Dresden Codak. THE most epic art on the internet. I've been reading it for quite a long time now, but it's one of those comics that you just randomly remember and go back and read all of the updates at once. He doesn't stick to a release schedule, and really doesn't release many comics, but when he does, they're beautiful, and the story is brilliant. I've sort of based my friends portrayed personality on my blog off of Tiny Carl Jung from that comic.
DarthsAndDroids This comic is built using screenshots of the star wars movies, set to a "D&D" campaign in the star wars universe, set in a world where there was no star wars. Very interesting, and the author's notes are always funny things about DM'ing and etc.
Questionable Content 1600+ pages of comics, with a direct and funny storyline, updating every weekday, what isn't to love. This comic is quite funny, with memorable characters. Slight science fiction overtone, but mostly sticks to the present day situations.
Templar, Arizona Found this comic a little while back, but the story is exquisite, the art is epic, and it's set in an interesting alternate history that always keeps you guessing. Undeniably a must read.
Aardehn Very short so far, but interesting none the less. Some sort of unexplained fantasy world, with an unexplained story. Keeps you wanting more, but it isn't updated very often.
Dreamless A painted comic, not very long, but very deep. Set around WW II.
Oglaf Hehe, a porn comic. Very funny, but very disturbing. Read at your own risk.
PAWN Another comic featuring lots of nudity, but not pornographic like the one above. Random demons.
Our Home Planet Aliens get stranded on earth, and attempt to blend in with a couple of humans. Hilarity ensues.
Surviving The World Yay for photocomics. This one is all about college things. Mostly.
Erf World
Random DM gets transfered to a world where tabletop rules are the world. Quite funny. Also, Dwagons.
Order of the Stick D&D given life as stick figures. Very good. Evil align hobbits are epic.
MS Paint Adventures A few funny and cool storylines suggested in part by the community behind the site. Done in the way of the choose your own adventure books. The adventures are mainly
Homestuck and
Problem Sleuth.
Schlock Mercenary A comic about an amorphous blob with an addiction to big guns. Also accompanied by a mercenary group.
Girl Genius
A great steampunk story with its own twist on the existence of high machinery.
Three Panel Soul My favourite comic of all. Brilliant art, and funny jokes, Matt and Ian have hit a perfect balance. There is no story, save for a few comics that work with eachother, if you want story from the same artists, go to their old comic, which I’ve listed next.
Mac Hall This was one of the first webcomics I ended up reading, and really deserves praise. The art style evolves from almost scribbling to some of the best art I have ever seen.
XKCD Purposefully unpronounceable, xkcd is a comic about math, physics, romance, and more recently, internet culture. Many of the jokes come off as funny, others as stupid, depending on what you think is funny.
Wondermark Old style images used for new style humor. Very funny.
Copper Fewest pages ever for a webcomic, but it still works well. Story about a boy and his talking dog, and their random adventures.
A Softer World
Another picture comic, this one being more random and philosophical than surviving the world.
Anders Loves Maria Read most of this a while back, but it has gotten a bunch of updates since then, and is now finished. Good story, slightly sad, slightly hard to follow, but quite interesting.
I think there might be a few more I missed... >___>
Edit: added a few more.
