Just came back from the British Invasion, it was pretty badass but it was ended shortly last night around 8:45pm as Broken Bones were just finishing, riot control fired mustard gas into and outside of the stadium from the parking lot.
Earlier around 7:00-7:30 neo-Nazi protesters were yelling "White Power!" outside of the stadium but it was cut shortly by skinheads and punks then finally the white power protesters were kicked out by security.
The concert goers, including myself, became pissed that the pigs ended the show before Vice Squad, GBH and the Adicts got to play, so as everyone left tension grew, windows, signs, cash registers, and merchandise were destroyed around the Stadium as we were demanded to leave by the pigs.
Jacked-up In The Box, Carl's Jr. and Wienerschnitzel were ******** up, all the windows smashed, chairs inside thrown everywhere, cash registers taken, two dumpsters on fire, dress store looted but most damage was of all the windows of small businesses four blocks down from each intersection.
The police helicopter kept circling around the area while the pigs just circled in their squad cars and riot control kept in a small line armed with rubber bullets, K9s, grenade launchers for tear gas and night sticks drawn but the squad cars and officers outside of the stadium had the most damage, there were 1,500 concert goers against about 75 pigs, but the destruction frenzy only lasted for 30 minutes. So, in the end, I was pissed that I didn't see GBH or the Adicts play but I had fun before and during the riot, I just need to be more prepared for another riot next time, and that the riot got front page on the The Sun.
