First off, props to Gear for this site, his organizational skills far exceed my own. I salute the hard work of everyone here. Frankly, I let things get out of hand and have no intention of reassuming my old responsibilities.
That said, it's certainly been a long time and a lot of things have changed. Now, I'm merely a rusty old gamer with a meager bit of talent here and there. Quite frankly, I'm surprised to be able to leave this message and don't know how long I really have to be around. So let me get straight to the point, is there anyone here who like to help fill me in on what has changed around here?
I'd like to help out while possible. I'm thrilled to see a battle system, sad I missed the launching, hope to see some of you there if possible.
Feel free to come by and tell me how well is the mercenary business going. I might be open for a good combat rp to shake the rust off. I hope to be here to respond if you leave a post, so please do.

Ma'am, it's good to see you again. We've actually changed a lot since you've been gone, and have gone through a significant number of ordeals.
I'll list the bigger ones real quick: -The Suicide Conflict: Essentially, SS#1 betrayed us and used us. There's more to it (A lot more) but it ended with him attempting to destroy the guild. Super_Chi caught him and demoted him to member, but he quit the guild before we could do anything else (Though we probably would have banned him...) He's now considered an enemy of the League. -Typo Attack: Typo_Negativ wiped the guild, in an attempt to give us a chance to "start over." We recovered remarkably quickly. -SEALS war: A n00b guild challenged us to a guild war. We never fought (As they didn't show up) but it provided a large boost in activity.
As well, we've had a massive change in the guild infrastructure, just recently. It depends primarily on the Departments. The bulk of it is in the "Overhaulus Totallus" thread, I highly suggest reading up on it.
Another couple of things worth noting, Darius Roslyn previously assembled a tournament for us, of the Roleplaying sort. We intend to launch it after... The Revres RP. Essentially, it's the official guild RP. Everyone in the league is welcome, and we've got a good plot going. (The Continent, Revres, is under attack by Suicide and two others, who killed the god of revres and took his powah. So, we, being the most powerful fighting force on the planet, get to fight them! That's the bulk of it...)
Our Current Crew includes Gear and Myself as co-captains, Klamachpin (Currently inactive) as VP, a guild mule, K' the warrior, Aiusagi, Kaneharo, and (Our most recent addition) Nxegex.
Anything I missed?

Umm...the Battle System (Now known as zOMG) is not much of a battle system as much as it is just a MMORPG. Well, actually I was expecting something like PvP, but instead we got zOMG. PvP will come later (Hopefully soon) along with chapter two. That's why I said we just got a MMORPG instead. ._.
If you wanna give zOMG a shot, now its a good time as ever. There are a LOT more features out there than when it was launched (I finished the game before most of these features were launched, so now it's easier to understand). So in a way, you're lucky you missed the launch. Not only that, but assuming you start playing and finish it soon, you won't have to wait as much for Chapter two. Well, either way, it is fun. Just know this; 90% of the quests require you to team up with a crew. Having said that, I'm pretty sure most of us would be happy to help you out. Even though I assume most people here have reached the highest level (10.0), we can just suppress our level and help you out (Yet another new feature).
And...Wielder pretty much covered the rest. 3nodding

Whoa, this is the original creator of the first GML. I am only to bask in the awesomeness. My mouth is frozen from awe. My fingers unable to move. I am completely amazed.

Thank you MDG for your support for the guild, I think I speak for the whole crew, when I say it means a lot to us. Gear has worked tirelessly and I think your respect is something he deserves.
I know that without your leadership, none of us would be here today. Thank you ^^.

Well, I was trying to be far too open with membership policies and recruited everything and everyone. Be careful about accepting a host of illiterate spammers into guild, you need people that are serious about having a good time and utilize the battle system. Honestly, suicide#1 was a bit of a pain.
How do you wipe a guild? There were some parts of the original guild I wanted to wipe myself. The place became unmanageable.... keep it simple.
Guild wars are stupid unless you can get a somewhat literate guild that will follow some ground rules for role playing. Either by system setup or a contest of most who's logical, best written role play fighting guild. Does this guild have any real rival, I think not?
I need to take a look around here, while I'm around. twisted

Ah. SO you are the infamous MDG that I have heard whispers about since I have joined the Guild... I enlisted into the new GML a bit after it's creation. My name is Nxegex, but feel free to call me just about anything you wish.
As for 'How do you wipe a guild?' I'm going to assume that this is not a rhetorical question, Typo went through every subforum and systematically deleted every single thread within a night.

Hmmm. Well I am one of the newer people around. I was not around for the wiping of the Guild, though I heard of it. I was not around for Suicide, though I've heard of it. And I've also heard of you. Nice to meet you.
If you really need someone to play zOMG with, I could play with you. I started it upon release, but only got to a place with some gnomes or something, which was like the first area or so.

Yes. Why infamous? redface
Must have been a lot of work. I used to keep backup copies of the important threads just in case. Did he wipe this guild? Am I asking too many questions?

No, questions are fine. Typo had completely wiped this guild. The old one, as you may have noticed, was left behind, with just about everything locked, and then some.

My Apologies, Kain. You know I meant nothing by it.
And, MDG, you've been away for a couple years. It's more than fine to ask questions, get reacquainted with the League and its current status.
And yes, Typo (she) wiped the guild. Only the crew members were left. We quickly began to invite all the active members who were banned. It was also due, in significant part, to the copies that WE kept of the important posts and such that we managed to rebuild as quickly as we did.

Ahh so the famed MDG of the old Mercenary League has returned! I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you considering I joined the original guild before we moved here back in November '09. We've had all heard tidbits of info about you from the older members; Disaster.exe, Gear, Ubou, etc. but it's good to digitally see you've returned.
