So Icall in sick as I was in the hospital all night and didn't get much sleep. and my boss was kinda pissy with me.....Now here is the thing.....I was bleeding out my ear. Is that not a reasonable reason to not go to work??

That is a definite reason not to go to work. Some people can be quite insensitive, try not to let it get the best of you and live for tomorrow. I hope things resolve smoothly smile .

Ah....Something similar happened to me when I broke my arm... I forgot to call into work until my 6th day in the hospital and by the time I did call in, I was told I'd been fired by my supervisor.
....In the end my boss offered me my job back, but I was too embarrassed to take up the offer....
