σ υ т ε я ooι η ∂ α η αI n a small school in Northern Indiana where nothing was already normal... things more extraordinary are unwinding into the adventure of a life time.
The school is small, perhaps 120 middle schoolers. However becasue it is a Montessori middle school it seems smaller still. The school only has 2 class rooms, each about the size of a caffeteria. The school has recess options for all middle schoolers, this comes as a shock for those whom transfer into the school.
The back of the building- if you dare call it a school- is set on a hill running down into a shallow creek, slightly behind the creek it a small circle of trees, set in the middle of a cleared area. Girls and boys alike are often found inside the circle curiously looking about. Only because they've heard the news about students diappearing and then walking back into the classrooms slightly drowzy with whatever had happened.

Your Montessori Plane All children have inherent inner directives from nature that guide their true normal development. Freedom for self-directed learning. The Montessori method respects individual liberty of children to choose their own activities. This freedom allows children to follow their inner guidance for self-directed learning. Planes of development. The natural development of children proceeds through several distinct planes of development, each one having its own unique conditions and sensitive periods for acquiring basic faculties in the developmental process. The third plane (12–16) of Montesssori is the period of adolescent growth, involving the significant biological changes of puberty, moving towards learning a valuation of the human personality, especially as related to experiences in the surrounding community.

Drew Pools of sorrow waves of joy are drifting thorough my open mind. I sighed and walked through the doors to the new school. It was small and nearly empty. The rooms were so large I felt even more microscpoic than usaual. Immediatly it was lcear where people stood. I seemed to be stuck in the middle of a group already familiar with one another. I was doomed for all I knew. "Excuse me?" I asked quietly to a girl who looked about 8th grade. "Do you mind if I sit?" She shook her hand and pulled the chair out. I plopped down and sighed. Hoping for some sort of miracle to happen.

Trina Words are flying out like endless rain into a paper cup They slither while they pass They slip away across the universe
I absolutly loved the school. It was petite and yet it had so much potential. Everyone looked clueless and scrammbled around the huge rooms. It seemed we were currently in a lunch or dining hall. The walls were bare other than a few hand crafted (obviously) tapastries. I ran a hand through my black hair and put a coat of gloss over my plump lips. "I'm Trina." I started to say to a young girl sitting next to me. Seventh grader? She had red curls and light freckles on her face. She seemed to beam, wiether to me or not I was unsure. "Drew. Nice to meet you!"
"Uhm hum." I said after she introduced herself and put her hands back lightly at her side.

Emily I was so over joyed when a girl came and saat next to me. Right away I recanized her. I had a class list with the pictures of each person memorized just for this. "So nice to meet you too! I'm Emily Ellis! I've been waiting to meet you so much! I can tell that where going to be great friends no doubt!" I could sense Drew's feelings and I could see that she needed a good friend. I wasn't going to let her down not like the last time! I saw another girl sit next to Drew and I new that it was Trina. "Hi! It's nice to meet you! I'm Emily Ellis!" I said to the girl smiling softly. EmaI hated this place. I hated everyone in it. I watched them all laugh and giggle like nothing was wrong. But everything was! I shouldn't be here! I hated my parents for sending me here saying it will help my personality! Ugh! What did they know anyway!? They where also so happy! They could see anything wrong! But I could...I could see between the words that people said the really messages that were there. I clutched my book to my chest as I walked trough the crowds trying to find my class room. My books were the only thing that I could really relate too something that I could unstand a lot. I gritted my teeth as I remembered when my parents put me in therapy and they took away my books saying that they were sending the wrong messages to me. Like hell they did! I realized I was the only one where a black dress while everyone else where skirts or shorts and small shirts or baggy ones. I made a disgusted sound as I entered my class room. Already I could pick out the people I hated...and was sure that they hated me. I headed towards my seat as I thought about how I would torched my parents for this later...

Drew Pools of sorrow waves of joy are drifting thorough my open mind. I smiled at both of the other girls. I wasn;t even slightly jostled when a bell rang out, letting us no to quiet down.. "Guys, quiet down." Ms. Eileen said from across the huge class room. "What grade are you in?" I asked lightly, hoping someone would be my age and in most of my extra classes, like art, music or dance. "I'm in seventh."

Jake Jake was sitting a row behind Drew Emily and Trina. He blushed slightly when he realized class had started so he couldn't move and he was in the middle of a group of girls. you'll make friends easily, you always do he told himself. He couldn't help but overhear Drew ask what grade they were in. He figured it wouldnt be too inappropriate for him to speak because the question wasn't too specifically aimed at the girls, and it didnt seem like it mattered all that much who answered. "...I'm in 8th" he leaned forward and said.

Yuna
Yuna ran into the classroom. She blushed as everyone looked at her. " I'm so sorry Mrs. Eileen. I promise not to be late again. " Yuna sat down and looked down at her lap. She was so disappointed in herself for being late.
((Fixed it. Srry didn't know.))

just a note about montessori... -I go to one- they don't use desks... they sit on the floor and use materials that illustrate the idea of the work. but in this certain age group, 'from age twelve to eighteen, the child's education becomes more traditional: books, computers, and the tools of the place where he may be apprenticing or doing social work. This is transition to adult life during which time the child learns to function in the real world. The environment now includes the farm, the public library, the work place, the large community.'

Drew Pools of sorrow waves of joy are drifting thorough my open mind.
I smiled at the new voice and said, "Nice to meet you, I'm Drew, 7th grader." I came off of the tile and put on my slippers, seating myself lightly onto one of the rugs.
"Its alright! Tardiness is only counted past 8:30, its only 8:10. Everyone take a seat on a rug, we should have enough.... Hmm. Lets play a name game. Take a seat." Ms. Eileen smiled at each new face and welcomed them. "Can I lead?"
"Sure, why don't you start the blind game too." The blind game was a favorite of mine. There was a blind inbetween two groups of people, one person from each side would come up front and then the blind would drop, you had to name the person on the other side before they named you. "Okaay, well you have to use an adjetive to describe you, I'll say one with 'a' then the next person 'b' and then 'c'. Huhmm... My name is Drew and I'm an amazing 7th grader."

I smiled and then made my turn in the game. "I'm Trina and I'm a beautiful 8th grader." I smiled and turned to my right. "Thank you, nice to meet you Trina. Welcome to the class."

Ms. Eileen temporarily by DeluxePanda I smiled at all of the new faces and sighed standing up to make a list. I picked up a dry erase marker and started a list of what had to be done before the lunch period. "Guys, sorry to stop you, but this is what you have to have done beofre the end of the day." I pointed at the board, it said....
1) boardwork 2) get a pretest for math 3) then (after step 2) get a presentation from me.
"Okaay just keep going then we can talk more."
