Mahogany Town

DESCRIPTION -
Mahogany Town is a rather small and quaint town that serves mainly as a way-station for trainers heading either to the Lake of Rage, Mt. Mortar or Blackthorn City - it doesn't even have its own Poke Mart, with a small shop run by a little old lady supplying only the basics. There are only three real attractions to Mahogany. First is the Mahogany Town Gym, the seventh recognized by the Pokemon League - the leader here is Reno Morado - with his understudy, Aisha Walker -, and he specializes in Electric-type Pokemon. Second is the mysterious souvenir shop - this shop is famous for their RageCandyBars. Speaking of 'Rage'...the third thing Mahogany's famous for is the Lake of Rage, to the north of the town.

LOCATION -
Mahogany Town is located in northern Johto.

PEOPLE -
People here are rather open with passers-by, not being particularly aggressive or belligerent. To be honest, Mahogany isn't the most interesting town in terms of attractions or people, and for that reason, it'll probably stay that way.

RESOURCES/EVENTS/PLACES OF INTEREST -
Poke Center: - As with all settlements containing a Pokemon Gym, Mahogany has a Poke Center literally a stone's throw away from the Gym.

Pokemon Gym: - Mahogany contains the seventh gym usually encountered by trainers on their Pokemon journey. Reno Morado is the leader here, and he specializes in Electric-type pokemon. He awards the Spark Badge(and TM24, Thunderbolt) to those who are victorious against him in a 5-on-5 Gym battle(or a full 6-on-6 battle, if the challenging Trainer wishes). If Reno isn't available, his Gym understudy - native of Mahogany Town, Aisha Walker - will take his place against you.

General Store: - A little shop that stocks only the most basic of goods, it nonetheless has attracted some interest in the past, mainly because a ninja hideout used to occupy the space below the shop, a hideout used by Team Rocket once upon a time during their Lake of Rage experiments.

MYTH/LORE -
Although the town's motto is 'Welcome to the home of the Ninja!', ninjas themselves hardly pass through nowadays. The lookout towers at the town's northern edge have been replaced with electrical towers, to accommodate the new gym.

Seiko~Hitomi

Sometimes you have to kind of die inside...

Without the bad weather impeding their way, the trek back down to town was laughably easy. Seiko still managed to get them slightly lost in the process, mistaking a turn in the path for a dead end and causing them to double back quite a ways needlessly, and giving Kanoro reason to be unhappy with her for a good few minutes. His irked mood didn't clear until they finally reached town, eager to eat and settle down for the night. Seiko had mentioned being slightly hungry along the way, but now her stomach was growling so loudly it was embarrassing. She kept one arm wrapped around it to try to stifle the sounds, resulting in a few people along the streets stopping her and asking if she was feeling well. She was able to appease them easily enough, picking up the pace to the Pokemon Center with Kanoro observing her actions with a bemused air.

Seiko allowed herself a relieved sigh when they finally stepped through the automatic doors of the Center, smiling thinly as she approached the front desk. Nurse Joy was always one of the easiest people to talk to, so Seiko never felt out of place when speaking with her. "Good evening, I was wondering if we could possibly get a room here for the night. Also if there was any way I could get something to eat? I was going to buy something from the Mart...but then I realized there isn't one. I can pay for it, too." Nurse Joy only gave her one of those airy, cheerful smiles that she gave to everyone else and assured her that wouldn't be necessary, leading her down a side hall and into a room with two bunk beds against either wall. After letting her know that a meal would be sent by in a few minutes, she left Seiko alone to do what she needed.

Seiko immediately dropped her backpack by a free spot by the wall next to the door, stretching her arms over her head as she sat on one of the bottom bunks. Kanoro was studying the covering of the other bottom bunk, swiftly untucking the cover from the side and pulling it off in one swift movement. Seiko gave him a curious look, to which he replied with a knowing stare. 'Don't think I don't remember what happened when we left the covers within arms reach last time we stayed in a Center. Plato almost strangled you with them in his sleep." He frowned in thought, muttering a heated insult of the smaller fighting pokemon under his breath as he threw the blanket up onto the upper bunk. Seiko smiled, raising her hands appeasingly. "He was only having a nightmare, and he even apologized! You don't hear him say that often, you know." Kanoro snorted. 'The idiot has no self control even in his sleep.' Seiko motioned for him to be quiet, reaching for the remaining pokeballs at her belt and tossing them into the air. A cacophony of noise filled the room, mostly due to the shrill squeal from Kendi as the Cacturne materialized on the tiled floor. Cavalier was the only quiet one, as usual, and the Scizor immediately moved over to a less crowded area of the room while observing the others. "Araaa!? How come we're insiiiide? Where's the waterrrrr!?" "Maa maa, stay calm now dear. It isn't everyday we get to stay inside either, yes?" "Man, are you serious? I thought we were staying up by the lake tonight?" "Ah hell, Premala, will you shut her up already!? Either that or throw her out-" "All of you! Shut. Up." Every one of them in the room turned to face Kanoro, some not exactly happy with being ordered around but doing so anyways. Kanoro nodded to Seiko, handing the stage over to her.

"Sorry about this everyone, but there was some really bad weather up at the Lake, plus some other issues that would've made camping out sort of a problem-" "What, like rain?" Calder interrupted, seeming miffed, "We can handle a little rain-" "Try a dense fog, two Gym Leaders, and a group of ghost pokemon." The Golduck looked over to Kanoro, who was giving him a pointed look. Calder quieted, rubbing at his arm and looking slightly put out. The Lucario motioned for Seiko to continue. "So I really am sorry, but we're going to get to stay here tonight. Plus Nurse Joy is going to bring by some food. So it's not all bad, right?"

"Lass...Froslass Fros? Froslass, lass." [ So then...this must be Mahogany Town? It has an odd feeling to it. ] The Froslass spoke up before her owner could say anything. Her owner...was a young man, rather tall in stature. His dirty blonde hair and scarf were blowing in the slight wind, but that died down soon enough. His gray-brown eyes seemed to stare right through people, and his ever present smile was often seen as frightening. His name was Nikolai, and this Froslass was his Pokemon. "This is Mahongany Town, Elizabeta. It's good we got here, it's almost time for bed! And I don't know what you mean, it seems fine to me." He turned his head every which way to get a good look around. "There seems to be a little fog up North, though... Maybe that's what you're sensing, da?" The Froslass brought a hand up to her face and covered her mouth. "Frosslass...lass lass." [ Yes, that must be it...sorry to worry you, child. ]

The Froslass moved her hand from her face to Nikolai's shoulder, and looked at him kindly. She then began to float off towards the Pokemon Center, hoping to find some food for her child. After all, that was a mother's duty, right? And she saw Nikolai as her son. Entering the Pokemon Center, Elizabeta looked around calmly for Nurse Joy. Upon finding her, the Ghost/Ice Pokemon hoped that the woman would be able to understand her. "Froslass, lass." [ Nurse Joy, how nice to see you. ] She bowed slightly at this. "Froslass...fros. Lass froslass..." [ If it isn't too much trouble... I need a favour. I need some food for my human, and possibly a place to stay... ] Nurse Joy nodded, and Elizabeta smiled. Leaving the center in order to retrieve Nikolai, the Froslass was encountered by a slight problem.

"Natalia...." was all the poor boy could mutter as the witch-like Pokemon danced around him and tried to get him to hug her. But Nikolai wouldn't do that, and it was plain to see on his face that he was afraid. He had seemingly shrunk a little, and was on the ground looking up at the Pokemon that scared him so much. The Pokemon was even going as far as to begin to prepare for an Attract attack. The Pokemon was always escaping her Pokeball to do these things. But luckily for Nikolai, it was Froslass to the rescue! Elizabeta charged up an Ice Shard attack, and the Mismagius escaped into her Pokeball out of fear, muttering a simple "Magiuuus!" [ Next time, my love! ]

Regaining his color and normal aura, the young man's smile grew in thanks to his Pokemon. She led him into the Center, where even Nurse Joy seemed taken aback by him. Nikolai was confused, but this happened to the poor boy all the time. It wasn't his fault that he was completely clueless as to his dark aura and creepy nature. "You can give us a place to stay, and some food, da?" His voice seemed more threatening than polite, but Nikolai was blissfully unaware of this. Nurse Joy simply nodded and led the two down the same hall that Seiko had gone down, and into a room nearby, telling them that food would be sent to them. "Thank you, Nurse Joy." With that, he released all of his Pokemon into the room for a little stretching, except for Mismagius.

The Haunter simply took to disappearing, but Nikolai knew that he would stay in the room and try to frighten his Castform, who was sitting on the bed changing the weather in her immediate area so as to change forms. His Rotom zapped in and out of the electronics as though she were trying to see how fast she could do so, and he opened the window and released the final Pokemon outside of it to allow the Drifblim to simply sit calmly outside of it, watching all of this go on. Hopefully whoever brought the food to them wasn't afraid of Ghosts...

{{For the sake of my sanity, I am having my pokemon speak english.... just pretend they're speaking their pokechat. Also keep in mind, Andreas is meant to have a heavy accent, and deep voice.}}

Mahogony town was a small area. Just a place to passby with nothing to it other than a quaint little shop run by an old lady, and the seventh gym of the Johto region. Well there was that, and a rather large Torterra right smack in the middle of town. "Where have you brought us now Andreas? There is nothing here." The large turtle pokemon brought his head up to try and look upon his back. There, sitting under the large tree growing on his shell, was a single trainer and two other pokemon. One was a glaceon curled up next to said trainer, and the other was a small shedinja, just floating next to the trainers head.

Letting out a laugh the adventurer pat the Torterra's back. "Hey, relax Adrian. We come here for precisely that reason. We will rest here for the next few days, and perhaps challenge even challenge the gym leader." He then motioned towards his shedinja who seemed to be happily humming. "Besides, Anton likes it here. It is a spot to just relax. Now what say we head to the pokemon center. I could use a bed and shower after that last trip." "You could use a bed? What did you do today!?" "Oh quiet Adrian, this will give you an excuse to rest your feet." The Torterra let out a low hum in agreement and headed to the pokecenter. When they reached the entrance, Andreas hopped off the large pokemon and pat the turtles head. "Thank you for the ride, now I hope you don't mind waiting out here for a bit. I will find you a good place to sleep, okay?" Adrian let out a humph and gave the man a curt nod. "Good, it is very much appreciated. Stella! Anton! Come!"

With those words the Glaceon brought its head up to look at her master and immediately hopped off her ride. Trotting up to Andreas, she nuzzled his leg with her head, letting out what almost sounded like a purr. Anton the shedinja was not far behind. "We'll be right back I promise." Andreas gave the Torterra one last wave before heading in and speaking to Nurse Joy.

"Excuse me, Nurse Joy. Do you have any vacant rooms available? Most of my pokemon will do well enough with me, but Adrian," he motioned to the Torterra outside, "May not fit so well." The nurse nodded and informed him that he could stay in outside by their room's window if it pleased them. "Ah thank you, that will work greatly!" Clapping his hands he quickly turned and headed into the halls. He found his room, opened the door, and quickly stepped in, closing the door behind him and his pokemon. Grabbing another pokeball, he tossed it into the air, releasing his Dusknoir, Ludvig. After informing the large ghost of their current living arrangements the man walked into the restroom and filled up the tub. After it was full he pulled out another pokeball and released his magikarp. He pat it on the head, smiling, the walked over to the window. Opening it he yelled out to the entrance, unaware that his loud voice would easily be heard by the neighboring rooms. "Da! Adrian! Come to the side!" After a few rumbling footsteps, and a couple minutes of waiting, the large Torterra found himself lying next to the window of his trainer after passing a rather large Drifblim on the way there. "Hope you do not mind staying out here old friend. It is obvious your great strength can not be contained in this single room." The trainer chuckled as the torterra snorted in amusement. Reaching for the last occupied pokeball on his belt he released his final partner outside the window. A large Milotic now stood tall next to Adrian and craned her head down to the window. "We will not be staying out under the stars tonight master?" "No, I'm afraid not. I'm sorry Ellen, you will have to stay there for the evening. Will you be okay?" "Of course master. As long as you are near I am forever content." With a smile Andreas nodded his head and walked out of the room, planning on getting some food for the group.

Waiting to make sure her trainer was out of hearing distance, the glaceon walked to the window and stuck her tongue out at the Milotic. "It seems luck is not on your side Ellen. I will be keeping him company for tonight." With what could only be a grin, the glaceon hopped away from the window, and curled up on her master's current bed, leaving a fuming Milotic outside in the dark.

{{Decided to cut post short, as I didn't want to write a novel.}}

After he had walked out of the room, Andreas quickly glanced around, making sure none of his pokemon were following him. He loved them to death, he really did, but sometimes he liked to be alone. Besides they got along well enough to be on their own. Quickly walking to the main lobby of the pokecenter, he waved at nurse joy and gave her a smile before quickly exiting the building. Taking in a large breath of air, the trainer stretched his arms out high above his head. This town was nice. The weather seemed pleasant enough, and it was small and quiet. Similar to the boy's own hometown. "Aaah, this town is nice! It will be good to stay here for a couple of days."

Putting his hands in his pockets, the trainer left the pokecenter behind him and ventured out into the town. From what he could see there was one shop, probably run by some locals, an abandoned building, and the gym. Figuring there was no point in visiting the shop this late at night, he headed for the only thing left of interest, the gym. He did remember hearing ghost stories about this town though, so perhaps he would check out that building another time.

The boy looked around once more, making sure he didn't have any of his pokemon following. He did see a rather dense fog coming in from the north, but that was of no concern to him. The boy had grown up in blizzards, making low visibility weather something for him to scoff at.

After several minutes of walking, Andreas found himself at the doors to the Gym. He tried to peer into any available windows, but could see nothing. "Perhaps... I should knock?" With that in mind he knocked on the door with his heavy hands three times. He didn't really expect anyone to answer, but who knew? Maybe he would get lucky.

~Mahogany Town.~
Ghost Capital of the new Johto

Yuriko paced into the small town she had now dubbed as 'home', enjoying the fact the fog still yet hadn't managed to reach her. The pleasant feeling was short lived, for when she entered the town- she then only realised that nightfall was nearing, and the many colours of crimson, orange, and brilliant gold we're being eaten away by that harsh colour of blackened blue darkness.

Yuriko's hair started to flutter in the wind, and as she gazed up into the sky it dawned on her that she wasn't the only one present in the town.
She knew Blake was following close behind, but hadn't realised the pokemon centre was full and lively, not to mention a figure moving around the doors of the gym- only visible in what little light was creeping into the town before complete night fall.

Yuriko clutched her chest suppressing the fear for now. Instead she turned to Blake and smiled.
"My Gym is only over there, but it seems... I've had a few visitors. Oh dear... " She paused and thought about what people might have thought of her- knowing the gym leader had abandoned the gym for her own gain, after all it wasn't like there was much else to see. She had an awful feeling of guilt crossed her.

She turned back to what seemed to be man, peeking into the doors trying to find a insight into the gyms set out. Her guilty frown soon turned in slight amusement and she smiled slightly as she knew he would have no such luck- after all, all the gym's windows had been blocked up in order to keep the gym's new layout at its best.

Yuriko began to approach the man, her ghostly smile turning into a slight expression of sincere embarrassed. 'What if he's been waiting for a while?' she thought, rubbing her cheek and finally reaching him. She pulled down her skirt slightly- twisting the ribbon pieces in between her fingers as she blushed.

"I'm ever so sorry if you've been waiting for a long time!" She cried, bowing her head- the longer side of her hair flinging forward as she did.
"I-I'm Yuriko, I'm Mahogany Town's Gym Leader... I'm very sorry." She stuttered before placing her porcelain white fingers to her lips and lowered her eyes.

"I'll be happy to compensate if your displeased. " She continued. Yuriko hated making people upset or angry and usually took a great deal of responsibility whenever something bad occurred. She tried to regain her smile, moving her head up to see the person before her fully.
He had dark black hair that was wonderfully spiky- something that corresponded well with the entirety of his outfit.

Yuriko froze slightly while observing him, for as she did she couldn't help but notice a small drift of hazy fog floating by him... it took merely seconds for it to spread... Yuriko's face looked disheartened as the fog gradually crept around the town once more- encouraging in the element of night and killing all sunshine.

Nikolai, sitting on the edge of the bed, was watching his Pokemon play around in the room, and watched as Haunter stuck his head through the wall to look into the room next door. "Tori, stop that, da? It is not right to look into other people's rooms, it could be a nice young lady changing her clothes..." he told his Haunter, snapping his fingers. The Haunter pulled back out of the wall, laughing as Haunters do. "Haauuunt, haunter!" [ But, Nikolai, it is another man with Pokemon! ]

Nikolai tilted his head to the side slightly, and became curious about his next door neighbour for the night. Suddenly, though, he heard a voice. "Da! Adrian! Come to the side!" The man said "da?" Could he be from Snowpoint as well? Sticking his head out the window, he spotted a large Torterra, and soon enough there was also a Milotic outside keeping the Torterra company. Drifblim wasn't alone outside anymore, and she wasn't exactly happy about it. She was a bit of a coward--she was afraid she would have to battle with the Pokemon. "Franny, don't worry. It will be fine, if they attack you for some reason I'm sure Elizabeta and Tori will help you out, da?" Both of the mentioned Pokemon nodded as much as possible, grinning.

Nikolai was still curious about the boy, however, and opened his door just in time to see him walking out of the Pokecenter. "Elizabeta, keep everyone here, da?" The Froslass nodded, and Nikolai put Natalia's Pokeball on the table by the door. He followed him out, keeping himself hidden for a good while, just seening what he was doing. He rather liked the town, but didn't want to exactly follow him around. He took a different route, walking up to the small little shop. It wasn't open this late, of course, so he stepped back to get a better look at it. Suddenly, though, some fog came in. Nikolai grinned--he was used to vision impeding weather. He walked over to the gym to catch a glimpse of whatever it was that was causing it; it seemed to be coming from the girl that called herself a gym leader.

"Pardon the interruption, but you are Yuriko the Gym Leader, da?" His voice was menacing, as if he had something against her. But he didn't, not at all. He smiled widely down at the girl with the same smile that had frightened many people, his cold eyes seeming to look right through her though he wasn't. "My name is Nikolai, I thought I would introduce myself since I am staying in your city for the night, da?" His grin remained and he held out a hand for her to shake.

Not the kind of man to give up so easily, Andreas continued to poke about the gym, peering into any window he could find, but alas, all attempts were futile. Everywhere he looked, the windows seemed to be blocked out. While not uncommon among many gyms, it still irked him slightly. So much so that he failed to notice someone approaching him from behind.

"I'm ever so sorry if you've been waiting for a long time!"

Andreas has jumped a bit in surprise. How could he have been so easy to sneak up on? Turning around to face this new arrival, the man ran his gloved hand through his spiky locks, a very faint dusting of a blush upon his cheeks. He let out a forced chuckle trying to hide his embarassment and waved at the girl infront of him. "Ah it's no problem! No problem! I've only just arrived in town, and I just wished to be more aware of my surroundings. It seems I've failed, haven't I?" The man's blush came back as he averted his eyes from the face infront of him. Hopefully the fog would hide his apparent embarassment in the matter.

Speaking of the fog, Andreas just noticed that it had suddenly found its way into town, and had quickly smothered everything in its cold embrace. The man smiled as he looked about him. Now this town really reminded him of home. It gave him a feeling of calm contentment. "Ah the weather here is lovely... It brings me a certain calm..." He mumbled to no one in particular.

That was when the man decided to actually take a look at the girl infront of him. She had pale skin, dark hair, and a thin frame. She seemed to hold a grace about her that Andreas had never seen before. He was captivated for just a moment, but quickly snapped out of it. Taking the ladies hand, he laid a kiss upon her knuckles, then bowed in greeting. "Ah my apologies, Gym Leader of Mahogony. I have yet to introduce myself, my name is Andreas Adolf Svensson of Snowpoint City. It is an honor to meet you." The man may not have been prince charming, but he was taught his manners well. He just hoped she didn't have any insanely jealous pokemon that would torment him for this later on.

Standing straight once again, Andreas turned his head to the side to hide the new shade of red his face had taken on. Out of the corner of his eye, the man saw another new face approaching. He seemed familiar, and the way he spoke made it obvious he was foreign. Andreas knew exactly where he came from. "Stranger, are you also from Snowpoint City? Your accent is thick, and your attire speaks of your origins. It is good to meet a fellow man of Sinnoh." He held out his hand and gave the man a grin. Nikolai's cold aura would do nothing to deter his friendliness.

~Mahogany Town.~
Ghost Capital of the new Johto

Yuriko quickly turned into a stuttering, blushing mess from such closs contact of the man she had greeted. He was extremely handsome and had been very polite with a slightlky dark arua to his personality- despite his charm.

Yuriko Took her hand away struggling to stutter out a thanks or a simple reply.
"U-Uh U-Um.." She continued patting her cheeks in a feeble atempt to regain her composure
"It's v-very n-nice to m-m-meet you too" she managed to stutter out, before something caught her attention by yet another person approaching. She turned her head and tried to supress her blush, rejoining her words together and placing the short part of her hair behind her ear.

The man that approached was also extremely different in appearence- everyone today looked so interesting. His eye caught her aruptly, they were beautiful...but seemingly dead. A large contrast to her own violet eyes that seemed to glow through the fog.
Usually most people that came through Mahogany town would use it as a quick passway through to the more important Blackthorn city, and most of the time Yuriko paid no attention. Precicly why she would visit the lake or stay locked up in the gym- playing with Haunter or any other of her pokemon...

...Speaking of which.

Haunter circled the new commers making strange faces, before returning to his masters side and repeating his usual process of licking her neck. She desperatly tried to push him off to limit the embarrisment infront of the people that knew her as the Mahogany Town's gym leader. She must have had a reputation... but what exactly was that?

She fanned away some stray fog that floated between them.
With the hand that was still shaking, she gave her other to the Man.
"My name is Nikolai, I thought I would introduce myself since I am staying in your city for the night, da?" He said as she tried to smile.

"O-Of course thats fine... I'm Yuriko Williams... a-as you said, p-pleased to meet you." She added still stuttering with the blush still un-faded.
She thought about how busy the poké centre would be with all these new visitors.
Without taking to long to wander in her thoughts, she realised what BOTH men had mentioned...

"Snowpoint city?" She questioned her eyes slightly wide. "I-I..." She paused thinking about her time in snowpoint city, the very place she too had grown up- yet she had grown up in a place hidden in the trees, thus begining her sight of not only ghost pokemon. Somewhere that was hard to get to- meaning she was mostly alone apart form her family.

"I've heard of it..." She lied, trying to divert the conversation from that place. But as the thought of ghosts became the dominant thought in her mind... Darkness had become the winner of the present hour... and now- ghost that seemed like deformed human peices floated through the trees and out skirts of Mahogany town.

Yuriko's eye widened and she began to shake more than usual. She couldn't ever choke out a few words at the present time.
Though we she finally did manage to form setences- all that came out was;
"I-I... Think I-I should.. Go inside..." She said weakly, swaying in her balance, and desperatly trying to keep herself from falling-Her Haunter trying everything it could to calm his trainer.

Yuriko Williams huh? Yuriko... it was a beautiful name, though Andreas would never admit to this out loud. He could only handle so much embarassment in such a short amount of time. Luckily for him, the young Gym Leader seemed to be too embarassed herself to notice his own blush.

At the appearance of the Haunter, the trainer couldn't help but chuckle in amusement. He really did enjoy the antics of ghost pokemon. It was a shame his own was too lazy to pull such acts. Perhaps he would go out and catch a haunter of his own. The lively company would certainly be welcome in his company of grumpy friends.

When the girl had mentioned snowpoint city, Andreas' attention shifted from the playful Haunter to the Yuriko. Her tone seemed to change with mention of the city. Perhaps it would be best to leave this subject be. If this Nikolai was really staying at the pokecenter, then they could speak there.

When Yuriko began to sway in her balance, Andreas held some worry in his eyes. She seemed to be growing weak, perhaps she had a frail constitution. Placing a hand on her shoulder to help steady the young woman, the Sinnoh born traveler whispered into her ear. "I apologize for invading your personal space, but you look ready to collapse. Are you ill? Perhaps you should rest. I could accompany you if you'd like." His hand reached for his belt, only to take hold of nothingness. Looking down at his belt, Andreas cursed under his breath. He just had to leave his pokemon behind.

"Snowpoint City, da. I was born there and lived there until I was around 12. You are from there as well, I take it from your question, da?" But Nikolai too had listened to the girl's reaction and noticed that the mention of the place seemed to have an effect on Yuriko--so he didn't much expect an answer from Andreas. The subject would drop, seeing as neither Nikolai or the other lad wanted to cause her discomfort.

Nikolai tried to smile as the girl cutely stuttered, though it appeared as more of a smirk. "I have a Haunter as well, Miss Yuriko. Yours seems to be quite attached to you, da?" he asked as it licked her neck after floating about making faces. The girl seemed rather distressed at something, or sick. Seeing Andreas reach for his belt, Nikolai raised an eyebrow. He didn't have his Pokemon with him either.

"Perhaps Andreas here can help you into the Gym, da? You don't look very well." Nikolai would have helped, but he had seen how Andreas had looked at her. Nikolai was not going to get in the boy's way. "I think I will go back to my room, da? I will see you tomorrow, perhaps." His voice sounded as though he was plotting--but he honestly thought he was being kind. With another accidental menacing smile, he gave a curt bow and turned to walk to his room.

After a few steps, he turned to face them. "By the way, Andreas, I am roomed next to you in the Center. That is what my Haunter says, anyway." With that, he returned to the Center to eat whatever they had provided with him, and to feed his Pokemon the food he had made for them earlier in the day.

And that's about the time she walked away from me.
No one likes you when you're twenty-three.
Just because I don't wanna miss my TV shows
What the hell is ADD?

Blake watched the scene unfold before him and forced himself to remain silent, it wasn't like he was Yuriko's boyfriend or anything. Then he looked at his Spiritomb and shot him an agitated look that said: "Stop lying, you want her all to yourself, I'm not going to stop you, it'd be nice to hang around other Ghost Types for a change." "Yeah but what can I do, we are geographically isolated and I can't just ditch Azalea to come here, I'm a Gym Leader too you know and besides, I doubt she'd quit this place to be with me, maybe it's better I-" Blaked said but was cut off mid sentence by a Psychic smack from Spiritomb. The pokemon then growled out "So you're going to give up? If so then give up on Darkrai, you're not worthy enough to catch it if you give up over a girl, you either ask her out or I'll get involved and it will be hell on you!" Blake was shocked for a moment then realized how long his Spiritomb had been around, he knew the Pokemon had probably seen countless humans fawn all over each other and now Blake was fortunate enough that the Ghost/Dark Type cared enough about him to give him advice. "Thanks, but I won't, not quite yet, Yuriko are you going to be okay, you don't have to show me the Gym now if you're not feeling okay." Blake said, finally making his presence known after remaining quiet and whispering back and forth to his Spiritomb.

My friends tell me I should act my age.
What's my age again? What's my age again?

Seiko~Hitomi

Sometimes you have to kind of die inside...

It had become very noisy all of a sudden around the general vicinity of Seiko's room. On top of the chaos occurring within the very same room as her, there were loud voices and strange crackling sounds. It put her a little on edge, feeling as if they were being surrounded by strangers. Kanoro was eyeing the wall joining their room and the one next door with a curious look, ears swiveled in that direction. He wasn't saying anything though, so Seiko assumed there was nothing out there that should directly concern them. She was having a time of it keeping Kendi from throwing herself out the window, as several shadows had appeared outside over time. Several quite large shadows, accompanied by shouting from a few doors down. Cavalier had stationed himself in front of it in an attempt to discourage any more tries, but it wasn't working as well as they had hoped. Premala was trying to calm her, and Kanoro was standing back beside Plato to keep the fighting pokemon from lunging at the Cacturne. He was only glaring so far, and thankfully no violent physical attacks had been made. Calder was keeping well out of the way, watching morosely from the bunk above Seiko's.

It was the soft knock at the door that saved Seiko from anymore scratches or bruises from Kendi's flailing. All heads turned as one to the door, and Kendi immediately lost interest in whatever was outside the window as she practically threw herself towards the door. Surprised by the change in direction, Seiko almost toppled over when her grip on the Cacturne's arm went slack, only to be caught under the arm by Kanoro. He was barking at Kendi to get away from the door, and Cavalier had moved towards them as well. With some tight maneuvering on Seiko's part past all of her teammates, she was able to open the door widely enough to take the tray from the frazzled looking Chansey on the other side. It seemed the noise they were making definitely hadn't gone unheard at the front desk. Seiko could only smile apologetically, only to blink in shock when the tray was lifted fluidly from her hands. It seemed things inside had calmed somewhat, and Cavalier was standing over her with the food tray clamped gingerly in his pincers. He was easily the tallest in the room, and he was easily able to bear the food up above any sudden grabs for it from the others and into the room. Seiko quickly thanked the Chansey one last time before shutting the door, and turning to see if she could start passing out the meals.

Calder had managed to slip out from the rest from his advantageous spot on the high bunk, but it seemed that had been Cavlier's intention to begin with. Premala and Kendi were given their own shortly after. "You guys can eat on the beds, but I better not find any messes. We're sleeping on these tonight, and this room isn't ours, so lets keep it clean," Seiko admonished, returning to her seat and thankfully taking her plate from Kanoro when he passed it to her. Her plate was the only one not laden with pokemon food, and instead included a bowl of soup and a water bottle. Kanoro took a seat right next to her on the edge of the bed, across from where Premala was trying to get Kendi to slowly eat her food on the opposite bottom bunk. Calder was of course right above them, eating slowly as usual, and Cavalier was standing once more by the window with his own plate. Seiko noticed he kept shooting nonchalant glances through the darkened glass, but his expression was impossible to read. Plato had, surprisingly, come to sit on her other side and was focusing intently on his food. It seemed he wasn't enjoying it all that much, causing Kanoro to give him a smug look. "What's wrong, not sweet enough for you?" Plato turned to him with an icy glare before putting another piece in his mouth and chomping down on it violently. "It's friggin fantastic, thanks for asking," Plato seethed, grabbing a handful at once. Seeming to pick up on what the problem was, Seiko abruptly turned to dig in her bag for something before sliding a small box up behind her and leaning over to Plato. "Remember when I said we ran out of pokeblocks last week?" Plato gave her a curious look. "Mom sent a package at the last town. And all of them are the sweet kind. The Medicham's eyes almost bugged out. Seiko winked conspiratorially at him, a finger over her lips, and returned to her own food. Of course Kanoro had heard every word, but he wasn't a fan of the sugary stuff and therefore didn't care.

It took Yuriko only a moment to steady herself with the aid of Andrea's hand. But after her stuttering her facial expression changed from a frightened child to a concentrated adult. She pushed away into a kneel grabbing a specific pokeball from her side.
She thrust her arm forward in her kneel, eye focused on he trees...

"Sableye!" She demanded, the pokemon freeing itself from his ball and making a sharpened grin as he came out followed by a series of grunts.
"Flash. Now." She continued, hair falling over her left eye, but even as this happened it wasn't mistakable that her eye still glowed a bright violent, even through the raven locks.

The Pokemon grinning, leaped forward with its jewel-like eyes shining a brilliant aqua. The light tore through the trees, and the ghosts that were visible to Yuriko melted away until their time came to torment her another day.
It didn't seem to bother her at the present time. After all any time was better than in front of the people she had such a high reputation with.

Sableye turned to his master after the move was flawlessly carried out, grappling onto her and climbing up her leg where he proceeded to cling lovingly to his master's neck like a child.
Yuriko had stood with a blank expression away from Blake, Andreas, and the now departing Nikolai... It took her a few minutes to calm down before she changed back to her normal posture and smile.

"T-Terribly sorry about that, I thought I saw something s-scary in the woods..." She lied, tilting her head into a wider smile at the young men, while Sableye proceeded to nibble the end of Yuriko's longer side of hair.
All her pokemon had bad habits..
She gently stroked his head, receiving a affectionate grumble.

Sableye was the perfect companion for Yuriko during the night, and if she had been out in the dark alone (which wasn't usually) Sableye would ALWAYS be on her side... Yuriko had got so caught up with her guests that she hadn't the time to take him out that night.
Sableye are feared because they're are thought to steal the spirits of people when their eyes burn with a sinister glow in the darkness... but really Yuriko knew it helped a great deal in scaring off spirits too...

She looked towards the house she had moved into when she first came to Mahogany- the small one that stood by the entrance of the route that would lead to the various places trainers would venture too after her own town.
She turned back to the young men.

"My house is just over there." She paused, thinking of their thought on what just happened. She blushed slightly in embarrassment.
"Y-You can come in if you like, my grandmother sends me the most divine tea- its wonderful." Yuriko had always been known to be a kind hostess, and often renowned for her grandmother's excellent line of tea work.
"But, If you have to go back to your pokemon, I understand" she ended with a smile.

"Elizabeta, where is Tori? I have not seen her since I returned. Off making trouble, da?" The Froslass nodded in response to Nikolai, and the young man smiled, shaking his head. He spotted the Haunter suddenly--she was making a face at him before flying out of the room, through the closed door. "Tori! Elizabeta, I am terribly sorry, but you could keep an eye on them for a little longer while I catch her, da? Thank you," he said, and with that he rushed out the door.

"Tori, no! Come back here! Do not go into the rooms of strangers!" The Haunter stopped for a moment and looked at him apologetically, but she slowly backed up until she had gone almost completely through the wall and into someone's room. Nikolai's eyes became wide, and his smile faded. That didn't happen often, not without Natalia being the cause anyway.

The Haunter had in fact made its way into a room that was also full of Pokemon. They all stood on two legs, and looked to be fighters. Tori grinned wildly as Haunters do, and began to laugh as she faded in and out around the room. "Haunt haunt haunt, Haunter!" [ Look at all you Pokemon, eating your Pokeblocks! They look delicious! ] The Haunter took one from the Medicham, and laughed yet again.

The Pokemon's fun would soon be cut short, however. "Tori! Get out here now, da? Or I won't make you any Poffins!!!" At that, the Haunter rushed out of the room, licking the entirety of her owner's face with one fluid motion. Nikolai stared at Tori; he could smell the Pokeblock on her breath. The Pokemon backed down almost immediately due to Nikolai's accidental menacing stare and floated back into the room.

"I hope she did not scare anyone too badly," he said quietly, knocking on the door. "I am terribly sorry about Tori!" Nikolai said, hopefully loud enough for those inside to hear. "She simply does not know her limits, da?" His smile was back, though again it appeared as more of a smirk. He was hoping that the person in the room would answer the door and not be too afraid--he wanted to make it up to them and possibly make some Poffins for the person's Pokemon to make up for however many Pokeblocks Tori had taken.
