Name: Kita
Age: mid to late 30's
Occupation: Assassin under The Vanguard/Adventurer/Wanderer
Physical Appearance: Average height, average build, but in much better shape than average, in a stringy sort of way. Dark hair, dark eyes. Attractive, but neither pretty nor beautiful, on features alone. Incredibly graceful, in an aristocratic sort of way, but only when she's not pretending she isn't.
Background: Given up by her birth parents when she was offered a "better life." Raised by the founder of The Vanguard as something less than a daughter but more than a servant. Trained as an assassin, but also as a competent and well-read member of and egalitarian society. Worked as an assassin, despite knowing that there are holes in the logic she follows. Was something of a prodigy, but... that had a strange way of biting her in the a**. She was the dark shadow to the Founder's bold and optimistic future, the evidence of the flaws inherent in his thesis, and she remained that way even after he died, though she never admitted it.
Psycho-Babble: There are two things that really characterize Kita; isolation and stubbornness. She was never particularly close to her semi-adopted father, and I guess she... never really learned how to make friends. Kenzie sort of adopted her, but that's dysfunctional, and her relationship with Sasha is just... strange. She clings desperately to the belief that the whole Vanguard thing will usher in a greater era or whatever, but on some level, she suspects that it won't, though she won't admit to the doubt and just get it over with, so instead has fun with denial. Because denial is so much fun. She wants more than anything to believe in the possibility for happiness, but the more she clings to it, the more it slips from her grasp.
