Meth on Meth

PostPosted: Sat Mar 20, 2010 12:11 pm

German industrial metal band Rammstein have been forced to apologise to their fans after a “low key” performance left many feeling short changed. The band are claiming that since the recession they have had to “downscale” their theatrical ambitions, and are hoping that the “music will do the talking” for them.

Rammstein fan Alice Kreuzfeld-Smith said “When Till Lindemann shimmied down a rope holding a sparkler – that actually went out halfway down the rope – I thought to myself… ‘maybe they’ve made some cut-backs’, but I wasn’t prepared for what followed. Recession or no recession, I’ve got expectations for a Rammstein concert, and they don’t include a catherine wheel that fails to go off.”

Um, excuse me, but shouldn't these so-called "fans" be happy they at least got to HEAR them perform? I mean, seriously? They get pissed because Rammstein has to save some money? I would be happy if they got up there and just played without all their pyro just as long as they played for us! It's a BAND, not a stage act. For god's sake, what is up with these people? At least they got to see them! I can't even afford that!

Thoughts?

Herr Till Lindemann Edit: The source is from a spoof website. That is a fake interview. Though, Till shimming down a rope would be epic.

I totally agree with you Vodka. People are retarded, I mean who cares if their saving, plus the fans have to understand that they aren't as young as they used to be even if they are Rammstein. And this is why I have finally gotten sick of people in general.

I was starting to get pissed off, but then I followed the link all the way through.

No worries, guys. It's a joke article. biggrin Or so I'm assuming from the last paragraph:

Quote:
Many fans were hoping to see Till set on fire, but were disappointed when he proceeded to play the band’s latest hit single Health und Safety ist toll (Health and Safety is smashing), a 10-minute industrial metal magnum opus dedicated to those who have suffered accidents in the workplace. The song’s lyrics, when translated, read: “watch that cup of coffee, you might get scalded, watch that trailing wire, you might trip and hurt yourself, watch that plug point, you might burn burn burn burn burn burn burn.”

Joke is not funneh.

Though in all honesty I can actually see people seriously getting upset if Rammstein didn't perform up to par.

I'm glad it's fake. I figured it out after reading the comments on the article. But I won't lie, this part made me laugh: "And we’ve been told to stop all the strobing lights because they give Till a headache, and they could potentially cause epilepsy." Wut.

Yep, it is. I just read though it myself and saw that the post had originated from a known spoof site.

It didn't make sense since all the comments about their tour so far have all been positive, and people saying how amazing the show was.

I think I just snorted my drink out of my nose while imaging this. It's the Benzin video all over again!

But seriously. Those "fans" can go kiss my a**. Rammstein was at their best in the early days when they didn't use many pyro props and just bounced around the stage like the goof-balls they are. To this day, I enjoy the 1996 stuff as much as what they do now.

Hahahaha it's Rammstein! People should be greatful that they even got to see the band!! Who cares if it'd be a low-budget show, the men would come up with some way to entertain those that don't actually appreciate the music. I was sitting in front of this guy during MSG who bitched the entire time before Combichrist started playing then afterward before Rammstein about how he paid 200 dollars for seats in the 400 section and blah blah blah how he couldn't really afford it and whine whine whine. I used part of my student loan money for that trip, and I know someone that wanted to murder a person for a ticket. It's Rammstein, that shouldn't even matter!!

Damn straight it doesn't matter. I'm STILL broke from my trip to go see them. Won't be back up to where I should be until two more paychecks. sweatdrop
