For all you rebellious, DiY spirits out there, come hither and we shall bask in the glories of folk punk. It's a genre of music that I'm still getting into, but I've checked out a few different bands and I really enjoy what I've been hearing. Anyways, here's a a sampling songs but some cool folk-punk bands, for those who are interested.

"Never Trust A Man Who Plays Guitar" - Wingnut Dishwashers Union
"The Devil And My Family" - Ghost Mice
"The New Mexico Song" - Johnny Hobo And The Freight Train
"Hot Diggety" - This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb
"Heartilation" - Andrew Jackson Jihad

Do you love Regina Spektor also?

They have some nice shirts there, but they're a little too expensive for my liking.

I've actually never listened to Regina Spektor.

You should check out interpunk.com. They have a pretty good selection of band shirts for a pretty reasonable price. However, generally speaking, if you want to buy a band shirt, it's usually cheapest to order it straight through the band (that is, if the band is still active).

Ohh, I know. Hot Topic is miserably disappointing and overpriced when they sometimes have the t-shirts. Don't try wearing your Andrew Jackson Jihad shirt to the airport. Ha, ha.

I thought I wasn't into folk-punk anymore, until I read your list and realized I cover all of those songs. ^^;
I've been trying to get out of it and get more into my own style, being Gypsy-Zouk-Punk-Folk.

That's cool. I play Post-industrial noisecore with medieval zeuhl influences.

I know a lot of people who play mixed genres I've never heard of, so I didn't think twice. sweatdrop
