Not sure if everyone knows yet, but Stranger's added a strict "No Flee" policy. All losses must be honored; cowards will be executed. I'm absolutely thrilled. How does everyone else feel about this wonderful new rule for which I have a clear and painfully apparent bias towards? (( No, this is not an April Fool's joke. See for yourself. ))

This is the post that broke the camel's back. It was a 43 to a 66. Eragon326 RAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR scream scream Doyle saw the beast before him and felt the power of pure darkness and hatred exploding out of The Beast. Immediately Doyle knew that his opponent was a creature of ancient and unimaginable evil and thus,as a warrior of light and a vampire slayer. it was his duty to combat evil. The Beast. Doyle drew out a grenade from his knapsack and threw it at The Beast. However, The Beast simply used it's powers of Darkness to consume the grenade. Next, Doyle started shooting the Beast. Doyle must have blasted thousands of bullets at the Beast but to no avail. The Beast was immortal and invulnerable to the weapons of man. The Beast pounced on Doyle and Doyle was scarred terribly by the Beasts claws but before The Beast could ultimately slay him, Doyle drew a stake in the shape of a cross and blessed by the Pope and plunged it deep into the chest of The Beast. The Beast gave an unearthly Roar and vanished into Darkness, leaving a broken and bleeding Doyle dying but still alive on the Arena floor. @ TNP The Beast is Rage. The Beast is Hate. The Beast is Death. The Beast is Darkness. DIE!!!!!!!! So yes, forfeits are still valid, because you're not walking out of your own free will. To forfeit, is to concede to defeat. It's akin to being beaten. Same damage to self-pride which is why, a lot of them do it I believe.
Another example, this one of a 24 responding to a 63: Nokturnal Evisceration "Sure" Alexei said as he prepared to try out his new weapon. "This over here is what's known as a Panzerfaust, it's over 60 years old. Now normally I'd use my modern weapon, but I figured since my opponent is a mortal it won't make a difference." long story short, he didn't give much credit to his opponent. The vampire took aim, and fired. As is expected of old weapons, it didn't go off; rather it blew up before it could fly. When the smoke cleared Alexei stood there very irritated. He wasn't smiling like he usually was. Caelan attacked with his whip, and Alexei caught it with his hand. He then pulled and Caelan flew in his direction, and just when Alexei was about to punch his head off.... *cell phone rings* "O what could they possibly want now?!" Alexei answered his phone while Caelan kept flying past him and hit the wall. "Come in Come in! bbrrrhrhhrhrh Were under attack! Werewolves everywhere! *screams and gunshots in background* We need help! Get over here asap!" the voice said. "Dammit these idiots, can't they pick a better time to get attacked?!" Alexei grew out his wings and flew through the roof and out of the arena. Caelan won through disqualification. @TNP: "I promise this is going to hurt." This particular kid is now on ignore because of other past grievances.
If anyone has anything to say, or suggestions for improvements, I am always eager to listen. I'd like to make the battledome home for those who regularly visit, and take a hard stance towards those who disrupt the peace.

So the battle where the maltir got buzzed by Vivi and ran whimpering out of the arena was acceptable, right? You don't necessarily have to die every time you lose?

I pesonally would like to ask that the fleeing be kept to a minimum. I mean, I try to not flee so much, but after losing battle after battle, I begin rnning out of ideas on how to lose. I mean, don't you get tired of describing how your character got shot or stabbed over and over?
... We need Death-traps.

Maybe this is a 'red-letter' opportunity to use various research engines. I recommend Googling 'How to die with honor' or perhaps, 'combat techniques and elimination methods'.
I believe that the effort given should be the effort received, even with a loss.

Doesn't change the fact that eventually your run out of research material. XD I think I might actually include death traps in my future posts, because honestly, there's only so many ways to win using ice magic. XD

I don't know, I never get tired coming up with ways for Nyrk to win AND lose.
I make sure never to get so attached to him I can't bear to see him fail. I make him fail because it's good for him, as a character. And when I make him fail, he isn't getting a break from ME.

How often do you lose though? I seem to have luck rigged against me. XD I'm just speaking through a bias myself, though... I just prefer a variety of situations and losing with a 7 to a 50 just gets annoying after awhile.

I rarely roll against anything under 50.
I lose pretty often, sometimes on PURPOSE.

Try suicide charges regularly; Dice Gods seem to favor the brave foolhardy.

The Dice Gods screw me over every chances they get. XD Trust me, my luck is so bad that breaking mirrors and running under ladders may be a good idea.
