The Premise, within a nutshell, is simple: Some Mercenaries go on a Mission.

Our Mission is to escort a political figure and his three advisors as they make a deal with a neighboring nation, with whom relations have been everywhere from unsteady to violent within the past fifteen years. His nation, Migu, and the other nation, Antoria, both desire peace. However, they both fear insurgent interference. Thus, our involvement.

Wielder will be, for absolute certain, on this mission. While in the RP, Rank is to be, not only respected, but obeyed. If a Private and a Sergeant sign up, the Sergeant can order the Private around.

That in mind, once the group leaves the GML Compound, by way of Jet Aircraft, no others can join.

So, to begin, post your character discovering the mission's existence and availability.

Wielder was sitting in the recliner in his CHU, watching TV, when a small alert appeared on the screen, signaling a new mission's availability. He pressed a button on his remote, which turned the Television into a mission center. He selected the new mission, and read the details of it. Apparently, it was a VIP Escort mission, in which they would be guarding a politician in his attempt to create peace with another nation. It had a medium risk of combat, and relatively high Pay. Wielder hit the Accept button, and changed out of his Civies to his Hakama. He donned his shin guards and General's Cape, and began walking down to the hangar. The Mission stated that the jet would need to leave around 1300 hours, and it was already 1230.

Kain giggled madly as a carrier crow, the only form of messaging he would accept, landed on the office chair he had been spinning on for what seemed hours. After tearing open the message he nodded to himself, but an obvious disdain had crossed his face. " Always calling me Kain. Tis Wyvern! Wyvern!!" His yelling ceased as the crow nipped at his ear, a reminder that he was a professional now. Not a freelance hitman for the French Mob. Kain patted the feathered courier before dismissing it and tossing on a clean white admiral jacket. To him, fashion was 65% of a Merc's life.
As he walked to the hangar his thoughts began to ponder and cloud his eyes with a haze of doubt.
His first actual mission. Was it in him to be civil?

Alex opened his eyes as a rather loud bell tone invaded his ears. Dropping his feet from his desk, he flopped forward and pushed a button on the top of his desk. The ebony-coated section of the desk ground upright, rising out of the desk like a monolith from the sands of time. A display flickered to life, even as Alex prodded it with a gloved finger.

It beeped and hummed quietly to itself as it booted up, a rich, deep purple washing over the screen to be replaced by the GML logo. Tapping it impatiently, the display swirled in in on itself like a whirlpool and up popped a envelope. Thus tapped also, it opened and a digital letter slid out and centered on the screen. Reading the e-mail through, one of the merc's eyebrows raised as he shut down the program and slammed the black desktop back into the depression, before crossing the room, his feet gliding silently over the plush carpet before throwing open a teak wardrobe. Inside hung not clothes, but weapons of all kinds. Ballistic, laser, close-combat, explosive, placed, fused, detonated, manned and un-manned, and a plethora of attatchments for all.

Selecting a choice four of the array, Alex tossed them onto a nearby chair with a negligent flip of the hands, and shrugged himself into the bodysuit he wore under his tactical vest. Turning to the chair, Alex slid a compact pistol into a holster, a SIG P220, along with a silencer, a SCAR-H was slung around his chest, kitted out with a variable power scope for short, medium, and long range combat, as well as a laser sight. Picking up the sword that lay on the chair next, Alex twirled it and drove it into the sheath he had strapped to his tac vest. The tassel bounced off of Alex's hair as he bent to pick up a number of grenades and explosives, tucking these into pockets around his body. Turning to the door, Alex stroked his soul patch before striding out the room, bowling over a mercenary and heading off to the Hangar.

K' was lying on his bed, safe inside his own private room. His left arm was folded and tucked underneath his head, which served as some sort of pillow. His right hand was holding a magazine in front of his face. He wasn't really paying attention to the articles; he was far more interested on the pictures. By the looks of it, he was looking at a Airship magazine. As the name implied, it showed all sorts of flying vehicles, from stylish to classy.
He had nothing better to do, so instead of having to deal with everyone at the Compound, K' headed to his room, took one of his random magazine and started looking at it. It was a good way to kill some time.

Suddenly, K's phone vibrated. He had been keeping his phone on vibrate mode so that he wouldn't be disturbed. Not only that, but he hated having to carry a phone. He had to since the League relied heavily on technology. Other than that, he preferred to pretend he didn't have a phone...as handy as the little gadget turned out to be, he had to admit.
He flipped his phone open and stared at the screen. A glowing GML icon was in the middle of the screen; probably an automatic voice message. He pushed a button and place the phone next to his ear. A recording with a female voice played. It explained that there was some sort of new mission where they had to help some politician and peace and stuff like that.
K' considered the mission for a moment. He was experienced when it came to dealing with figures who ruled over a country. And he certainly didn't have anything better to do at the time. Perhaps this was a signal that he needed to get off his butt and do something productive.

K' nodded after his short epiphany and pushed a couple of buttons on his phone. It was a text message with the word "Accept" on it. He closed his phone and sat down on his bed. Now he needed to get ready for the mission. Apparently, they would be leaving soon, so he needed to hurry up.

Sony was withing the hangar working on his custom Pavelow, which had needed repairs and upgrades after his last mission. He was covered in grease and oil but that had no effect on his productivity, considering it was his hobby to work on his chopper. After installing titanium blades onto the heli, the dashboard monitor inside the heli began to light up and beep, signifying that someone was trying to contact him.

Hearing the beeps, Sony jumped from the top and into the cockpit before tapping the screen, opening the message and revealing the details for a new mission. He then clicked Accept and went towards the back of the heli before hitting another button revealing a sharp black suit a separate battle outfit and his three swords. He then hit another button and climbed into a chamber before exiting looking fresh and armed. His other outfit had been packed into a duffel bag and readied. He then went to his chair and waited for the others to arrive.

After several moments of admiring the dirt that the young man had so generously pushed him into outside the compound Kain stood onto his feet, brushing the flecks of sand and dirt from his coat. No serious damage, no stains. All was well in his mind as he strode slowly off towards the hangar, still slightly irked over the man's urgency.

Wielder arrived at the designated jet, to see a couple of people already there. Namely, K', Sony, Alex, and a new recruit by name of Kain. There was only five minutes left until they needed to take off. He was glad to see everyone in battle attire. As he got closer, he addressed his friends, "Hey, everyone. I'm going to assume that this is it. We need to get going, so everyone in the jet." He stepped up the small stair flight, and inserted himself into the cockpit. When everyone was on board, he hit a button that closed the door, and radioed flight control.

"Golf-Mike-Lima Two Two Seven, aircraft type Tango-Romeo-Echo-India-Alpha, TREIA prepared for launch on mission... Twenty Seven, Three, Twenty, Ten. Carrying five mercenaries. Clear?"
The Radio Operator's clear, feminine voice filled the cabin. "GML227, type TREIA, cleared for launch. Note, now carrying five of five acceptants. Now sending mission details, including local schematics and maps, and personnel expected. Review en route. Approximate flight time, two hours. Destination, Arryon, Migu. It is a town on the border."
"Thanks, Aria. I'm en route to runway, and will be wheels-up in 120."

He maneuvered the jet aircraft to the runway. He could hear seat belts buckling behind him, and donned his. Turning his head somewhat so that they could hear, upon reaching the runway, he told them all simply, "Hang on!" To a degree, it was most aimed at Kain, who wasn't used to the high-velocity launches. Moments after, a clicking sound came from outside. Wielder sat back in his seat, and was pushed against it with the force of just over three G's as the craft was catapulted into the air.

Soon after, the craft was on autopilot, heading to Arryon, Migu. Wielder hit a button that brought up the digital briefing table, and turned around in his chair. He began the briefing.

Kain's voice threatened to fail him, when a terribly yelp had left his mouth at the sheer force of such a craft. He felt as though he would die, Lord knowing he had worse experiences. Sadly this one was new, and one he did not enjoy. After levelling out and calming himself a tadbit he shrugged, trying to seem more experienced then he was as he gazed off to a distant wall.

Sony loved the thrill of the high velocity takeoffs though he hadn't thought so the first time around, though, after hearing the yelp from the new guy. After the plane had effectively become stable he listened intently to Wielder's briefing.

As usual, K' was on the back of the plane. His usual sit was always open for him. Quietly, he sat down and looked around. Funny enough, there were only five of them, himself included. This probably meant that this was a small mission. Or maybe it was a mission that was supposed to be kept on the down-low. Of course, when it came to royalty, it was no surprise there were always secrets of some sort.

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Wielder's voice giving out instructions. He could feel the jet speed up, but he was so used to it that he didn't even flinch. He leaned against his arm rest and stared out the window. Once the plane had slowed down, he heard Wielder's voice again, this time giving out a briefing. Although he was still staring out the window, he was paying attention.

Wielder brought up a map of the border town the Mission would be based in. Arryon had no skyscrapers or towers, it was mostly three stories and below. Right through the middle of it, a wide river flowed strongly. "We're going to meet up with the package, one Senator Gavin, in this building at the far end of town. A Car will likely be sent for us. We will NOT take it. Cars offer up vulnerability: They create blind spots, and they take time to maneuver. I can make a portal that'll get us more than close enough. Now. The meeting point will be this bridge. It's been secured by police of both nations, and every square inch of it inspected thoroughly. All buildings within view have been secured for the meeting. Meaning, any offender will need to be armed well enough to kill, or at least disable, three people, including the package.
After the meeting, we escort the package back to the building where we first met up with him. If we deem it necessary for his protection, we will protect him on his way back to the capital. If, at any time, we fall under attack against a force we can't defeat, our escape protocol is to portal back to the jet and G-T-F-O with the package, and get him back to the Capital. If we can, however, we need to make sure that the deal goes through.
So that's it. Meet em, walk em down, guard em, walk em back. Things get shaky, eyes on me. Questions?

"So that's it? We babysit a bureaucrat?" K' said out loud. it wasn't much of a question meant to be answered by someone else. But rather, it was just a way to express his disbelief. It sounded like an easy mission. Perhaps this was why only five of them were needed. Then again, he had been around long enough to know that things never go as planned...

K' merely shrugged and leaned back on his seat. He awaited for someone else to ask a question that he probably didn't think of at the moment but that he would probably end up admitting was important.

Kain nodded in agreement to K's statement, turning his head to Wielder. " Alright some high official Fat Cat needs a guard, and we are at the beck and call? This is the French Mob all over again." he sighed hevaily in discontent. He meant no disrespect, just reminiscing of days before, back when all he did was guard officials and "wack" politicians.. The Mercs saved him from prison time, something any pretty boy would fear. He owed what he had to them, and if that meant guarding this man then that was that. He shrugged as he ran the possibilities of the mission through his head, all the while humming the tune of the Cantando Opera

"Hey, you signed up for it." Wielder replied. "We've got another hour or so before we arrive, so just hang out. The seats have TV's in front of them, with plenty to watch, so just sit back and relax for now."

It was only another fourty-five minutes before they arrived. They'd caught a good wind.
