Cinnabar Island DESCRIPTION -Cinnabar Island is a large island located off the southern coast of the Kanto region, south of Pallet Town. It is home to a large volcano. Blaine is the resident Gym Leader, specializing in Fire-type Pokémon. Cinnabar is a kind of red mineral, associated with hot springs and volcanoes. There are no land paths to the island. Instead Route 20 in the east and Route 21 in the north are both waterways through the ocean. The volcano erupted on the island, destroying everything, except for the Pokémon Center. After several years of work, the island was cleared enough for Blaine to relocate his gym back onto Cinnabar island and out of his cave on one of the Seafoam Islands. LOCATION -Cinnbar Island is located in southeastern Kanto. PEOPLE - The only people here are Blaine, and the people who run the pokemon center. Other than that, nothing but volcanic rocks and beaches exist here. Though occasionally the leader of the Viridian City Gym is said to be seen here... RESOURCES/EVENTS - Cinnabar Island Gym - The Cinnabar Island Gym is home to Blaine, the Fire-Type Pokemon Gym Leader. Defeating his powerful flaming pokemon earns trainers the Volcano Badge. Pokemon Center - This island operates only a small Pokemon Center to deal with the trainers' pokemon that come from fighting Blaine. MYTH/LORE - Other than being wary of another volcanic eruption, there are no major legends here.

Cinnabar Gym Leader
Cinnabar Island. A near-deserted, quiet, volcanic resort for those looking to defeat its gym leader. Aside from the gym itself, the island had only one other building: the Pokecenter. Not many people visited other than to test their strength at the Cinnabar gym, which made things a bit lonely. And to make things worse, it was a secluded island, and the only way to get there was by boat, or via a Pokemon that knew the HM, Surf.
Blaine, the previous Cinnabar gym leader, had left the little island two years ago for research-related reasons, and also to take a hard-earned vacation. He had left the gym in the care of a young 12-year-old girl whom he had personally trained years ago, and now she was ready to take on the responsibility of running the gym. Ever since, the girl had made her merry way up to a respected and revered gym leader, and was known to have a very powerful bond with her fire-type Pokemon, an essential requirement to become an even stronger gym leader and trainer.
Speaking of the girl and her fire-type Pokemon, a small shape had just risen over the horizon, getting bigger and bigger by the second. It was a Charizard, with what looked like small girl and a Vulpix riding on its back. As the Charizard landed, the girl jumped off, a wide grin on her face.
"Cinnabar Island, Sappho's HOOOOMMMEE~!!"
With a small giggle, Sappho reached into her pouch and tossed out all her Pokeballs. When each one hit the ground, the Pokeballs opened up, a white light shooting out, then taking the form of a Pokemon: A shiny Ninetales, Houndoom, Camerupt, and a shiny Ponyta. They all looked a little relieved to be out of their small confinements for hours on end as they were taken overseas via the Charizard, who had a slightly embarrassed look on its face as his master and best friend shouted at the top of her lungs.
"Hm? What's the matter, guys? Oh, right, food! You all must be hungry. Lets go to the Pokemon Center and get you some food."
As she said this, Sappho, picked up her Vulpix, named Maple, and started walking towards the white and red building. Her Pokemon grunted and started to follow her inside. And, as always, her Charizard, Ryuu, who was always too big to fit through the door, stayed outside with the Camerupt, named Dozer and the Houndoom, named Daredevil. The Ninetales, Syrup, and Ponyta, Apple Jack, however, loved visiting the Pokemon Center with Sappho because they got to meet many different trainers and their Pokemon while she got them food.
