Welcome, everyone, to a different kind of avatar contest! For ten weeks, I will be running a cosplay contest, and each week will have a specific theme. Everyone is welcome to join in this contest, regardless of whether or not he or she participates every week. But the more you participate, the more prizes you may receive!
So every week, on Monday, I will write up a category of cosplay (NOTE: I will not be updating a post on the first page with these categories. Rather, every Monday I will simply add a new post detailing the new category and mention which page the category is on in the topic line of this thread). You will then dress up your avatar as something from said category. At the end of each week, I will announce the top three winners of the category, who will receive gold prizes. At the end of the tenth week, the top three overall cosplayers win BIGGER, BETTER PRIZES!
Excited yet? Well, here's what you need to do:
1. Read the guidelines for each week carefully. That way, you'll know what exactly you need to dress up your avatar. Portraying the same character that another participant is portraying is highly discouraged.
2. After dressing up your avatar, you are required to post in this thread, detailing the name of your character, the origin of that character, and a picture for me to compare your avatar with. You are free to take the whole week to dress up your avatar and post it provided that you do it before each Monday.
3. It is important that you keep your avatar the way it is beginning from when you post to the end of the week. Otherwise, I may not be able to judge it properly and you may be disqualified.
4. You may join in at any given week. It is not necessary to participate in every category. However, the more you do so, the more prizes you can attain!
