Somebody from the school office called the house phone asking for me apparently, and she called them back and they were like "Uhh no, we don't know who called you." And then she asked me why they called me, and how would I know why they called me if I wasn't there for the call? D8< So I said " I dunno. Why would I know?" And then she said "You skippin' school?" in that disappointed motherly tone...
I'm a friggin' honor roll student D8

That's happened to me a few times in high school. It was really because I missed roll call, so I got marked down for being absent.

I don't know where you're college is, but in NC they legally can't do that if you're 18 or older.

ZUMI POWAAAAA xDD
Awesomeness xD
Well, I used to skip school a load of times (such a rebel, I know), and they never called my mom xD they just sent a letter home, but I grabbed and burned it before anyone laid eyes on that baby >w>
But, sad part of the story, I only missed the first classes in the morning, because I was too busy sleeping.

when I was in highschool, right after all the homeroom teacher took attendance the school would call the parents of every single person that was absent even if they had an excuse >>
I gave them my cell number as my home number though so my parents never found out when I skipped XD
in college, nobody gives two shits

My highschool called my house even if I missed just one class. 8l As soon as I turned 18, the attendence office started accepting notes I wrote myself, so all was good.
-reminisces like this was 20 and not 2 years ago-

Some automated machine calls whenever I'm absent to let me know. I'm not too much of a skipper, so most of the time I'm sitting at home when they call. . .
and I think Yeke sounds better :3

♦ ♣ ♥ ♠
Zoom zoom Zumi zoom.
I never skipped in high school. I even showed up on senior skip day because I'm square like that. I've skipped college a lot though because they give you those nifty little papers right at the beginning of each class that tells you what to read and when, what to do for homework, and when major projects are done. Sometimes going to class is not necessary.
And, if you're not on financial aid? No, they don't give a s**t ;3
