When is the age you think kids should start getting punished? Sasha is only 11 months old but we already punish her. She seems to understand it and never repeats a action shes corrected for. So when do you think is the perfect time?

With Rhapsody we started around the time she started getting up and walking. However, according to 'scientists' children under the age of two do not have the brain capacity to understand why they are getting punished so it is pointless to punish children under two. My daughter is 1 and a half and knows when she does something wrong, she's just a little punk who likes to rebel. xd She'll do something she knows is wrong then run away covering her butt. It all depends on the punishment. She doesn't get time out because she doesn't like being alone. She'll get a small spank on her butt or a two fingered 'tap' on her hand (like when she's reaching for something sharp or hot).

Yes we're very similar with sasha, we don't do the time out cause we don't think she'd understand just yet that she can't move from that spot so indtead a tap to the rear or a swt to the hand seems to get the message across and stops repeat offences
