I've been following this story, as it is (imo) severe discrimination against a girl who has different feelings for other females(a lesbian) and also who wants to wear something a little different to her prom(a tuxedo).
I mean, in Aus, my yr12 grad was fine with the few girls/guys who were homosexual, and brought same sex dates. It wasn't a GIANT thing.
I really do not grasp what the towns issue really is.

GD, what is your opinion?

WANTED WANTED I thought the same thing. It also completely wrecked her rep.

A few tyears ago guys wore dresses to prom on a dare type thing. The school thought it was making a mockery out of prom and were quite offended.
I think they should let her wear the tux, but I don't think those guys should be allowed to wear dresses. I suppose it would be different if they wore dresses in everyday life.
I really don't think the school should be allowed to tell you what to wear, but I guess prom is a priveledge.
What do you think about those boys?

There are a ton of gay kids in my area. The schools wouldn't give two shits about it.

Come to think of it, I took a girl to prom my freshman year. We weren't dating, because we're both straight, but we went through the grand march together. What gives them the right to care?

I think most people who run schools has a very closed mind please the parents way of doing things. They don't care if the students are truly happy, just that their moms and dads aren't at the school yelling.
