The Mess Hall is the first building you see when you enter the campgrounds. Coming up the trail from the west of the grounds, you can see it on your left. It's a big building with double-glass doors. It's only one floor, with a tall ceiling. The majority of the hall is filled with long, wooden cafeteria tables when campers sit and enjoy their meals. Hot meals are served three times a day, and the menu's always changing! (Well, okay...not always...you may find yourself eating a lot of pancakes and belgian waffles for breakfast most of the time).
I won't lie to you: it's hot out here in late summer! And well, no one thought to put air conditioning in any of these buildings. So, in an attempt to keep you campers cool, there are a bunch of ceiling fans on the high ceiling to help with that. Though, they really don't help at all...might as well just be for decoration...Especially since the Mess Hall also has tall windows all around that let in the sun during the day, baking you campers inside as if you were in some sort of easy-bake oven. Quite ironic, actually. Well, at least you're food won't get cold.
