Username: Gromit of Vulcan
Character Name: Seth Walker
Age: 15 (Fifteen)
History: To say Seth's parents traveled a lot would be an understatement - whilst pregnant with Seth, and accompanied by Seth's older sister Aisha, the Walker seniors, who happened to be contemporaries of Professor's Oak and Rowan, traveled to Hoenn, Sinnoh, Kanto, Almia, and even Orre. It was only when they returned to Johto that Seth was born. Initially quite a sick child, often falling ill at the slightest breeze, Seth nonetheless soldiered on, and by the time he was six, he very rarely got sick - a trait that follows him even to the present day. With their second child no longer prey to disease, the Walkers did yet another round of the Pokemon regions, this time with six year old Seth tagging along.

Since Seth's parents were often involved in all manner of Pokemon research, he has seen most currently known Pokemon, and so feels just as comfortable around even the less well-regarded of Pokemon, such as Muk or Croagunk, showing them the same affection he would a Bellossom or Pichu. His first Pokemon was a Zigzagoon that he caught himself using a Poke Ball he had received as a present from an Officer Jenny - a Zigzagoon that he still has to this day, and is a loyal companion. At the age of fourteen, his parents, who had stopped him from starting off at ten as other children did because of his childhood sickliness, finally let him set off to receive his starter Pokemon from Professor Elm, giving him a PokeEtch and PokeGear so that he wouldn't get lost - and so they could keep tabs on him.

Seth quickly won himself the Loyal Badge in Violet City, also meeting Elite Four member Devyn Monroe in the City, before the man moved on to Goldenrod. Traveling on to Azalea, Seth won the Black Ice Badge, also meeting the Mahogany Town Gym Leader, Reno Morado, who became a traveling companion of sorts, along with Lillian Astrange and Amethyst - avoiding Goldenrod City due to the Team Rocket attack, Seth and co. headed to Blackthorn City, as instructed to by a friend of Reno's. Here, Seth met up with many members of the Pokemon League glitterati, including Lillith of the Elite Four and Khan Ikagami (who gave Seth Excalibur), before heading off to the Whirl Islands with Ally Mirrera to find Lugia, who had gifted his Silver Wing to the young trainer. It was around this time that Seth also received Vera, a Staryu, from Jackson Vakarian.

After the Whirl Islands came Blackthorn, and a whistle-stop briefing about the plan to take Goldenrod back before a rest - a rest immediately followed by the most intense battle Seth had ever experienced, not to mention the one with the highest stakes. However, between their legendary power and Arceus stepping in, they triumphed, and Seth's Riolu finally evolved, its exposure to the Alpha Pokemon triggering its long-delayed evolution. After the rendezvous at the Battle Castle, Seth won his battle against Jackson and his very own Coral Badge

This done, the young trainer made his way to Ecruteak City, on the way to which he caught Natalya and Wally, his Larvitar and Turtwig. Soon after, Seth defeated the famous Hoenn co-ordinator, Sapphire, while she was filling in at the Ecruteak Gym, earning the Fog Badge, whilst his faithful Munchlax finally decided to evolve - a decision Loony took issue with until Domo displayed an ability to imitate a raccoon-faced obese man with the Zigzagoon's help. The young trainer journeyed on through Johto, reaching Olivine City when something odd happened - he was transformed into a Riolu.

Teaming up with similarly afflicted trainers (Roz Cherrywood and Team Rocket Admin Kanra), he was able to make it to Cianwood City, the group breaking up before they transformed back - and before Seth realised just who had been travelling with him. Unfortunately for the young Walker, the Cianwood Gym Leader was out, but to eat up the time until they arrived back, he and Diego embarked on a little Safari Zone excursion, where the young trainer caught Wesker, his Jigglypuff, and met Alistair Lethbridge-Shaw, who, upon remembering who the young man was, gave him a Zorua, one of the very first Unova Pokemon to be introduced to Johto.

Upon returning to Cianwood, Seth discovered that the Gym Leader had returned - but it ended up being anything other than lucky for the young trainer. He was smashed by Mark's Pokemon in his first battle, and resorted to a fortnight of training in order to prepare for the re-match - and it paid off. Both Fred and Loony evolved during the battle, and it was largely due to their efforts that Seth won himself the Psyche Badge. Jubilant in his success, Seth jouryed across the Whirl Island channel to take the Olivine challenge - which was to be the strangest so far.

Olivine had no regular leader at the time, and so Seth ended up going against the temporary replacement - Emily Miliardo, the League Champion. But not in direct combat, no - he had to fight his way through a sand-storming maze, with only Diego at his side to protect him from Emily's Rhyperior, which had orders to stop them reaching the middle of the labyrinth. Thanks to an ingenious trick with an Escape Rope and the full manifestation of Diego's Aura power, they managed it, and won a waiver, acting as a pseudo-badge. Upon winning the challenge, Seth set out for Mahogany, though this time with extra company - Emily tagged along with him, wanting to say hello to some friends in the northern town, and Seth liberated Didymus, his Lillipup, from a less than stellar trainer on the way.

After arriving at Mahogany, Seth ventured into the Gym, quickly realising that Reno, his 'Rocker' friend, hadn't mentioned what he actually did for a living - as a result, Seth had his Pupitar charge through the Tesla maze and punched Reno in the face, going on to whup the Gym Leader, ending the match up by three Pokemon. He had something to hold over Reno's head now, but stalled the taunts for a moment to ask for directions - which pointed him in the direction of Goldenrod - and a Magneton. And so it came to be that Seth met Maggie.

After leaving the Mahogany Gym, Seth experienced two bouts of deja vu - one of which decided to stay with him for a while. The exuberant trainer Maria Knight, whom Seth had met many months ago when he was just starting out, appointed herself his travelling companion while he was waiting for Amethyst, another friend (met in the Slowpoke Well), to finish a battle. After reminiscing some, the two parted ways, with Seth and Maria heading for Blackthorn - and Seth's final badge. The pair arrived just in time to watch the match of the decade - Reno vs. Jackson.

Watching Jackson triumph over Reno with two Pokemon remaining, Seth parted from Maria, journeying to the Ruins of Alph in search of a Smeargle, a Pokemon he had heard much about - though he quickly learned none of what he heard included the fact that Smeargle are very mischevious, and it was only a fortuitious Poke Ball, thrown in anger, that he managed to catch the canine Pokemon. Upon recieving a PokeGear message from Jackson, Seth journeyed to Goldenrod once again, entering himself into the annual Goldenrod City Water Race.

Though Seth only placed fourth in the Water Race, given the competition included Elite Four members, Gym Leaders and Frontier Brains, he felt he'd done quite well, and, bolstered by his success, went on to Route 35 to try and catch a female Nidoran. However, after a full hour's searching, they came across one - which also seemed to be the most troublesome. Managing to take down Diego, Excalibur and Garrus, it was left to Henry to take her down - and, with the support of his trainer backing him up, the cowardly Venonat took her on. He won. He promptly evolved, hugging Seth senseless the moment he could, showing that he was still the overly emotional Venonat Seth had come to love and rely on. Thanks to Henry, Seth also caught Boudicca, his female Nidoran - named for a warrior queen, she was immensely powerful, her arrogance being nearly on par with said power, and Seth knew he'd have a hard time keeping her in check as she grew in strength.

After catching Boudicca, Seth decided it was high time he paid Amethyst a visit - but he had the misfortunate to arrive in Violet City just after the Gym was set ablaze by Violet Mahalovich, the de facto Team Rocket Leader. Seth had to comfort Amy, who had been reminded of the car crash in which her parents had died, and it was here that Amy told Seth the truth about herself. Rather than the rejection she feared, Seth told her to believe in herself, and threw himself behind her; Amy responded in kind by pressing a kiss to the young trainer's cheek. It was here that Seth also met Kyle Bollinger and Mona Ailteilé, young trainers that reminded Seth more than a little of himself when he was their age.

Not long after this, Seth and Amy recieved a mysterious message from what appeared to be the girl's parents, entreating them to come to Ilex Forest. Leaving Kyle and Mona in Professor Oak's capable hands, the two hurried to get to the bottom of the matter - which, as it turned out, was another of Celebi's sadistic time travel deals. He gave a group of trainers, Amy among them, a chance to change their pasts, offering the girl a chance to save her parents as a child, something the pair couldn't possibly pass up. After two rather traumatic and tiring days, the pair tracked down the girl's parents and attempted to stop them from going to their deaths. During all of this, Seth met Puff, a Dragonite belonging to Amy's parents who decided to accompany the young trainer back to the future - assuming their pasts would be irrevocably changed as a result of their actions, Seth confessed his feelings for Amethyst just before they returned, only to find that they were still together, still friends - but Amy had no idea of Seth's feelings for her. FML was the only response Seth was capable of.

Before long, a crisis of regional importance came up, and Seth, being Lugia's Chosen, rushed to Goldenrod Airport to meet up with the Oak Group, a group of trainers brought together to put a stop to Team Horizon's attempts to gain control of the world, and raze it, through the Tao trio. The younger Walker took control of Team 1, which, upon storming the Horizon base in Lilycove City, was assigned an M1 Abrams battle tank. Seth naturally dibsed it.

Home Town: Goldenrod City, Johto.

Personality: In a word, determined - having been coddled (most unhappily) from an early age, Seth is now incredibly determined to fulfil his potential as a trainer and prove himself. He is very mature for his age, already knowing how to cook for himself and look after his Pokemon, and very caring toward his Pokemon - a sign that he was brought up right by his parents, despite their constant moving about. He can be quite mischievous if he's in the right mood, though never malicious, and it takes quite a bit to get him riled up - when he does get angry, however, he'll make sure you're the first to know.
