 Sonnet was practicing his flying, as he often was of late. He hadn't had much luck actually flying yet, though he could manage nearly a minute in the air. He only stayed close to the ground though at the moment. But he was doing better with gliding, though he still needed to exercse his wings more. So that is what he was doing, flapping his little wings hard, trying to stay airborn for a little while, doing this repeatedly, then practicing his gliding. Depending on how well that went and how tired his wings were he would often go back to the flapping, working his muscles.
Anyone could see he was determind to fly, though that was only his current ambition, he had yet to grow enough to get much further.

A giggle ran deep in her throat, gliding up to the tip of her jaw and soon tried to pry it's way through her dainty lips, she held herself in a serene manner. This was a very determined foal, eye's wide and excited at the thought of hitting the air. He was beating with all his little might and she was proud. He was a little angeni, the first she met since getting here. She hadn't even met him yet.
"You might want to take a little break, yes practice makes perfect.. but you could hurt yourself!' She said, a smile perched pleasantly where she had just stopped a giggle. "You wouldn't want to stall your flightful future with one little mistake would you?" Her hooves paused a moment, holding her about 20 feet away, her own wings were still spread comfortably and mane a tangled mess from the wind and mane moving slightly.
"Believe me, you'll fly."

Looking round hearing a female voice, seeing a mare that had many wings like him. Blinking not having seen an adult angeni before. Not able to stop stairing at her huge wings. They were bigger than he was! Stopping what he was doing more in fasination than because he had taken in what she said. Wandering over to her, still stairing at her wings. "Wow...." Wandering around her, too fasinated to remember his manners. Though he was always careful not to catch her wings with his horn.
Stopping finally looking up at her, smiling brightly. "Your wings are amazing!" Clearly excited at meeting an adult angeni, the little wings on his head were wiggleing cheerily. Though he had totally forgotten to introduce himself.

Noko watched the clearly impressed-blind foal. As he got closer to her she eye'd him up and down, taking in his nifty appearance than paused at the horn. 'A hybrid?' she pondered to herself. She moved with him a bit, shifting her wings, broadening and tightening them for his amusement.
"Why thank-you!" She blushed faintly at the compliment. She hadn't been talked to about her own appearance before, though she was a bucketful of comments for others about their wings or appearances. "One day, your wings will be as large as mine." She stated matter of factly.
"Maybe even larger!' She pondered out loud for him to think about.

Bouncing happily at that prospect, Sonnet was grinning happily. "Really! Maybe even bigger?! Wow!" Looking up at her again when he calms down a little, noticing she had gone more pink than she had been before, blurting out with foal bluntness. "Now you have pink too... Your lots of colours!" Continuing to ramble on. "My sister would like you, 'cause your all pretty colours and flowers... Have you met my sister? She's like me but stripy..." Rambling away happily, unaware of the complements (however backhanded they were) he was giving her.
"I'm sonnet, and I'm gonna grow up big and strong, and fly and do awesome stuff..." He hadn't gotten as far as planning exactly what he was going to do but he wanted to help people and protect them, so he needed to be really big and strong.... He was working on it....

His muscles foretold just the story he spoke of when he mentioned wanting to grow up big and strong, she predicted his wings would be bigger than hers. He had the muscles already built in his back to carry them when he got older. She was astonished by it all.
The entire time he rambled she stayed a tint of pink, her eye's glittering at his youthful joy. "I am a numerous amount of colors!" She giggled excitedly, a foal could effect an entire room if they were happy enough and this foal was certainly excited. "No I haven't met her, if she's nearby, why don't you get her?" I'd love to meet her!" She offered, er voice happy as could be.

Shaking his head Sonnet looked around. "No I dun pratice my flying when shes around, shes better at it than me...." Feeling embarassed that his sister could fly and he was still working on it, but then he could talk and she had never been able to, so he guessed that made them even. "Maybe if I ee you again she will be around!" Grinning, clearly loving his sister and family, even though he had wandered off to practice privately.
"Your pretty colours, like when the sun goes to bed." Gazing at her lower sunset wings and the orchids dotted on her. "I've not seen flowers growin yet... Your really lucky to have some... Can you show me where they are? I can show my friend then, he has a momma so he could give her some." Not seeming to mind his lack of mother, he had 2 sisters and a dad and it was a very loving family, even though his older sister was a little odd sometimes.
Peering up at her again, still smiling. "Whats your name?"

"Oh, well I'm sure you are better at other things than her." She stated, his eye's were so sad when he stated he couldn't do it as ood as her. "Maybe you'll see me again, it'd be nice to meet such a pretty family, if they all look as handsome as you, litle one." Her voice was loving as any Mother's and proud as any parent.
Al foals should never wear a sad face, unless they were learning their lesson after doing wrong. Even then they should be enjoying their young lives. "My name is Nokomis, I am Mother Nature, little one. What is your name?" Her smile was sweet and caring, she adored foals, they had the most optimism of all the creatures in this world.

Sonnet ducked his head, thinking she was a little silly for calling him handsome, he was the plane one. All his siblings had pretty stripes and interesting markings, shaking his head, going a shade of pink himself as he figits, the white end to his nose showing it best. Loosing his bounce as he gets shy, not used to complements, especially not from girls, big or small. Mumbling quietly. "I tol you before, I'm Sonnet... Its nice to meet you..."

"Oh, I am sorry, I missed your saying that." She said, giving a slight blush herself. She wasn't used to the excited coming from younger horses. "It's nice to meet you too!" She says happily.
"Well, why don't I help you try and fly some more? I might have more tips to offer." She said happily, her tone changed to a supportive and excited, she enjoyed learning and teaching.

Perking right up, forgetting the complements that embarased him. "Your give me a lesson!" Going back to excited mode with a little bounce and a flutter of his head wings. "Oh oh that would be good! I want to be the best ever at flying!" Grinning as he prances a little, clearly joyous.
Looking round at where they were, clearly checking and working something out. "You hav big wings... Chan says you need lots of room..." This obviously being what he was trying to work out.
(so you know his story is loosely based on the ugly ducking, he blooms into mr smex and has confidence and charm... there's many things for him to learn on the way though.)

[I was starting to get that feeling lol It's a cute idea for a foal :3]
Nokomis was excited at the noticeable change in the little foals attitude, at least he had a goal and was optimistic enough to reach it, she could just imagine him. "Yes, space is key, especially when your wings grow, they'll be super large!" She said, dramatically moving her head to show the space he'd probably need.
"With practice you can be the best. Now show me again what you've got started and we'll go from there." She offers, from what she'd seen he was well on his way, though she only caught the end of his training session.

Nodding enthusiastically Sonnet backed up finding a nice space that fit him well. "I was practising going up, I dun wanna go high but going up a little bit fot longer and longer is making my wings stronger. Chan sai I need to practise cause I crashed and stuff when I tried to float first time. Chan said you need strong wings and that practise helps." After telling her all this he starts flapping, finally getting a little bit of air, holding it for a few moments and dropping the small distance onto his hooves.
"So I do that, and then when I feel stronger I see if I float further." Backing up more and springing forwards, wings spread to glide, clearly not understanding how to control the lift of his wings or the flow of the air yet. But he glided a ok distance, though he should be able to do . But then he had really not been learning or trying long, he had never thought lessons were possible till he met Chan. His dad had no wings so he had just done what that did. His first wanting to try had been caused by his sister flying up into a tree.

Nokomis nodded and watched with a keen eye, he'd have some air control to learn soon enough, but he had the right idea about everything else it seemed, whoever had been teaching him, this Chan, person needed a good pat on the back for all they've taught Sonnet.
"You're a good listener to have remembered all of that." She admired him, smiling the entire time. She was truly impressed by the traits the horse held. "Have you practiced holding your wings still, like two boards." She offered, she had always had trouble with her gliding when she was young. It was her was her weakness.

Sonnet smiles up at her, his little head wings wiggling happily, tilting his head at her suggestion. "Boards? Wha you mean like boards?" Not really understanding what she had meant, but then he hadn't really much of a clue what a board was. "Whazza board?" Thinking he might as well ask least that way he might understand more. Besides he liked knowing things, it was interesting, and there was lots he wanted to know about. Wondering if he might learn more stuff from this mare, after all he did have lots of questions about all kinds of things and some his dad didn't have answers too.
