The foothills near Misuteru rise up to form the steep slopes of the arctic Yukiyama Mountains. The snow that blankets the smooth, curving mountains covers everything, immaculate as if it has never been touched by the hands or feet of any living creature. The image is nothing short of... majestic.
But the cold heart of the mountain hides another side. Dark clouds gather around the mountains, casting shadow for weeks at a time and sending the temperature plummeting below survivable. And then there are the howls in the darkness. If you plan to survive here, you better keep your wits and warmth about you.

Celia's feet finally stopped, her breaths coming out heavily, sweat running down her porcelain skin. It was already dark outside, and her body was at it's limit. She turns her head to survey the surrounding area before falling to her knees, her face red.
...her heart was acting up.
"Let's...rest.....a bit....."
She hangs her head, her hand held up to have them wait a bit.
"....I....can't...."
After a few more seconds of silence, she falls over onto her side, her eyes close to closing as she desperately tries to catch her breath, her chest rising with the motion. She curls into a ball, one of her hands clenching her chest tightly, desperate to stop the burning pain.

Hanako kept up a good pace, but stopped when she noticed Celia stop. Her eyes narrowed as the girl fell on the floor. "Oi you ok?" Carefully the cat like female walked over to her and tilted her head. She doesn't look to good...Wonder what's wrong? She thought while studying Celia. "Does your chest hurt?" For some reason it unnerved her to see this young girl hurting.

Hearing the voice, Celia's eyes open, her eyes searching around her. Forcing a smile onto her face, she sits up, her hands grasping tightly onto handfuls of grass.
"Yes...just tired....a lot of running..."
She turns her head away, her breathing starting to even out, her heart calming down.

"Eh? Come on, we've got a long way to go!"
Kurai gave Celia a light kick and knelt down.
"Well I guess you're gonna have to rest then. Stupid people, wasting my time."
And with that she dropped down into the snow, lounging across a snowbank. She waved her hand and a purple flame fell onto the snow, hovering just above it and burning low. The nearby snow began to melt, but Kurai just rolled over and ignored it.

Celia could not hide the blush on her face as she turned her head sideways, her lips pouting slightly.
"...sorry..."
Scooting closer to the fire, she holds her hands out, the fire heating her up slightly.
"I promise, give me another minute or two and I'll be good for another few hours."
'Curse my weak heart...acting up like this....'

A snowball hit Kurai from behind, causing someone unknown to giggle. A few more flew at the unsuspecting people, all coming from the top of the snow bank. By accident, the person hit themself in the face while trying to throw another one. "...Ow."

Celia was enjoying the warmth of the fire, her heart having started to slow down when a pressure was felt in her head. Celia's eyes only widened at the feel of the force, her mind barely registering that something hit her before she fell face first into the snow. She pushes herself onto her hands, snow on her face and a bit of her hair.
"What the..?"
She shivers a bit, the snowball having started to slide down her dress a bit.

More giggles come from behind the bank, the sound distinguashable as a woman's. Another snowball went flying towards a random person.

Kurai swung herself around, glaring intently in the direction the snowball had come from. There didn't seem to be anyone there, so she turned back around, glaring at Celia instead.
"Hurry up, let's get going, she snarled, "We're not sticking around any longer, no matter how tired you are."

Celia could only agree as she dusted herself off, easily getting up. She nods to Kurai, easily beginning to walk again. Her heart had calmed down thankfully and she was now ready to give it another go, though she was going to be more cautious than before.
She throws a smile in Kurai's direction.
"Ready."

"'Bout time," Kurai muttered under her breath, turning away from Celia and trying to ignore the giggling coming from above the snowbank. They had already wasted entirely too much time. So much time that there wasn't even a guarantee... No. She wouldn't worry about that. It had to be alright. It had to be.
"Alright, this way," Kurai motioned to the others, "I'll lead you to the shrine up in the mountains. That's where we need to go first."

The figuree bounded out from her snow cover, gliding to the strange people. "You're going to the shrine?" She landed by the most rude one, throwing a glance her way before looking at the softer one.

"Yeah," Kurai shrugged looking the girl up and down in an 'I'm not actually paying attention' sort of way, "There's some... things there that need to be taken care of. I need to get something back and I think the shrine is the place to find it."
