Topic: School Uniforms
What is your view on school uniforms? Should they be required, why or why not? If your school has a uniform, do you like them?

The school I go to does not have uniforms. The only things we have to abide by are: we are not allowed to wear stapless shirts, extremely short shorts, or any type of clothing that exposes anything inappropiate.
Personally, I really don't agree with school uniforms. I think making everyone wear the same thing takes away individuality. I'm very grateful to the fact that my school doesn't have uniforms. From what I seen where I live, school uniforms are expensive as well.

I'd say for public school, don't have a school uniform, but for private school, do have a school uniform, and make the last day of the school week "Uniform free day" where the students can wear whatever they want.

I hate uniforms. I have to wear them everyday to school, but you can wear tight polos, sparkly belts, and khaki skinny pants, so you can look decent. And any jacket, so its not to terrible....

I wouldnt mind school uniforms... my opinion, it wouldnt matter what you wear cause everyone would be wearing the same thing so they cant make fun of you.

At my school we do have a dress code and I like it, but I don't like it. I like it because that way, people aren't made of for their clothes. I don't like it because it's kind of strict when it comes to clothing(they have rules about what socks you can and can't wear). For hair, your hair has to look natural no crazy colors or styles(which is exactly opposite of how i want mine). No jewelry(except stud earrings and watches) and no makeup. On the bright side, occasionaly there are jean days and during Spirit Week you can dress really crazily so its not too bad but still.
I guess what I'm trying to say is uniforms can be good and bad. It all just kinda depends on how you look at it.

My school is nuts! See rules below v.v
1. Hair must be 2 inches or shorter below the ears. Who cares how my hair looks like?
2. School socks must be 5cm above the ankle.
3. Earrings must not dangle.
4. Belts, multi-colored socks, hairpins are forbidden!
5. All wear uniforms to school. No exceptions It says that in he rule book but do the teachers comply? NOOOOO..
And thats just for attire the whole set of rules could circle the globe three times over and still not end
As you can see, I don't like the rules..

the school i go to we need a uniform....i dont rly hav a prblm cuz one of the rules is tht we hav 2 wear a belt, but if we dont, they dont care...we also have 2 wear specific pants...but if u wear pants tht looks similar, they wont notice either....i havnt done the pant one, cuz i dont hav any pants tht match, but the belt one, they didnt rly notice me...*whee*

My sschool require uniform... But personally I like school uniform ( Asian ) They are pretty stylish.. And make you look good with a tie.

my school uniform
- 100% cotton short-sleeved baby blue shirts
- 100% polyaster full length navy blue pants
- pure white socks & black or white tennis shoes ONLY
- Girls above 3rd grade MUST wear a headscarf
quoted from my handbook, the last rule is because of religeos reasons
i swear i look like a gay retart in them
