, and ultimately all gaian users. As well, i promote the NCS community's effort to aid and educate users with casual interest in our beleifs. By this i do not promote the separation of those with casual interest from those of us who study heartily and debate here often. I simply feel it best to have more room, for us all to network, and communicate more directly to those that seek exposure to the theory and practice of our beleifs in safe and comfortable ways. The NCS community certainly can be that new room.
I passionately promote a broad school of thought in our guilds government. I, being an anarchist, and not a Marxist-leninist, leaves me with a very different perspective from many of our other candidates running for office. Despite this difference i see us all as strong brethren, great commrades in our ultimate goal of the liberation of the working class from oppression. And despite this difference I passionately work for all of us together, and passionately work to continue the togetherness of us when that glorious revolution does come.
I promote a healthier and more productive debate in our guild I promote a state of debate in this guild free of flaming, free of drama lamas, insults, and down right mean comments towards our fellow commrades. I know we cannot all ways get along, boy do i know that. (Hi5 Rob & Tank) And i do not condone a watering down of our debates either. I know we often feel others are hoplessly idealistic, hopelessly ignroant, or just down right wrong. This also factors in a tight watch over faschists and objectivists whom might enter this guild with malignant intentions. But in that light, debate is our best tool towards education, and i hope to continue the vivacious discussions we hold here as well as elsewhere. However it hurts our activity when a passionate debate goes beyond simple education and moves into "you are stupid, this is a horrible statement". that helps no one.
I aim to make our guild strongly united, for only united can we make things happen together, and progress to greater heights.

I want to start off by saying what a successful 6 (or 7) months it has been for this guild. We've seen a steady activity, a dramatic rise In membership and a very enthusiastic new crowd it has been. You are all eager to learn and its a really fantastic thing to see especially now. The world once again descends into capitalist crisis and It's been a belief of mine that a new generation of socialists needs to come to the helm and actually bring the communist movement to where it needs to be, and it all begins here.
I wish to touch more upon some of the things I'd like to see happen in this guild. As I mentioned before the level of education is good, but I really think we can do better. Despite the lack of less-left elements in the guild stagnation hasn't happened. Activity has increased and I want to get the new members up to date with all the stuff they should be learning. I have a very strong past with promoting the education of new members, however, despite my previous attempts, have been met with nothing but failure. Why? a lack of dedication. Naturally, one man cannot tackle the process alone. Further, lack of coordination among leadership further hinders these projects. So it is today that I shall announce we need a leadership that is all on the same page. Ill touch on this point later.
What I also like to see happen is a stronger commitment to getting communist views out into the ED-P forum. The fruits of your education only solidify if you test them against our enemies. I want to make you all skilled debaters. Again, to achieve this we need an active capable and consistent leadership. One comrade who I know will aid me in this goal is SoViEtTaNkT34 (founder of the guild). A revamp of the forums and subforums for a cleaner look. An active recruitment program, a new constitution and last but not least, a library thread that is has more than just Marx,Lenin,Engels and Trotsky.
So who among you will fight with us? To uphold the tradition of Marxist-Leninism? Who among you will work to fight for socialism and the working class? Who is ready to die in glorious battle against liquidators of the cause? A VOTE FOR ROB IS A VOTE FOR THE VICTORY OF SOCIALISM AND THE WORLD PROLETARIAT!

i mean im more of a fluffy cuddley mamal type person myself... but if dem peeps wants scales, 100 nashing teeth, and 2000 lbs. per square inch of downward jaw strength i would not think twice in generating an allogator abundance... maybe even throw in a few crocs while we're at it.
