I'm not too much of a Bj Penn fan but no one can deny the fact that he is a few fights away from clearing out the Light Weight division (even though I think he's cleared it out for a long time now). If Penn can gain the right way (not end up how he did against GSP the second time) then there is no doubt that he will be a huge threat in the WW division. Under these circumstances I still do not think that he will be a threat to GSP. There are even rumors of GSP gaining weight to move up to the middle weight division in order to challenge Anderson Silva. I think that GSP should lay out Bj Penn to settle all disputes over who is better and then after the defeat of BJ Penn it would be clear that he has also cleared his division and he should move on to the middle weight division .

Dana White wants Penn to move up ... and after his fight with Edgar ... and I believe he will ... but I don't think he deserve an automatic title shot ... I would think that he should beat like the number three guy ... like Fitch or Alves ... or the winner of Koscheck/Daley ... or even the loser of GSP/Hardy ... but regardless I think he needs at least a win at welterweight ...

i think if he did move up he should go against the big names before GSP then if he loses he can wait til he goes against him until he wins but if he does win he isnt goin to hav tht belt for long i mean there is some really tough fighters in tht division
