"Every scar is a lesson...It's no secret that I'm a Nintendo fanboy, I rarely mess with the other systems. Nintendo has enough stuff to amuse me as far as games go. StarFox, Pokemon, Zelda, Mario, and others. Well, a while back, I was moving back in with my folks, and put away my copy of Super Smash Bros. Mellee. That got me thinking...
Wouldn't it be awesome to have a Super Smash Bros game on the DS? I know there is a similar game out there, but it's not actually Super Smash Bros. They made Mario Kart and Mario Party for the DS, so I'm really hoping this is somewhere on Nintendo's "To-do list".
What about you? Any ideas you think would be awesome? ...Every battle a test of what you have learned."

I'm not sure... That seems like a lot to put on the DS and have it running good.... The DS just can't take that much. I WOULD be awesome if they could find a way to perfect it. It's a very fast paced game. I don't think they could get much touch action into it... Menus.. But it would be awesome to be able to battle friends wherever =b For some reason, Brawl doesn't work online for me... I've yet to actually get into a match =

I agree with Harcourt. If there was a way they could put Smash Bros on the DS, I think it would be cool. I'd definitely play the DS more.

I don't think it would be cool. I think it would lose most of the fun of the game with playing with other people. It's much less personal to play a game with other people on the DS than it is with a console.
Also, harcourt has a point. The DS isn't powerful enough for SSB sort of action in full form. Everything would have to be 2D, and most stuff would be severely limited.
And brawl has shone that SSB doesn't really work online.

Maybe if they made it all like "We're being back the ORIGINAL Smash Bros. to you in DS form!!" They might be able to pull that off. 3nodding

"Every scar is a lesson...Well, as I said before, they did do it with Mario Kart and Mario Party. (Not really a good example, I haven't played them, but an example nonetheless) I imagine it'd eventually be doable though.
As far as the "Taking away from the personal feel" thing, I'm not too sure. Pokemon has shown that voice chat through the DS is possible. Not only that, but of course there would be a DS wireless play option for people to sit in a room and play with each other.
I'm not asking for fancy "Lets cram more in this than Brawl" crap. But a little multiplayer only (or CPU battles) game with the different characters would be cool. ...Every battle a test of what you have learned."

I would be a very nice idea. Hmm.. I suppose Super Mario DS was pretty well remade. Can't see why they couldn't make the original Smash Bros. That idea, I really like lol

Maybe, most of you don't know the power behind the DS. I'm not saying it's a super computer, but the DS was already more powerful than the N64. Also, on top of that they are making advancements in the cartridges. They can hold more than double the originals.
As for the touch screen..ness. It isn't needed. And not all of the DS games have it. Nintendo is a good judge of when to and not to put in Touch screen features. But, with that being said it would be cool if he screen worked with final smashes.

There we go. Smashes. I was just thinking it would be nice to incorporate the touch screen in a few more games. Not a necessity. It's more so the graphics of the game that the DS has troubles with. I'd be pretty disappointed if the quality was less than N64 standards... So, yea

Well, no worries than. It wont be less than the N64s. What they could do(if you're that worried about graphics) is make it with sprites. It would make it look fairly clean and there would be less polygons.

I was a little curious of how that would look, too. With sprites. Be interesting....
