It was a crisp, spring morning, or afternoon. One of those. Orion had decided to go for a stroll around the neighborhood. It was not too hot nor too cold. Just the perfect temperature. Considering that it got pretty warm even in the spring, mornings were great. Or are if you asked him.

The scorpion-like being trotted here and there, getting bored with the country area and decided that he should cause some mischief in the name of scathing off boredom. Nope... Not even after setting off several alarms of cars, frightening a couple dogs, and even spooking a horse did he get any sort of laugh. So, Orion, bored out of his mind, decided to do something random: He'd start chasing the pigeons in the park and scare little old persons with breadcrumbs.

And yet.... there was a nagging sense of boredom.

That familiar scorpion like tail had a Pith Helmet on and was seemingly terrorizing a little old lady that smelled discreetly of boiled cabbage. Orion heard his name and bobbed up, finding himself wearing an over-sized sun hat that seemed to be almost too large for him, save for the fact that it had golden tresses falling from the inside of it. His own mane of red mixed with it to create a comical dye job.

" What? Huh? Who's there! " he called out, rather confused that someone knew his name. The poor old lady was out the door and what not... So he lumbered out and blinked as that one winko he was told not to even dare touch approached. Naturally, that only made him want to touch her more. Sigh...silly Ilex and his idle threats didn't work on the great Scorpion King. "Mini-me! Er! Howdy! Want a Pith helmet? They've got plenty of them in there you know. I think they even had a pink with florals on it, maybe even one with fishies... " He clacked his mandibles happily, quite unaware that the atrocious sun hat was still being worn.

Then he realized he just incriminated himself. He sighed and sat down in front of the pretty female with a loud thump. "Umm....this isn't what it looks like! I was bored! Fleshies were around...had to play with them... Um... Blub? "

"You sure? Well, okay! " The Scorpion King shook off the two hats he was wearing and jogged closer, pausing as she raised a claw to place that flower of hers back into place. Females were scary when they raised their paws. Couldn't be sure if this one would take a swipe at him or not. Not that Orion assumed she was a violent one. "Pretty flower. " he said, tilting his head to the side to get a better look at it. "Makes your fur pop...um... Oh look a squishy! " If one could blush under a carapace, poor Orion was surely.

There seemed to be a little kid that could see them. Poor kid must be scared stiff from the sight of them. Orion clicked his mandibles in thought, then blinked in slight surprise as Mini-Me, whom he gaged to be much more mild natured then other Winiko he met, fluffed up and hissed rather menacingly.

Lub-dub, lub-dub, lub-dub.

The guy was slack jawed in awe, and there was this odd pounding in his chest, no throat, no wait...ears! Yes! Had to be the ears as they were feeling a little bit warm. Could this be actual love folks talked about? Probably not. Puddle gave him an earful about this 'love thing'. Perhaps this is the whole 'Twitterpated' thing from that movie about the little herbivore that that doe was shot in... All Orion could do was say, "Wow... Your evil. I like you! "

Orion was still stunned and amazed, probably quite entranced too. I mean, shiny on tail jingling like that was bound to catch his eye. He just nodded, agreeing with the pretty girl. "Your...um.. Welcome! Yes. Quite welcome. " He nodded several times.

Her invitation for a walk in the woods was met with a blank stare, a tilt of the head, some more blushing, that eventually led to some gargling. Gargling would be replaced with actual words momentarily. " Walk? Sure! Walking sounds great! Big spooky woods, even better! ... Its wet there isn't it? " he asked slyly, eying the path that led to the woodland area suspiciously. He tilted his head to the side, tilted it the other way and bounded over to Mini-Me, glaring at the path still. " I don't like wet... "

"Because wet equals moist. And Moist isn't fun. Its all Damp and misty and hazy and I just don't really like getting wet in stinky, old, dank leafy mud or puddles. " he grumbled before glancing about more. Oh look! The beach! He totally forgot about the beach! He hadn't been there in... long time.

"BEACH! OMG LETS GO NAO!! " The Scorpion King giggled and rolled onto his back, child like. Lots of sand. He loooved sand. And salt water. Why, if he didn't know better, he was part sea animal! ( Of course, he would deny it if there proved to be any proof that he was related to the silly sea fairing folk. ) Orion was back on his feet, floofed out his great mane, lightly head butted Mini-Me and bounced towards the beach path. He would stop a couple feet ahead and then bounce back and bounce forward again. Grinning widly while he did such too.
