Attention All Mercenaries. Stand by for an announcement.
The Crew of the Mercenary League has decided on Three Changes to our general operation. The Goal of these is to make the League as productive as possible at this time. These changes may radically change the Business Interactions of the League, but rest assured they will not have any significant effect on Leisure time activities.
The Changes are Listed and Defined Below. Please read the entirety of the list so that you understand the new changes well. Note that we do NOT have all of the details decided, and are still deciding specifics.
1) Promotions will now be handled based on a Specific Criteria.
We've come up with a very specific format of doing promotions. It's based on completion percentage. Say that the Criteria is 5 Members recruited, 3 Missions taken, and 3 Missions primed. By Recruiting 3 Members (60%), Taking one Mission (33%), and Priming one Mission (33%), the combined percentages add up to be over 100%, and as thus, the member will be Promoted.
The Specific numbers for the criteria have not yet been decided, but you can expect them to grow higher every Tier. Also, there is the possibility of integrating this with Department Work.
2) Mission Payment is to be based on Rank.
Missions are now to be handled by a Department of the Treasury. The Client will pay the treasury immediately upon the Mercenary's acceptance of their Mission. They will pay a Fixed rate, for example 3000 Gold Per Mercenary. If the Mercenary is of a particularly low Rank, they will receive a Fraction of this amount. If they are of a High rank, they will receive a Multiplied amount. This provides both motivation to rank up, and a method of refunding the client, should the Mercenary Fail or have to give up the mission. The amounts that do not go to the lower ranks will be used to pay the Higher ranks, as well as the Third Item, following shortly.
Expect a chart to be produced within a week.
3) Payment for All Department Positions
While this will take effect Gradually, all department positions will offer Pay, through Gold. Whether or not you can be in multiple departments simultaneously is still under discussion. At the time of this posting, only the Department of Advertising is available. However, as the department does its job, we'll have more and more people in here, which will fill up the Departments, which will open for paid positions.
The Payment for each department position will be decided by the Head of the department. At no point will the payment levels be set in stone. Should the department members voice a desire to change them, the topic will be brought up in the Department thread. Suggestions will be made, and votes will be cast.
These changes will not take effect for some time
The Promotion Criteria will be introduced starting on April 2nd (So you know we're not joking.) This means that we have one more normal promotion set before the new system is integrated. April's promotions will be done normally, May's will be done on criteria.
The Rank/Payment Integration will be implemented in about a week, starting on Sunday the 21st. It'll take about that long to set up the Department of the Treasury, as well as decide on Appropriate multipliers for ranks. NOTE that the Department of the Treasury will almost certainly be a paid position by the time it opens, primarily because it will need members to run it.
Again, payment for departments will be implemented gradually for each department.
