The series started yesterday (Sunday 25th) in the UK. We won't get it in the US on PBS til October.
A friend in the UK raves about the series. He said they did a great job staying true to the characters & the feel of the adventures.
So I'm kind of looking forward to it now! Yay, Stephen Moffat!

Being an internet pirate, I have seen it already, and it is BRILLIANT.
The characters are engaging. Though Watson isn't exactly the way I picture him from the books, I suppose allowances have to be made for the modern setting. Sherlock Holmes texts. It's epic.
I'll refrain from spoiling, though. I only wish they were doing a complete series.

When will you make an end?!

Ok. I watched Sherlock with the mindset that I was going to be disappointed. Guess what?
I wasn't!

This is the first time something like this has been even remotely successful in my mind. The Mr. Holmes personality is pretty spot on with the book (though call me crazy, I am a little disappointed that he doesn't smoke. I don't even like smoke/ers/ing. lol). The whole Mycroft/Moriarity thing in the first episode was a little confusing to me and I wasn't exactly sure why they even put it in.

All in all, I am enjoying the series!

When I am finished!

Looking forward to Series 2!
I do so hate cliffhangers. But the internet rumour mill is pumping, and there are theories that the swimming pool = Reichenbach. Only with a bomb instead of a multi-storey fall and a coma instead of going missing.
I hope the coma bit is baloney, because that would put far too much of a soap-opera spin on things, in my opinion. xP
