The orange-yellow sun rose just over the horizon in The Great Valley, waking up the small town, but on the other side of the world, and millions of years later, the sun had just set, and the moon rose, along with the howls of the timber wolfs.

Sean sprang up, now awake, looking at the calender. January 7 2010. Today was the worst day of his life, on account of it being his 12th birthday, and the day his family moved to London. He remembered the day of the news so vividly, that it seemed like it just happened a few mornings ago, not a year ago.
All was normal, when he came down the stairs in his good school cloths, his hair unneat, but kept in place by his gel. His annoying little sister Brooke, who really looked nice for her 8th birthday, was eating french toast, his father, in a suit and tie, reading the newspaper, not bothering to look up as he came in, and his mom, in an apron, worried about the small stuff, like the peice of hair that was sticking up over the rest on Sean's head. He was just about to sit down in his favorite chair, when his mom and dad said, "Were moving."
He had dropped his bowl of cereal on the ground, the bowl splitting into millions of tiny peices, and the milk spraying all over the place. The toast Brooke had been eating, was now on the floor next to Sean's cereal, but Brooke wasn't with them anymore, she had fled up to her room.
And now a year later, on his birthday, Sean was moving to California. He keep telling his dad and mom, they didn't need to move. And that he wanted to finish the rest of the year with Ted, but they didn't care. He wanted to stay in the building he had since he was born, the school he had been in since pre-school, the city that was full of light, the Red Sox, he wanted to stay in New York.
The house was empty, bare, boxes scatered around the house. Nothing was left except the mat he was sleeping on, and the blanket he used to keep warm. The calender was the last artical on the wall, and Sean sat up. He sighed, and stared out the snow-covered window, for the last time. Then he got up and looked at his watched. 6:45. Sigh, he thought, still got an hour. He knew he couldn't go back to sleep, but he didn't know what to do.
In the bathroom he took off his shirt, and put on an orange one with blue stripes. He washed his hands, brushed his teeth, and combed his hair. Until his mom was up, he was going to have to read. To bad he didn't have to walk the dog today, or he would be out already with Asahe. After five minutes, he just couldn't take it and he got a bit to eat, and walked out the door.
"Hey Sean." Tina said, with a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye.
"What up Tina." Sean said, walking next to her.
"Same old, same old. I'm going to miss you, you know." She said walking.
"I know." Sean said looking down as they walked in scilence. Finally they got to the bus stop and there were a bunch of thugs. But today they weren't thugs, they were like old friends. Kenny, was the one that picked on him the most, stood next to the pole, eating a sandwich.
