Originally, this thread was a subforum, whose sole purpose was to break down the fundamental elements of different classes of warriors so that roleplaying would become more fluid and understandable. However, in terms of RP fighting, only a handful of warrior types are actually active here in TS. That being said, rather than completely destroy the subforum, I've taken what I believe are the most relevant and necessary pieces of information from each type and put them in here. Should anyone actually care, you can always submit new information, but only if you actually intend to RP as a fighter.

Ki Fighters Fierce <>YOU HAVE IT TOO<>A big misconception among RPers is that if you don't use your ki, you apparently don't have any. Ki is another type of life force, such as mana, which can be found in other types of fictional stories and modern-day styles. Unlike differing legends of Gaian characters about which god created what, and how long ago that was, mana and ki - and other such forces - don't have any major impact on anyone's stories, and therefore they all can all exist without any hassle. If you're animated, you have a ki signature. Your ki is like your fingerprints, but just as it can be difficult to tell two similar fingerprints apart using the naked eye, it is difficult to decipher which ki belongs to whom, without any practice. Then Fierce Using ki gives the user numerous advantages over average fighters, and equal grounds against heavily armed and greatly skilled warriors. Deity will not go into detail on special techniques. A specific style of ki-use is up to you. The very basic abilities which can be found in mostly any ki style worth its salt will be listed.<>BUILDING KI<>Ki can be categorized almost as another muscle in a living being's body. Just like many other muscles, if used and exercised enough, it can grow larger. The human body can only become so large, and so strong. Once (or if) this physical limit is met, ki comes in. Ki, for one, has no actual limit ceiling. Many beings - such as most humans - find it is terribly difficult to become stronger once they've reached a certain point. Other beings, like demons and battle-friendly species, can build their ki much more easily, especially if they have a more durable form. Others seem to have bottomless wells of potential, and are constantly growing stronger. However, one must realize that strengthening ki is several times harder than strengthening one's physical body, which is tough enough on its own. One can't train for twelve hours and quadruple their strength.
Before one can train ki, they must learn ki control. Ki control is a way to say they have a fluid access to all of their ki. It takes hours and hours of intensive training and concentration to learn how to access one's ki energy. Once one gets the hang of it, it's very simple, but beginners may find it quite challenging. Perfect control takes many years of practice, and is well worth the effort. Once this level of ki control is reached, using ki becomes as simple as moving one's arm or blinking their eyes. They won't notice they're doing it.<>MEDITATION<>Obviously meditation isn't an original ki style method of training, but it is essential to a well-rounded and skilled warrior. Meditation for a ki-user can serve numerous methods of practice, the following being a few.
Reliving past battles is a great way to not only scout opponents for possible future rematches, but to find and overcome one's own flaws. Searching the memory of one's mind, aura and body allows one to play through a battle like a videotape countless times in a relatively short period of training.
If one has significant control over their ki - and one knows someone else who does as well - they can intertwine eachother's energies and have a training spar in a psychic-reality zone. While this can be relatively harmless, very skilled warriors can make the effects of such battles very real, and will appear exhausted or even wounded once it is over.
Similar to the method of meditation above, though solo. With a thorough knowledge of a certain fighter's style and movements and such, one can visualize and have a bout with this being, to possibly scout their opponent or see how well they would fair against them. As with the previous method, greatly skilled warriors can make this battle real to their mind and body, making it a most gratifying - if not very dangerous - way to practice.
Ki control is the most basic yet most important of all training exercises. It is mandatory to learn and understand if one desires great power in this sort of style. Without ki control, one can barely reach the peak of normal human boundaries, much less smash through them effortlessly. Exercising one's ki and allowing it to flow freely through their body is an important ability that can lead to victory in battle.<>FLIGHT<>An interesting yet common ability in a ki style is flight. It takes a great deal of concentration, and is impossible without decent control of the user's ki. Once mastered, the fighter can take flight at any time. They can do this even underwater, to make moving through it much easier. They don't need wings or lift to do this. At first it is difficult to move very quickly, but training this - and the ability to keep one's eyes open in direct wind - can gradually increase speed. Some fighters - like Deity, for example - use flight not only to float, but to swiftly increase and decrease velocity.<>STRENGTH AND SPEED<>A great factor in a ki-based fighting style is that it grants overwhelming physical power to the fighter. Overwhelming is not an understatement, either. With even four times the ki strength of a normal human being, one can lift up an automobile with little effort. Unlike most styles, as ki does not increase one's physical mass, it doesn't slow one down. As a matter of fact, it speeds the fighter up. If one's legs are stronger but not heavier, they can take them faster in any given direction. A combination of speed and power is very useful in battle.<>ENDURANCE<>No matter what one's race or species, a thorough knowledge of ki gives one's body a great deal of endurance. Someone with a high enough ki level can let enemies shoot firearms at them without worry, as their body can withstand it easily. Once one has reached a phenomenal power, even weapons as great as modern-day explosives won't affect them. This also means this protects against some of the techniques of other fighters. Even if your character has extreme strength, if his sword is just a normal blade it won't cut anything except the ki-user's clothing, and will probably break. For instance, what would you rather use to cut bread: a bread knife or a toothpick? You would have a much better shot at getting through that bread in one slice with the knife. The same goes in this situation; using even a very sharp sword to impale a powerful ki style fighter is like stabbing at a titanium wall with a butterknife if neither you nor your weapon have any special qualities. Another interesting trait with powerful ki strengths is the ability to resist poisons, gases, and other such hazards. The controlled ki flow seems to counteract the danger, and eliminate it. It takes a great amount of strength to do this, however.
Despite this great durability, ki-users can lower their defenses by simply powering down (suppressing their ki) and not using their energy. In this case, they may as well be normal fighters. More skilled ki style fighters can lower their defenses, but raise their strength, or vice versa. Also, there is a point at which the body cannot withstand a certain amount of ki. Imagine, if you can, that every voluntary muscle in your body suddenly increased its size four times. You'd be durable and strong, sure, but you certainly wouldn't be used to all that bulk. While one's body can never be too weak for one's own natural power, a sudden boost of energy can very easily overwhelm them. If one grows far too powerful in too short a time, their body can actually become too unstable, and the ki inside them will explode. Likewise, they would pop, too.<>KI SUPPRESSION<>Once one reaches a certain level of skill, they can also suppress their ki entirely, to mask their life force from enemies. This technique masks varying forms of life energy that show signs of animation. However, if it is an over-abundant energy - mana, or the Force for example, which exude from everything, unlike ki/chi which comes only from living things - then there would appear to just be a big gap where there should be energy. This technique would be less useful against these sorts of styles. Combining the technique with other forms of energy or style could prove very effective.
All this technique does is suppress the energy - it doesn't leave entirely, it just compacts. Perfecting this technique allows one to appear to erase it entirely, or even lower their power in a powered-up state. This is even more difficult. The important fact is that lowering ones' ki takes a decent amount of concentration and effort. With practice, it becomes very simple.<>KI DETECTION<>Most people tend to call this the sixth sense, though they don't know it. Though it cannot all be attributed to ki, part of the reason you sometimes grow uneasy or more aware when being watched is because you can subconsciously feel the life force of the beings around you, even if they are dead silent. Training one's ki makes this feeling much, much stronger, as will be explained further down. The stronger one becomes, the more easily one can sense ki signatures, and how well-defined one's power is.
For instance, at first, one can tell that their neighbours house is full of people, but they don't know who they are or how many of them there are. A ki expert can give you a rough estimate of how many people are in a city on the other side of Earth, and whether it has more males or females. Masters can do the same with faraway planets. One thing to take note is that it can be very difficult to separate one ki from another if they are very close to eachother. This is why amateurs can believe they're sensing a colossal monster with a strength of 3 million...when all it is is a nearby town. This can also lead to mistakes in judging the strength of energy attacks, which we'll get to later. Honing this skill after a very long time removes this disadvantage. Masters of this technique learn to trace other forms of energy as well, not limited to just ki.
Another powerful asset to detecting ki is that it allows ki masters to sense emotion as well. While the source of said emotions can only be truly analyzed via telepathy or other sorts of mind searching, a being's life energy gives away their primeval emotions. This includes malice. To attack successfully, one needs malice, no matter how kind-hearted or pure they may be. Sensing no malice in the soul of the fighter proves he or she will not attack, and tells the ki-user to prepare for some sort of trick. This can be very useful to avoid feint strikes.<>"TELEKINESIS"<>In all actuality, this is not telekinesis. Telekinesis is a psi (parapsychological) ability, and is sometimes referred to as psychokinesis. However, using ki to manipulate other objects is possible. One can either 'stretch' their own ki and use it to move inanimate objects, or even manipulate the ki flow of other living beings, to control their movements. Another variation of this move - which is utilized in even advanced special techniques - exhibits the ability to numb the nerves of the opponent, rendering them unable to move. While this is a powerful technique, it is much more easily done on a weaker opponent. Just as strong-minded people aren't susceptible to telekinesis or telepathy, strong ki style fighters are immune to having their honed ki toyed with.<>READING THOUGHTS<>This is another psychic ability with a counterpart made possible via ki knowledge. Amateurs need some sort of contact, while masters don't, but the result is the same in either case. Just as one can manipulate the force of energy around an opponent to control their movements and read their emotions, they can also read their past. This is a trickier technique to use, and even some skilled veterans cannot perform it. So far, there aren't many true ways to prevent someone from reading one's thoughts via ki energy, aside from suppressing one's ki, or resisting it if one is stronger.<>ALTERING METABOLISM<>This is rare, even in a style of purely ki-based techniques. This is the ability to alter one's own ki aura - or the ki aura of another - to accelerate or decelerate their metabolism, the latter being tougher and somewhat dangerous if toyed around with too much. The more extreme the range of usage, the greater a toll it takes on the user. The uses of this ability vary widely; anything from something as simple as recovering from a hangover quickly to healing a possible fatal wound of a friend or loved one. As mentioned, this is quite the rare ability, and isn't seen often without the use of magic or mental power. It's incredibly hard to learn. In fact, the few who can use it seem to be born with the ability, and need only discover it, which is part of the reason it's so uncommon.<>POTENTIAL ENERGY<>While this is something that comes naturally, and accidentally in nearly all cases, Potential Energy is the amount of latent power one has within oneself. Every living being has tons of different types of energy. The vast majority of them cannot harness it all at once. Even supposed 'masters' of their style can't get to it all, and most of the time training and practice aren't enough to do so.
Potential power is the power that one can't reach, but can naturally use in emergencies. Adrenaline takes over and they enter a single-track minded state when this power is released. It's a not a special form that can be controlled, it's a rush of intensity and strength. Keep in mind that potential energy is generally much stronger - all by itself - than as high as the energy within whom it resides can peak. Latent power can be found in many ways, but most of the time it is through a powerful surge of emotion. Growing emotionally frustrated will draw out this power, almost as a survival instinct. Normal humans have been known to lift automobiles in times of stress. To someone who can do that in their sleep, an emotional rush of Potential Energy gives them a freakish amount of power at their disposal.
This strength typically seems to vanish shortly after its use, but never empties. Some characters have vast amounts of potential energy, some of them up to two and a half times their normal strength. [Ex: If one's strength was 2, with a Potential Energy surge their strength would be 7. If it is 40,000, one's strength would be 140,000.] Some beings can draw out this power from fighters, either by mental or other means. Techniques like this are sometimes magical, but very hard to learn, and more than likely impossible to duplicate on sight. These types of people are very useful to those without the means to access any of their latent ki at all, in any situation. After that Fierce Note: As this sort of style is most commonly found in the Dragon Ball manga, from here on out, Deity'll make references that fans of the books/anime/movies can relate to. If you aren't a fan, no worries - there should be enough for you to understand well enough, too.
This is often misconstrued as an attack. Everyone has an aura, though the vast majority of them are invisible. If one's ki is strong enough, they will generate a visually detectable aura of overflowing energy around them, varyingly colored. Most humans and normal creatures have a white aura, the more impure of them having a blue tint. Simply because it overflows doesn't mean they have lost that energy. The aura only shows that their body isn't adequate to contain all of the energy at any one time without them breaking something. The ki around them is still theirs, and is circulating around and through their body like flame. If someone doesn't have a visual ki aura, it means they're very weak, or their body is incredibly powerful. [Ex: An example of a no-aura fighter from Dragon Ball was Mystic Son Gohan, who literally had no visible aura, but displayed unbelievable strength.]<>POWERING UP & SUSTAINING AURAS<>This is a term most commonly used when a character raises their hidden ki at will. This means their strength is steadily increasing, and possibly affecting the environment. Many things can happen when one powers up. Unless one reaches a certain point in strength, exactly nothing will happen tothe surrounding area. Later, their aura may manifest itself, showing their power is overflowing, though this only happens during the powering up for some fighters. Once one's reached a certain point in strength, the flamelike waves of energy released from their body during a power-up - after a moment or two - lose their luminosity like a kiai, and can act as such, though much weaker. This can also lessen the gravitational pull around the fighter, causing lighter objects to float upwards.
Just as one can lessen the gravity around them, freakishly powerful fighters can actually make their own gravitational pull many times greater when powering up. The ki around them becomes so dense with energy that their aura can draw even huge objects closer to it with its own force of gravity, making them orbit around it rapidly or slowly, depending on the strength. This is incredibly uncommon, however.
An interesting quality of fighters is that many of them naturally don't sustain their aura when not 'charging'. For instance, humans find this very hard to accomplish. Without a significant amount of power, holding an aura in place is a powerful effort of will. Otherwise, it appears naturally when they unleash their full power and battle. Once they stop for just a moment, however, the aura usually fades, even if the battle hasn't ended. This is in order to produce less strain on the body. Some beings can maintain an aura just by charging up to full strength, and it will not fade at all. They don't need to be in battle, but their body still pours out an intense amount of ki. [Ex: Super Saiya-jin do this with their golden auras, which remain no matter what they do; this rule doesn't apply if they've mastered the 'full power' Super Saiya-jin level, however.] In same cases, a fighter's aura can produce an electric current, which also can change color, depending on the individual; this will be explained more thoroughly in the next chapter.<>ATTACK-SPECIFIC<>This is a term used when a technique, special ability, or special attack generates its own aura, whether or not one's is typically visible. [Ex: Vegeta's Gyarikku-Ho or Final Flash from Dragon Ball both do this.] This can be displayed several times even through Club Orion by other ki fighters. A Kamehameha - performed by User and Taliman - creates a bright blue aura, while the Daio-Ken - a technique soon to be used by Deity - generates an emerald green aura. When characters change form or use certain techniques, their aura can change shape, size or color. This generally means a new type or amount of temporary energy, and doesn't change the color of their natural aura. One's natural aura color can never change, no matter what they do.<>AURA ATTACKS<>As said before, an aura isn't an attack. Every living thing has an aura, and no matter how strong they are, their aura is harmless. However, that's only because it's unused energy. Like the rest of one's unused energy, it can be used as a weapon if done correctly. With a superb knowledge of ki control, a fighter can change the shape, density, strength, quality and size of his/her aura with a special technique. [Ex: In Dragon Ball, Freezer performs this by creating a spherical aura to counter Son's Kamehameha beam. It acts like a battering ram, rather than harmless waves of ki.]
Techniques such as this can vary surprisingly widely, though a good portion of them result in some sort of explosion. For instance, a quick density and size change can result in a chain reaction that leads into a violent explosion. Or, basically, an aura bomb. It deals a great deal of damage with very little loss of energy. Other techniques can include a battering type of aura, an aura-shield to block/deflect attacks, a bubble-aura that explodes if it touches the opponent, or even a semi-transparent aura used soley to increase/decrease the gravity of the area.<>ATMOSPHERIC BARRIERS<>This is a unique technique in a ki style, in which its main purpose is environmental, not physical. It takes a great deal of strength to do so, but has surprising effects. [Note: This and many other abilities will have notes in the soon-to-come Power Chart to show the earliest level possible with which to use this technique effectively.] What this ability does is it traps and secludes whatever is inside of it, so it cannot escape. This can be used in many different ways, but it serves a few main purposes. First, it can preserve an air supply around the user in a harsh environment, finding an air pocket and enclosing it. [Ex: In Dragon Ball Movie #8, Brolly does this as a child to protect his father and himself as they drift through outer space. He has to transform into the Deity-dubbed 'Giji Legendary Super Saiya-jin' to do this.] Another purpose would be to keep toxic gases out of the breathing range of the fighter, or - if they had a significant amount of strength and ki control - keep certain types of energy waves away from them. Light, for instance.<>CHARGED ATTACKS<>This term, when used in the context of Auras, is describing an attack that is overly-charged, with an abundant amount of ki energy. Any martial artist with a thorough knowledge of ki can channel their energy into their limbs, which gives them such great strength, speed, and durability. However, just as it is possible to unleash an energy blast with twice one's full power (explained in next chapter) one can do the same by charging their fist with a vast amount of power.
This attack is indistinct form similar techniques of other styles of combat, and serves similar purposes. It is more or less used as a finishing maneuver, when there is little to no chance of failure. The effect this move can have on the body is that it may generate its own aura - as anyone can when powering up or when they've reached a certain strength. However, the aura sometimes centers only on whatever has been charged, causing that appendage to glow with the energy color of its wielder. This makes that single attack quite powerful, though it can be as simple as an open-palm strike or a punch. [Ex: Son Gokou performs a similar technique as his last maneuver against the Legendary Super Saiya-jin Brolly, in Dragon Ball Movie #8.]<>CREATING LIGHT<>If nothing else, one good thing achieved by a manifested ki aura is that it is quite bright. It manages to light up the darkest of areas, some individuals' auras being of particular use in that regard. However, some techniques are based soley on this fact. One technique in particular - the base of other techniques of the genre - generates a giant, blinding light, equivalent to that of a nearby star. It is called the Taiyo-Ken. The user typically concentrates the ki in their aura, causing no drain to their own energy or stamina. This process is subtle and undetectable by visual means. Then one simply expands the size and density of the auras power, causing it to grow several times its size and glow like never before. The effect is the enemy's eyes are bombarded by an enormous wall of light, blinding them for a few seconds. It is usable by even the weakest of ki-users, and can generally be learned just by seeing it done a few times. [Ex: In the Dragon Ball manga, Tenshinhan, Kulilin, Son Gokou and Cell all perform this move at least once, all with the intent on temporarily blinding their opponents in order to distract them/escape.]

]Ki Fighters part 2 Finally Fierce This is what some refer to as 'Dragon Ball Fighting'. It is when - after a fighter's ki has reached a certain level of strength - they can manifest their ki pysically and use its power as a weapon. These can vary simply from an amateur kiai, to a planet-destroying sphere. Note that weaker ki-users simply can't do this. Even if they can, the simplest technique to learn is a kiai. Anywho, Deity digresses. The first section of this chapter will discuss the basics of ki knowledge. The rest will tell of how one should judge the strength of their ki techniques, the simplest types of said techniques, and it'll go into detail about the manifestations of ki itself.<>BASIC KI KNOWLEDGE<>Ki energy attacks are manifested physically via concentration of mind, and usually come from the palms or feet. They can also be used out from the entire aura of a fighter, from their mouth, their eyes, or any extra limbs they may have - a tail, for instance. However, they all boil down and can be explained in a few simple sections. Deity'll do so as best as he knows how.
Once manifested, ki in actuality is a physical body. One can say that well-formed and -shaped attacks of ki energy are like a floating collection of highly volatile, glowing liquid. This is what raw ki is like; bright, explosive liquid. However, this is ki in its purest manifested form, after being generated by a knowledgable ki controller. There are near-infinite ways to utilize ki once it is physically generated, some more surprising than others.<>LENDING KI ENERGY<>Just as ki energy can be used for attack and for healing, it can be passed from one living creature to another. It takes a significant effort of will and ki control to perform and maintain, though experts can do so rather easily. The point is simply to give another fighter or otherwise animated being one's own ki energy, in order to temporarily give them more ki at their disposal. It isn't permanent, mind you; it is as though one has powered up immensely, and loses the gained strength gradually over time. Eventually it will burn out, and one will have their normal strength again. There are three main ways to perform this ability: physical contact, a free-flowing stream, and an energy sphere. They're listed in difficulty level, the first being the easiest. Physical contact is simple - two beings touch in one way or another, using the physical link to pass the energy. The free-flowing stream is similar, but requires a greater knowledge of ki control, in order to pass ki across some distance to the target. The last and hardest method is via energy sphere. It takes a significant deal of willpower to condense relatively harmless energy into a ball and send it into the target.
[Ex: Two of the three aforementioned methods are seen in the Dragon Ball manga, and another is shown in Movie #8. In volume 20, Son Gokou passes on the intense energy of his Genki Dama to Kulilin, who holds his broken arm to do so. Piccolo, Son Gohan, Trunks, and Vegeta all display the free-flowing technique in Movie #8, lending Son Gokou their ki energy so he can defeat the Legendary Super Saiya-jin Brolly. Two instances exhibit the sphere type. In volume 28, Son Gokou uses it to partially replenish the energy of the fallen Freezer, who stupidly uses it to attack. Through the technique used, every human on Earth does it by simply raising their hands to the sky, the energy forming into billions of tiny spheres and racing to the Genki Dama Son Gokou is building to defeat Chibi Majin Buu.]<>KIAI<>Though some only pay attention to the bright and flashy techniques done by the more powerful warriors, a wider range of fighters can use a weaker form of ki, that is less-concentrated and not as powerful. This is called a kiai. Though used by experts, novices can generally use it as a powerful 'thrust' of energy that is invisible to the naked eye. Performing this move usually is accompanied by a shout of some sort and a tension of the ki in the warrior's body as they force out a purely physical wave of energy at a target. It is a simple technique, but quite useful, especially in rapid-fire.
A sign of the move is a bright flashing of the eyes as ki surges through the fighter's body, along with a 'hiss' that flows from their person as they attack. Some real-life martial artists claim that they can use this technique, though it is so weak it would be unnoticable to your average Club Orion warrior. A powerful kiai can take out a whole building, while insanely powerful warriors can carve into the planet with one. A kiais greatest differation from your average ki attack is that it isn't visible; it is raw physical energy being hurled at the opponent. It comes in the form of an unfocused wave of indefinite size and shape, aiming to smash and crash into targets at high speed. As just mentioned, kiai can come in different sizes, though they cannot change shape, direction, or power once used. Just as with any other technique, a kiai can be altered to suit the needs of its user, or for a special technique.<>IT ISN'T HOT<>A common misconception about ki energy attacks is that they're white-hot in temperature. That's completely false. Ki energy is actually very cool; at most, it's room temperature. One couldn't cook an egg on a ki ball. If it were so hot, ki-users would constantly be sweating, and couldn't use their attacks in water for fear of boiling themselves to death. [Ex: A few battles from Dragon Ball took place underwater, and no such thing ever happened.] The reason ki is sometimes seen as scorching hot is because of the friction; the pressure they make upon contact with another object. If a fighter has enough ki to possibly stop a ball, but not immediately deflect it, he can use his hands or body to resist the force and divert its course. This means he can be pushing against it, using his own ki to keep its surface tension from breaking - this is explained just below. This all creates a lot of pressure, which results in heat. If two large enough energy attacks collide and push against eachother, they will generate high temperatures, but aren't very warm at all by themselves. Simply touching a ki ball won't harm someone, unless it explodes.<>SURFACE TENSION AND KI BALLS<>Think of a spherical transparent liquid shell with a surface tension a few times stronger than that of water, filled with raw ki energy. If the surface tension breaks, the ki inside reacts violently with an explosion of varying size, depending on the technique used. This is your average ki ball; an explosive water balloon. However, this doesn't mean that throwing a pencil tip-first at an incoming ki ball will make it detonate. Most ki attacks can't break upon contact with things too much smaller or weaker than they are. Their surfaces tend to puncture if met with too much pressure. If a ki energy attack flies too fast and/or too far, the pressure will cause the ball to stretch and flatten, and may cause it to detonate itself abruptly. Thus, even a very sharp object would just be smashed, and would not explode the attack.
The shell of a ki attack can be broken - more often upon contact with the intended target - but there are instances in which it won't. If not recieving or giving out enough pressure, even collision with another object or ki attack will just make it flatten and/or bounce in the opposite direction, like rolling two water balloons together on a smooth surface. If the creator of a ki ball grabs it, it tends not to explode; most ki attacks have very high surface tensions, but sometimes weaken after being fired/thrown. Some ki techniques increase the strength of a ki attacks surface tension, making it nigh unbreakable [Ex: Deity uses this with his Bouncer Ball, and the Legendary Super Saiya-jin Brolly used ki balls with powerful surface tensions on a regular basis.]. Another case is if the attack comes into contact with an object of equal force that uses a different energy source to not detonate, but deflect the attack. Unless an attack is stated to be extremely sensitive, and may explode upon any contact, a fighter can charge a limb with energy and swipe the attack away, with the proper amount of pressure used.
Some may've noticed that they've seen very small, fits-in-your-palm ki balls, and mammoth city-block-sized ki balls. The reason some ki attacks are so large is because they're more powerful, made larger to house more energy. As stated before, most ki attacks should be seen as shelled collections of liquid energy that explode when exposed. Likewise, if enough ki is used, the shell must be very large and powerful to encase all of the ki inside. Once the surface tension breaks, it'll explode even more violently than normal. Some special techniques are made to not only have much stronger surface tensions, but to be able to become far more dense, meaning they can carry a much more vast amount of ki than an attack of equal or even greater size. [Ex: Kame-sen'nin's Kamehameha, or Son Gokou's Genki-Dama.]<>KI BEAMS<>A beam and ball are two completely different types of attacks. There are many that vary even more wildly (ie; kienzan) but these are the basics. A ki ball is a pocket of contained ki energy that explodes once its outer shell is punctured or disturbed too greatly. A beam, on the other hand, tends to have a much greater surface tension, is somewhat more dense, and has a semi-solid column of energy trailing it, feeding it more energy. There is usually a larger, rounded ball of ki at the end of this trail, called the beam head. Just as a ball can be thought of as a ball of water, a beam can be seen as a jet stream of water. If two beams collide head-on, vast amounts of pressure are created between them. Due to the powerful surface tension, they usually do not explode and either the stronger beam will force back the weaker beam, or they'll both remain at a standstill.
Whenever a beam duel occurs (a term for when two beams collide with eachother) the center point at which they both make contact makes a bright light and usually an explosive airborne shockwave. They'll spark and such, but look relatively still if equally powerful. But they're not truly unmoving. All of that energy of the beam connecting the head of the attack to the fighter has to go somewhere. Losing strength after colliding with the opposing force, a beams ki loses its luminosity and spreads out in a radial pattern after contact. This spent energy creates a similar effect as the kiai or extremely dense auras, which is why stronger beam duels can cause earthquakes to occur, or rocks to crumble and lift into the sky.
A few different things occur upon connection of a non-beam duel ki beam attack, depending on who uses the technique, and how they use it. The two main types are either an explosion; enough pressure builds at impact to break the surface tension of the beam, creating a wild explosion that is fed briefly by more of the beams ki, though explosion-types usually aren't very powerful; or a true stream of ki energy; no explosion at contact, but simply a beam head that, upon breaking, unleashes a fast and furious flow of ki energy that burns through the target and may eventually explode if resistance pressure builds up too high.
[Ex: A few examples of the explosion type can be seen done by Freezer in volumes 22 and 26 of Dragon Ball, when he kills two Namekian children, Scargo and Dende. Android #18 also does it in volume 33. The Kamehameha is almost always a true stream type - at least when fully charged - though good examples can be found in volume 20, when Son Gokou wins a beam-duel against Vegeta; volume 35, where Son Gohan wins a beam-duel against Cell; and volume 26 again, when Freezer kills Vegeta with a beam that bores a hole through his heart.]<>KI BLASTS<>The third basic type of ki energy attack is a ki blast, though many use this term when they refer to ki balls or ki beams. It must be made clear that all these are very different. Unlike the other two, and most other types of ki attacks, blasts don't have surface tensions. They don't even have shells at all. They are pure and unfocused ki, blown outward in a hectic and explosive fashion in any way the user sees fit. A ki blast is arguably much more potentially powerful than either a ball or beam, but not particularly more effective, simply because of the haphazard way in which it's normally used. As stated, they have no form, no shell, no anything. They do not explode on contact, nor can they be dueled, deflected, or anything of the sort.
A blast tends to disintegrate whatever it touches with intense heat from pressure on contact, tougher objects taking longer to do away with. As with any attack, with the proper amount of opposing force, another fighter can resist this attack - possibly without harm. However, blasts can explode if enough pressure builds. If a target withstands the force of a blast and is actually opposing it with their own ki - to prevent damage - then the tension will peak and release itself in a violent explosion. [Ex: Examples of ki blasts can be found in volume 23, when Vegeta kills Zarbon, and in volume 25, when he kills Jheese.... Crap...looks like there was a post splicing error...

Mages/Mana Epithany Introduction
Truthfully to designate it as true battle ability is not to truely understand what it is. Mana is in turn is the classification of the amount of energy an object exudes by just existing. Thus every and all things exude mana. In that idea mana is never ceasing, as energy can neither be created nor destroyed. In truth physical decay is the result of the lack of or too much mana in a given substance. Too much or too little energy, the bonds of matter break as to allow for the creation of something new.
With this known, Mana is generally the same principle of Chi, Ki, Chakra or any other synonym one can think of. The main difference is that a mana or magic user focuses on strengthening their mental energies to interact with their environments. Chi is generally recognizing the natural flow of energy and moving with the environment. Ki is generally more attuning ones mind and body to exceed its natural limits. Chakra is molding the energies of one's body and mind, to interact with environment. Thus they all have bridges to one another since they are different ways to focus the same thing. This stated, the discussion will now shift to the idea of mana as that is the original concept in question.
Spell Casting
A magic user is an individual who has put long periods of study into bending the flow of mana to their will, with their mind. Magic is generally cast by altering the flow of mana in order to get a desired result. In order to keep the natural state of the world around them from decaying a good magic user must balance the flow of mana bending. This is why most spells are cast by way of enchantation, mediation, symbolic representation and or Artifact channeling. Drawing forth too much mana without balancing the flow will result in the destruction of the magic user or more importantly the environment.
To better understand the act of spell casting, one must first speak on the different techniques on which the spell is enacted.
Enchantation: This coupled with mediation is perhaps the most common form of spell casting. Since one is trying to balance the flow of mana with every spell they cast, a formula must be called upon to do this. To better get the formula right a spell caster will recite it out loud to prevent mistakes in their calculations. Generally the more powerful the spell, the more complex the forumula. To prevent others who do not have the proper training from causing damage, these words are generall spoken in a language known to other mages.
Mediation: Though spells can be cast by this method alone, this method is also a short cut when a certain effect is desired. Since a magic user may want a specific effect to be enacted out, they must first find a object that naturally has that desired effect and then utilize that property without specifically knowing the formula. For example if a mage wishs for the ability to fly, gathering a feather eliminates the need to know what formula is needed to represent the natural forces of flight. These objects are generally called spell components.
Symbolic repersentation: Symbolic representation is the same idea as enchantion except for the fact the magic user, phyiscally draws out a symbol rather than saying the words of the formula. Though this can many times be more time consuming and difficult than enchantation, spells can still be cast in areas where sound cannot be produced using this means. In order to prevent these symbols from getting into the wrong hands magic users generally destroy them immediately after use.
Artifact channeling: Not to be confused with mediation, these are objects that have been imbued with spells and thus can either aid in spell casting or have spells cast off them themselves. Such objects allow the user to wield powerful magic without having to know anything about magic at all. Many magic users wield these tools to protect themselves against surprise attacks. It is not uncommon for non magic users to wield these artifacts as well.
There are other ways to interact with the flow of mana, but these are generally the most common. Despite this, there are times when a magic user becomes so skilled with the use of a spell that they no longer need to channel it through another means. These spells generally need a great deal of preperation time, long before they will be needed.
I With the above said, I'm assuming spells work along the same premise of ki techniques in the sense that there is no concrete list, but rather a list of basics that most everyone knows, a list of more advanced spells that can be learned through training or books, and finally the ability to develop one's personal set of spells so long as the spell is held under the general rules of mana.
In other words, a person might be able to learn to fly through mediation of a feather, but a feather obviously can't create an underwater breathing spell correct? And then Pith Its true there is no concrete list as a magic user. Spells are generally selected by preference usually leading to a specialization. Even a magic user who has chosen not to focus on any one school magic will probably lean more towards a type.
Spells are learned through repetition and thus it only makes sense that one would choose similar spells to focus on as it cuts down on things to remember. The easiest ways to learn spell formulas is by way of books or by way of analyzing formulas to find out what each segement of the spell does. New spells are created by combining segements from one spell type into another.
With the question of using a object as a medium to cast through, its possible to derive other attributes from the feather. For example the feather feather funnels air past it as the bird flaps its wings. Thus that air funneling capability could be duplicated and in turn used to gather oxygen from the water. This would require knowing the right formula segments to unlock that ability. Thus its possible to use a feather for a water breathing spell, but it would be ridiculous finding the right calculations rather than using something like a fishes gill which is more specialized. One thing to note, there must always be the right conditons for a spell to activate. You can't cause a fire with out the right elements to fuel it. Pith Also One thing that it seems that Torment has noted that I seem to have not elaborated enough about is the classification of what a mediating object can be. In the case of Tacticus, the medium in which he draw his magical power is from the god he worships. Just like the feather we have spoken of earlier, he gains his spells via the god thus eliminating much of the knowledge another individual not affiliated with the god would need to cast a similar spell. Thus in relation to the god his spells will focus on those properties his god allows him to use.
Just as I have stated earlier, there are different schools in which a magic user draws their power. One school in which he speaks of is the school of necromancy. Many of is spells are drawn forth from tearing the mana from an intended target. Depending on one's school of magic is what decides which principles they will work with. Difficulty of spells in turn is a relative idea, because what may be difficult to one person is a cakewalk to another.

Jedi and the Force Screaming Wookie 01. The Force For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship. - Jedi Grand Master Yoda
The Force is a spiritual and binding, universal power that ties the universe together. It is the power and backbone of the Jedi and Sith monastic orders, as well. The Force is an energy field created by the life of the universe. The Force is life and life is the Force. It is created through life and flows through all beings and places and things. This grand power touches everything. It is an energy that embraces us all and through embracing it, we can do wonderful things with its power. By enfolding into the Force, we can touch all of the life in the universe.
While the Force may flow through all, not all can use the Force for their bidding. Only those directly in tune with this power of life can use. These people, known as "Force-sensitive", can come to learn to manipulate and use the Force.
To some, the Force is seen as having its own "will", its own conscience. This means that the Force has a sort of destiny for the universe. Despite this destiny, there will always be free will. One can embrace their destiny, or defy it.
The Force is life. It is the universe. Through life, the Force is sustained. It is alive because the life of the universe gives it its power. The Force is the universe and the universe is the Force.02. The Light Side The Orthodox Jedi Philosophy A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense. Never for attack. - Yoda
The Light Side of the Force is one of two aspects cocerned with the moral compass of the Force in its various manifestations. The light side was the facet of the Force's power aligned with good, benevolence, and healing. It is the strength of the Jedi Order.
However, the path of the light side is a hard path. A light side user must be truely ready to handle its power and now that it will not always be easy to find the light in the darkness. To the Jedi, it is said that light side has more power that the dark side but to obtain its greatest power, one must struggle and work for it even with the dark side looming, tempting with its easier path.
The path along the Light Side of the Force is a difficult one to follow, but a stronger and greater ally.04. The Dark Side The Sith Philosophy The dark side of the Force is the pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. - Darth Sidious
The Dark Side of the Force is the second aspect of the moral compass of the Force. The dark side is always associated with fear, uncertainty, doubt, anger, deception, and treachery. It is also the foundation of the Sith Order.
Unlike the path of the Light Side of the Force, the Dark Side of the Force is a much easier path to follow along. The negative emotions of the dark side increased the strength and abilities of a user, and as a result use of the Dark Side of the Force was extremely addictive. Every time a follower of the dark side called on its power they became more and more attached to the corruption it brought.
The path of the dark side was both mentally and physically corruptive: just as use of the dark side of the Force lead to further use over time, the raw power caused the body of a dark side adept to waste away. A well-known characteristic of a dark side user is that his/her irises will become a sickly fiery yellow. And sometimes, it will mottle and disfigure the flesh into a corpse-gray color.
Thus, while the Dark Side of the Force allowed for more power faster, in the end, it only wrought death and destruction of its users.11. "May the Force be with you..."
The Force will be with you, always - Obi-Wan 'Ben' Kenobi
"May the Force be with you" was a phrase often used by Jedi. The phrase implied the speaker's wish that the power of the Force would be working alongside the addressee, in order that the addressee's goals would be more effectively accomplished. It was also used as a formal 'goodbye' among Jedi, and members of the Jedi High Council often recited it after assigning missions to their Jedi Knights.
Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi was known to have used a variation of this phrase, telling Luke Skywalker, "The Force will be with you, always" onboard the Death Star.
Some might believe that, as the Force exists between all living things in any case, the phrase reflects a misunderstanding of its nature. In fact, the phrase implies a wish that the power of the Force is working alongside you, in order that your goals are more effectively accomplished. Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi always used a different form that expressed a reminder rather than a wish: "The Force will be with you, always," stating that his apprentice would succeed, as he was working alongside the power of the Force.
This phrase is also used by some to mean something like "Good luck", although usually only Jedi and other believers in the Force use the expression. Han Solo, who expresses his doubt about the Force in Star Wars: A New Hope, eventually uses this expression to wish Luke good luck.
It is said that George Lucas used the Christian phrase "May the Lord be with you and with your spirit," as the model for for the phrase.

Kitsune After Much Deliberation I The Kitsune is born, but it's body and soul are detachable. Thus a kitsune is in a sense immortal as it can exchange an old, dying body, for a younger, mor powerful one. Along with this transfer, the kitsune brings the power it has accumulated through out it's life with it, making the new body just as functional as the old one in terms of abilities.
In battle, their advantage is to be able to stirke quickly and effectively to compensate for their lack of strength. This plays a significant role against the internal systems of an opponent's body, such as nerves and organs which may either be manipulated or caused to pause functioning. It is also suggested that they possess decent stamina, but lack great defense, making them vulnerable to powerful attacks, yet nonetheless resilient.
The most beneficial training methods for them include anything that will build their tolerance against the climate extremities and the elements. This is likely to make up for what they lack in physical defense, being able to make up for it by being more durable against other damaging effects in battle. However, they are naturally clever creatures, and can only become effective strategists by training their minds with psychic games and other methods of mental and strategic training. This will result in an increased ability to analyze a situation and perform the best move available.
They are not adaptable so much as they are quick learners. The pro here is that given a few moments, they can learn the internal and external uses of any given object, which they can immediately apply to more abstract puzzles or circumstances. This makes up for the inability to adapt rather quickly in one sense, but without the necessary time to understand their environment, tools, or situation, they must rely only on what they previously understood and rely on their own personal devices.

Werewolves/Lycans Pro *~Welcome to Lycanthropy 101~* Lycanthropy: A condition in which people change into animals, which many cultures around the world believe in. This belief dates back into antiquity, and usually the most dangerous animal in the area-tigers in southern Asia and Japan, the hyena or leopard in Africa, the cat in England, and the bear and wolf in Europe and northern Asia-is connected with it.
Now, I'm aware that most of you already knew something of what I just said up there, but I did want it to be abundantly clear that lycanthopy, or therianthropy when including other animals, is not soley limited to wolves.
Now then. Onto the real meat of this lesson.
~*~
Instead of utilizing energy attacks or spells like some of the other races or classes, most lycanthropes focus their abilities into enhancing their strength, speed, endurance, and senses through the transformation from human to beast.
The transformation is usually painful at first, but the more times a lycan does it the less and less it hurts. The transformation itself is something that we should all be a little familiar with. Ya know, fur starts to cover your body, your skeletal structure changes, and you develop a very bad attitude.
Now onto the finer points of the transformation. As mentioned before, a lycanthrope primarily uses the power of his own supernatural body and abilities over spells and ki attacks based on energy. This may seem like a very bad disadvantage at first, but the thing to remember is that each of a werewolf's traits become unbelievably enhanced through the transformation. Well, go over each ability step by step.
-Strengh: This is the backbone of all of a werewolf's attacks. Strength dictates how heavy a load he can carry at one time and how hard he can throw a punch or how deep he can dig his claws into something. At first glance that doesn't seem like a big deal, especially when you look at what kind of oppenents your'e facing. But, a werewolf's strength is used for much more than simple punches. Many of a werewolf's techniques in battle are derived from strength, and many of them are ranged. It can be as simple as picking up and throwing a three ton boulder at an eneny, or as powerful as generating a devastating seismic shockwave by slamming a foot or fist into the earth at your feet. With practice, you can even manipulate the earth with your fists alone. Say someone throws an energy wave at you. Well instead of running for cover, just slam your fists into the earth and raise a wall of stone to take the attack for you. It saves time and also allows you more of it to come up with a counter-attack.
-Speed: This trait is just as important as strength to werewolves. Speed dictates how fast you're able to avoid attacks and how fast you can attack an oppenent. Normally, an experienced werewolf can tap into his body's power and easily move at speeds of 60 mph or higher if he's an elder. But what makes this so impressive is the rate of acceleration. Picture 0 to 60 in an instant. But speed isn't simply for moving around to dodge an oppenent. A lot of attacks can be derived from speed and don't necessarly have to do with moving the legs. One favorite attack of most were's is to get in close to an oppenent and slash him to pieces so quickly he won't know what's happening until its too late.
-Endurance: Endurance is a werewolf's ability to withstand damage and to keep his body's power at peak performance. This is mainly possible because of the werewolf's innate ability to regenerate cells and tissues at an accelerated rate. However, this doesn't mean that you can regrow new limbs or heal so quickly it was like you were never hit. What it does mean is that you will be able to withstand a lot more damage than a normal person before your body finally gives out. Silver is the only way around this, and is toxic to werewolves and other forms of therianthropy.
-Senses/Natural Weapons: The final aspect of the transformation is that each of your senses, especially hearing and smell, will increase to phenominal levels. This is especially important when trying to see through your oppenent's tactics and following his/her movements. One thing to remember is that your oppenent always has a unique smell that no clone or illusion could ever replicate completely, and all you have to do is get to the one that smells like the original. One other thing to remember is that a werewolf grows claws and teeth, and both are very sharp. "Yes, I know. Thats obvious, but why are you going over this, teacher?" Well, I'll tell you. Even though you know you have them, I've seen a lot of fellow were's never use them. You have teeth for a reason. When your hands are tied, lunge forward and bite! When your oppenent has armor from your punches, try to pierce it with your claws.
That about covers it.
If anyone has any other questions, post them here and I'll do my best to answer them for you.

Touched Phoenix Soul Torment A "Touched" Phoenixsoul must be broken down into several parts as far as knowing what one is. Firstly, we have the concept of one being "Touched." This has several implications, but generally means that a subject has been touched by the influence of a god. In Torment's case it was through conception. In the case of another character of mine it was through an Avatar being recreated and instilled into the form of a Chosen humanoid. This humanoid gained several attributes from a god basically reaching out and touching his soul. The exact abilities granted differ from deity to deity, god to god, usually imparting a basis of their own portfolio within the subject. An example here is Torment's suppresable immunity to temporal based effects and time magic which he cannot access. He is the son of Aetas, God of Time. Tacitus, aka Jordan Daize, on the other hand, gained many of the abilities the Avatar Tacitus had in his previous incarnation, such as very limited time based magic and a limited precognition, coming from Aetas, God of Time as a chosen Avatar. Other effects can include the implanting of angelic or demonic traits, holy, unholy, chaos based, and law based magic, as well as other portfolio specific abilities and simple basic strengths. Such basic strengths would be relatable to Heracles with superhuman strength, but for a single aspect of the many physical and mental attributes. ~~~~~ A Phoenixsoul is a being that has a true phoenix, or a piece of a phoenix's soul bound within their own. This can be done in several ways. Being a reincarnation of a phoenix that no longer wished to takle the form of a bird, or having the trait implanted within one's self by a higher being. Torment gained this template by swearing his life to the divine spark within his mother. After her long wait to rejoin with Tacitus she had attained an affinity for nature, becoming a deity of lesser power with ties to nature's bipolar attitudes. Wrath and peace. She carries with her forever a small phoenix egg, Torment's next incarnation. She placed the seeds of his next form within him so he could watch over her in his next life. A Phoenixsoul gains several abilities. The soul of the subject literally burns with an eternal flame that can be stoked by several events, and must be drawn forth before it can be experienced for the first time, unlocked, if you will. Passion, anger, anything of the like in any extreme can bring forth the everlasting flame. In Torment this manifests as an extreme resistance to flame, a slight spell resistance, and most notably, in combination with the Soul Forge, The Inferno Within. The Inferno Within was the predesessor of the Soul Forge, and was honed into the Soul Forge once Torment's Brother of Soul was joined with him. The Inferno Within grants him wings of flame as well as a certain control over his very soul. Other manifestations of such ability relate to physical attributes related to a bird, ability to become a phoenix for short times, affinity for fire magic, healing properties, and even an ability to ressurect one's self. Torment uses the most basic forms of perception. There is nothing more powerful than perception, once you think about it. Entire cities have gone missing because people simply forgot they were there, they stopped existing because they were no longer perceived. It is true that he deals with mana, but does it in such a way that the mana itself is only the means to another means to an end, a stopgap to fill in what his willpower cannot yet acheive, the complete alteration of perception itself. The mana he utilizes comes from any number of sources, needed no particular one to attain his goals, he can even call upon Aetas, his father, if he has to. I cannot say he is totally excluded from the Mana thread because he does still employ it, simply that his usages of it and the ways he manipulates himself beyond it create a unique experience. Combining basic psionics with the studies of a sorcerer and the abilities he is granted through the use of the Soul Forge, Torment alters reality to conform to his perceptions. If he perceives a fireball, then so it shall be. Mana merely acts as a sort of catalyst to the reaction, otherwise it would take much more time and effort to force these effects into being. As a psion might force their will upon the world and use mental fortitude to produce effects, Torment does this as well, but on the most basic of level, barely above that of a human. This limits him in several ways. If he cannot perceive something happening, he cannot bring it about. This means that in most instances, creating new spells or casting ones he never has before is difficult, the same being true in those he has not cast in quite some time. During the night when he would otherwise be sleeping he generally runs through the basics of his spell list and refreshes them in his mind, but does not use mana to catalyze the reaction. During the course of each day he can only channel so much mana, but this is allieviated in several ways, as noted below. The fact that he does not actually utilize the mana itself means that even in low magic zones his magic has an overwhelming effect, but not the full effect. He can surpass many spellcasters of his type in the sheer speed and power of his spells due to the fact that when he adds soul based energies to the spell, it further catalyzes the reaction, literally pouring himself into it to force his perceptions upon the world that much more. It boils down to this. Quote: You made a post in the Mana thread and I would like you to elaborate on the grounds that Torment is in all ways a complete unique individual in this thread. He combines the use of his willpower as a psion (psychic), which is too limited to utilize for any real purpose, and mixes it with mana and his very life force to alter reality based on his perceptions. Quote: He, from what I interpret, uses a different source of mana than Epithany. Yes and no. While he does do it differently, he can use just about any mana source, setting him apart from most spellcasters which have to focus on a single type. Quote: So exactly how is this utilized? As mentioned, he forces his perceptions upon reality by basic psychic abilities that, while above average for a human, can't do anything, not even bend a spoon. Quote: What is the source of his power? His power comes from his mind and his soul, using whatever type of mana is around in any amount to catalyze the reaction. Quote: What limits does/doesn't this pose on him? While he can cast more spells fasterwith more strength, he has difficulty with spells he does not know, does not use often, and when his mind is jumbled to any degree.

Demons (Based from Chrono Crusade) Shadow_Shifter_Sky Basics of demons"Demon" or "Devil", as they are sometimes called is a mythical being that does not fit into any non/magical society and was spawned of evil origin, that is not to say that a demon is corrupt with power and will ruthlessly attack weaker beings as some do attain rationality. There are many markings and classification for idedentifying a demonic being: All demons have horns and wings (not resembling those of birds). Many demons have claws and/or nails, as well as fangs and tails; however some demons appear perfectly human. Yenek Vakgahna Astral Line The astral line is a current in the air that is the source of all life. Demons have the ability to use this energy to other means (making them use more potent doses); this is the source of all demonic power. Shadow_Shifter_Sky HornsThe horn is the conductor of all astral energy. No demon can survive alone without their horns. The horns generally appear in the true demonic form. Horns are also used as a way of sorting demons into classes. Yenek Vakgahna Contracts When a demon loses his/her horns it is said that alone, they would die within hours. They have two choices, either take a human form (and be hunted by the one who took their horns in the first place) or, make a contract with a Human. A contract is an agreement to share one life, as a demon uses more of it's power, it is taken from the human's astral energy there in by shortening the humans life. If the demon takes a human form during a contract (at the human's consent) , the demon and human can live about fifty years or so; every time a demon takes it's true form about fifteen years are wasted. Shadow_Shifter_Sky Energy Conserving FormsIf a demon loses his/her horns it should take a human form, though most demons (usually sinners) take this form for leisure, deceiption, and stealth. A human form normally looks similar to it's true forn, though it's horns and wings dissapear, yet their ears are slightly longer than that of a human. Even through a contract, this form can be broken through extreme emotion or desperation. The younger the human form, the less enegy consumed. Yenek Vakgahna PandemoniumPandemonium is, in retrospect, the law of demons. Pandemonium is almost always refered to as "Mother", as other demons refer to each other as "Brother" or "Sister", pandemonium is a demon herself, more rather the "Mother" of all demons. Pandemonium was apointed by the "God" to create dark creatures to scare people into beleiving there is an "Adversary" to "God". Pandemonium created the original Spawned Demons, those "High Rankers" spawned smaller and less rational minions. Shadow_Shifter_Sky Sinners Sinners are demons that defy the law of Pandemonium, and seek to do harm to the Demonic Community. Though not nessisary "Evil" (on Demonic Standards), simply sharing different views on how the Demon Community should run. Sinners have no remorse on killing "bretheran". To Pandimonium, these Sinners should, must and will be punsihed. Yenek Vakgahna Persuers Persuers are, oddly, the peacekeepers of Demons. They hunt down and capture Sinners and bring them to Pandemonium's Judgement. They are about the same rank as Sinners in power. Shadow_Shifter_Sky ArchfiendsArchfiends are demons who have been liberated from the control of Pandemonium. As a demon posseses Pandemonium's head thier horns become irremoveable and turn white, showing the now infinite supply of Astral energy, wings are also transformed, taking the shape of a giant raven's wings. However these demons are incapable of retrning to the home of demons, Chaos. Yenek Vakgahna Demon PhysiologyDemons almost always have some form of supernatural ability. Most demons have much more magical and/or physical power over that of humans. Though these creatures have much advantagegous abilities, such as to say a weaker demon could be stronger than.....say Arnold Swergeneger yet almost four times as slender. Most demons do not learn abilities as they grow, more rather are born (or spawned) with all of the abilities they will have, just grow more potent along the way. Demons have a fast healing rate, for those wounds that are not caused by holy forces. Shadow_Shifter_Sky Demon Sociology Pandemonium is the highest ranking of Demons. Persuers are favored by Pandemonium and are next in line. Following Persuers would be the average Demon; a demon attaining rationality yet still taking orders from Pandemonium. Sinners are farther down this chain, and looked down upon by Pandemonium, Persuers, Demons and Humans alike. The only demonic creature below the sinners are the minions summoned by any Demon, other than Pandemonium herself. The sociological class of Demons have nothing to do with their strength. Shadow_Shifter_Sky Demon AbilitiesShadow_Demon_Sky PhysicalHornsHorns are the essence of the demon's power, so Say a Fire Demon removed their horns to use as a weapon, the horns would inflict the mose severe burn the demon could perorm. The horns can be removed and reattatched to the demon's liking, any other creature can use a demons horns, though stability is a factor.WingsThe demon's wings vary though each demon. Some have very sensitive wings, others are torn from battle. Some demons' wings are used solely for flight, others as a weapon, depending more on magic for their ability to fly.WeaponrySome demons have the ability to learn proficiency with weapons. The Shadow Demon Blade, is mentaly incapable or learning swordsmanship, whilst Sky and Yenek are highly skilled in the art. More demons than most use their claws or bodily wepons (such as deformed gun or such attatched to their body). Generally, more skilled Demons are built slighty smaller.TailsTails can be a reserve for Astral Energy, after the horns are removed, they can last no longer than a year on it's tail, maybe two if it lives on it's Energy Conservation Form. Tails can also be used as a weapon, some demons have pointed, magical propertied or even metal tails.MeleeEven smaller built demons, have emmense strength by human standards. The smallest of Demons can easily erradicate....say....Arnold Swerchenegger. Though, that isn't to say that larger demons are stronger than smaller demons; it all depends on the horns. Generally, demons don't follow the desciplenes of martial arts, though alot of their attacks are swift and flashy. Yenek Vakgahna Astral EnergyHornsThe Horns convert astral energy into tangible forces, such as manipulating any and all things around them. All demons are capable of using Ki, some can't learn to procces and harness Ki energy to to irratonality. Although, others (much more intelligent ones) can use Magic/Mana attacks. All demons WILL aphold some form of Astral property, although those that can use Ki or Mana will forget how to harness Astral energy for anything more than living. More often than most, Demons will use Demonic Energy: pure Astral energy converted by Pandemonium.Classes of DemonWith every class of demon, comes a special class of energy and/or magic(mana); controlle by their horns, gifted by Pandemonium. A demon of a lower class can become more powerfull than Pandimonium herself, though is unlikley if said demon is not of rationality or capable of complex thought.
