Kira Kokoro, a shy, sweet and tender girl, was found apon the doorstep of 'Guro-no-kimi' or rather known as 'crimsin lotus', the famous school that help train young girls into sophisticated, beautiful individuals that are polite, well mannored. She is taken in and raised, being given the name 'kira' as her name, and her last name 'kokoro' determined by her kind, loving heart.

instead of living for free, she works for her meals, home and to help the school and houses the best she can.Her belief is that nothing is for free and this is what she could do (for the time being) to pay them back for their hospitality. Now the young gentle girl is turning 17 in two weeks, and on that day her geisha initiation will begin.It won't be easy because kira is easy to intimidate, a bit clumsy, sometimes forgetful and most of all shy. So for the next two weeks she will work amongst her sensei's in the 'houses' or 'party rooms' where getisha's entertain and give their hospitality twards their male guests. There is a lot to learn about paitence, politeness and the importance of helping their guests unwind and relax.

Mira : Owner of the dojo, kind to her guests and wants her dojo to run properly. She was the one who had found 'kira' and is somewhat a mother of the dojo.

Sensei: A hardcore teacher who doesn't take crap from anybody. Mostly has to scold kira because she is clumsy and is difficult. Loves to drink sake and is easily sucked up to by anyone (except kira . . . it doesn't work for her )
