It all started in peaceful Phoenix, Arizona. Rioting of some kind, that's all they ever
said on the news, anyone could sense something was out of place. The rioters
moved with an unreal disregard for not only their target's safety, but they seemed
to put their own lives at risk if it meant getting what they wanted.

It spread onto Utah and New Mexico next, the other surrounding states following
in line over the course of two weeks eventually taking over. But when the virus
finally arrived in Maine, when there wasn't a free state left, the infected all
mysteriously commited suicide.

It was a virus, a virus unlike any other that drove people mad to the point of
violence and eventual suicide. The real problem though?

The infected didn't stay dead.

2010
The world, as we know it, has ended.

It's been two years since, what some survivors are calling, "D" burned a bloody
path through human society. Most of the world has been wiped out at this point,
not even small islands surviving once D went airbourne. Those who are strangely
immune, those who have been left behind to inherit humanity's remains and hopes
for a future, have learned to keep on the move. Staying on the move was the only
apparent way to survive, if you didn't have a good defense up, because no matter
where you go or what you do, they'll never stop hunting. They don't sleep, they
don't drink, they don't breathe, all they want to do is satiate their never-ending
hunger...and you're the main course.
