Sorry no, but it's a really good guess! I personally didn't think of Krysta but when I saw this on another fourm someone explaind how it could have worked and it fits well but the other answer works better.

The fixed Elnoyle encounter in Esthar?
Because it drops energy crystals which would be the burning in the lionheart. Energy Crystals also refer to the fuel for your soul somehow? Its a fly monster like Krysta (behind the chandelier) which also has something to do with energy crystals. If your strength is not high enough it will only drop moon stones because it is immune to level up and down. It will respawn when you go to a new screen (which is the trek referred to). The guy who turns into the Elnoyle laughs when you talk to him which refers welcoming you back with naught but glee. There are a lot of visage's in Esthar and in memory would be the Sorceress Memorial. He is pretending to be a human. And he doesn't know what he drops and doesn't understand why he needs to die just because he is a monster.
