Although he isn't an ANBU member he was raised in away that forced him to do what is necessary in order to achieve victory and he has no problem killing anything. In fact he can kill with hesitation if it is needed and remorse is a word that Akira has no concept of; which probably stems from the amount of corruption he was exposed to while young. Because of that Akira has a very hard time distinguishing between right and wrong and often does what he feels like.
