You are probably here because you have read the newest Guild Announcement I sent out. Well, I need your feedback.
Are we done? You let me know. And it's greatly advised that you post to let me know on some feedback and how we can/did accomplish our goal.
UPDATE:
So, of the 10 people who voted, 5 people thought we still have work. Well. What is it? Tell us!

I think work can still be done, definately.
I checked it out too. I recognized one of the sites, called Arcamax.com. It sends jokes to your email but I've heard soo many complaints about it. Whatever you do, no one sign up for that. I NEVER signed up for that before. But it somehow obtained my email, I'm guessing illegitimately because I had never heard of it until it sent me emails saying I signed up for newsletters and that I needed to confirm. Good thing I didn't because I did some research and many people have said after signing up for Arcamax, they certainly do get their jokes, but along with some unwanted, endless spam as well.
As for the other offers, I'm not too sure about them. But I don't think they should be offered at all, to tell you the truth. It's inappropriate to link a 13 year old (or so) to a survery or credit card site. Just because it says 18+ doesn't mean they won't lie and insert information that could cause their parents trouble.
If they absolutely must keep the offers, I think the kind of offers more acceptable would be offers like signing up for charitable websites, such as thehungersite.com (which by the way is a very great site and please visit it when you get the chance!)
And sorry I haven't been very active. I've been really occupied. I'm making up by posting all my thoughts right now. And I will continue to do my best in updating whenever possible.

I agree with you for the 13 year olds getting they're parents in trouble, but that's why parents should go over Internet Guidelines and Safety with their children.

I see at least one that I find may be problematic. It's for an opinion poll-like thing. It requires 18 and up, but it's very small and at the end.

Well, not every single offer can be safe. We've gotten rid of like 123456789/123456790. Which is good.

Yeah... but I definetely feel like there are still some that are just a little too shady. There are a couple marketing to young kids.

This is the thing though for those younger children, they will mostly do it anyways even going through the guildlines. Its worse then having nine year olds on this website. >.< Even though I'm not sure if they are suppose to be here or not.. =.=
Anyways, I feel that it's not completed and should regulate the offers. Like use our birthday information and have it not appear to those certain users or something. XD sweatdrop

Kara, I see what you're saying. Let's say if for the offers, you need to remember the birthday that you used, because most people who registered under the age of 13 use a completely random birthday. I know I did when I was 12. So you need to remember the birthday you used, and you needed to enter it for every offer.

True, that's why some of the sites on there do a follow-up. Some sites could care less, that's why we should have it only recognize either our birthday. Or when we first joined gaia. o.o For the over-eighteen ones should only be for people who've been on here for longer than a year.

I'm happy. So long as the offers are legitimate and not viruses, it's safe enough. While it's my opinion that gaia shouldn't have credit card offers, Gaia has every right to have them so long as they put forth the appropriate warning. I haven't looked deep into the offers yet, but they look legitimate. I say we're done with the offers, or at least for the time being. Gaia really does seem to have shaped up, and they're keeping the offers safe for us.

As far as I can see, we're done with the first part. There is now an open forum where you can share problems with the offers, but I'm still holding on to this guild in case something goes bad and we need to take some kind of action... Which is also my only reason to hold on to my wingding shirt XD

I agree with Aryllia. We've accomplished our goal but I think we need to stay incorporated just in case there should come some other crisis that needs to be opposed.

I don't plan on completely shutting us down, of course not. But we'll be there when something else bad happens, and we'll try to deal with it.

I'd say the offers are getting better for the most part...there are still issues, but not as many as when it first started. Which is at least making a little progress.
