 Okay every week I will be posting a weekly creature following the order of the alphabet! I will start this week of with Angels. Angels are viewed as bringers of good and light. They live among the kingdom of Heaven. By some legends and folklore it is said that faeries are part angel. Although faeries can have the feather like wings of angels, only Angels have haloes.They can come in many categories consisting of Archangels, Serentine Angels, Cherub Angels, Guardian, and many more. Your job is to find anything about Angels and post it on this thread. You may also post pictures and videos relating to the topic creature! Alright have fun with this! Thanks, kagome_roker

In Pythagoreanism angels and demons are reputed to dwell in the air, in between gods and men. This is why demons, as well as angels, are usually depicted with wings.

There is a hierarchy of angels, apparently, consisting of nine different types:
The First Sphere, heavenly counselors:
Seraphim
Cherubim
Thrones
Second Sphere, heavenly governors:
Dominions
Virtues
Powers
Third Sphere, heavenly messengers.
Principalities
Archangels
Angels (also Guardian Angels)

Each of the archangels represents a direction or element in the wicca tradition. You can either call in the quarters or the archangels.
Raphael, Archangel of the East
Colors: Yellow or gold and blue
Season: Spring
Time of day: Dawn
Element: Air
Astrological signs: Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius
Michael, Archangel of the South
Color: Red or scarlet
Season: Summer
Time of day: Noon
Element: Fire
Astrological signs: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius
Gabriel, Archangel of the West
Color: Blue or aquamarine
Season: Fall
Time of Day: Dusk
Element: Water
Astrological signs: Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces
Ariel, Archangel of the North
Colors: Green and brown
Season: Winter
Time of Day: Midnight
Element: Earth
Astrological signs: Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn

Alright everyone great job with the posts, but don't be afraid to posts pictures and videos! You have all done well so far! Keep it up! I am going to make this a little more interesting, by turning these posts into a contest! Anyone who posts something with the most information and is creative as well wins something. Haven't thought of anything yet, but it might be gold. I will let you know later!

According to what I read faries were thought by some to be not part angel but angels who were not good enough for heaven nor bad enough for hell so got cught in out world, in between the two.

I got kicked out of sunday school and banned from a church my friends mom brought me to because my dad told me that story and I wouldn't change my mind that faeries were angles who wouldn't choose a side in the war between heaven and hell. @.@

Actually famous science fiction author Isaac Isamov explains this very well.
