Hi there! Sorry I'm a bit late.
My week was great! School was a little rough, but today a sister in our ward gave us a bunch of her old cassette tapes! She had a bunch of stuff from Hugh Nibley and Truman Madsen! I can't wait to listen to it all.

Uhm...what did you think of today's church lessons? Did you guys learn about Abraham and Isaac in Sunday School too?

no, today was my wards ward conferance so we had a lesson given to us by our Stake President, which was amazing.

He talked about our journey, and he gave us the ladder and said that the two rails (that hold the wrungs) are laws and the wrungs are ordinances, and that we are always given blessings and there is a repetition of things, like water and such. and then he talked about how we are to get out of our sins. he told us that he prays all the time because he doesn't trust himself to keep himself away from sins and so he always calls for help in keeping on the straite and narrow.

Interesting. Yeah, that's true. We always have to pray that we'll have the strength to keep from succumbing to temptation.

Well, something that really stuck out at me was the fact that we're all going to have to go through a trial as severe as Abraham's if we really want to pass the test of this life and go on to eternal life. I don't know if I'll have the strength or tenacity to pass mine.

I agree.
I'm going to give you the same challenge that my seminary teacher gave my class the other day. Her challenge was to go a day being fully obedient, and then if you fail the first day, try again and again. and in your prayers ask for strength in whatever thing you didn't do right that day.
