The days were growing warm during the days and icy at night. Any feline or canine caught in the wind would instantly feel the shift and know what time of day it was. As their paws hit the pavement, it would send chills right to their bones and cause fur to stand on end. That is how it affected him, however. Woe was not young, nor was he incredibly old. He'd lived long enough, so far, to figure out the deeper meaning of things and appreciate beauty in all forms. He even saw the beauty in not being able to see out of his left eye. Then again, he did not know any better. He was born with this defect, blindness, and it bothered him when he was younger. When he was but a kit, Woe hated not being able to see out of his eye. He would always have to turn his head to make sure no one was sneaking up on him. His older siblings loved scaring the meek olive colored male.
But, he grew up, and things evened out. He learned to hear better from his left, but it didn't affect his right hearing at all. Now he just could hear if someone was trying to come talk to him from the left. No, Woe had it figured out.
Padding down the sidewalk through the park, he looked at all the humans. Some would stop and click their tongues at him, trying to get him to go to them, but he learned a long time ago that house cats got fat and snobby. He didn't like that. He liked being how he was; a gentle, lover of everything. Woe would let them pet him for a while, but if they tried to pick him up, oh no. He would wiggle and get free. He would never hiss, growl, or bite. But just let the humans know that that is not how he wanted to be handled.
Looking through his good eye, he spotted an empty bench and moved there, jumping up and just sitting. Maybe some other feline, or canine, could come about to keep him company or share conversation.

Jessie was walking down the street when she saw another cat just hanging out on a bench she looked around and it looked safe enough so she walked up and again checked she was a little shy of people but she was ok with aother cats. so she bunched her muscles then lept up onto the bench that the other cat sat on " hello she said as she got her balence then she sat on the edge incase he was unfriendly but it looked safe enough. " it a nice day is it not?" she loved the wind in her furr. she twitched her tail as she waited for a response.
