Ok, here's a question. If you threw Ness, Paula, Poo, and Jeff all in a pit, who would come out victorious? Now to make things fair, none of the characters have any of thier ultimate equpiment, but they are level 99 with spells, skills, items, ect. One more thing, no permanent stat increase items have been used.

Unfortunately, Ness would own, given the boost he recieves by aligning his own energy with that of the Earth's. It occurs during the natural storyline of Earthbound. Also given Ness's ability to heal himself fully and his naturally ridiculous health, it'd be unlikely that anyone else would defeat him.

Also given Ness's ability to heal himself fully and his naturally ridiculous health, it'd be unlikely that anyone else would defeat him. um... i didnt think we were talking in turms of hp like in video games... i thought it was more in a REAL fight... who would win... now lets see... Ness- a bat Paula- a frying pan Jeff- a pop gun Poo- a sword now when you think of it that way... Jeff is out of the question... paula has her powers... and praying... so if Poo and Ness were in a heated dual she could pray and some amazing thing could happen... or something totally odd... but thats IF she has time... so Paula has a chance but... in the most likely event Ness and Poo in the final dual... it would be a hard choice... i mean Poo has a sword and is a warrior monk Ness has a bat (quite a good weapon if i say so my self) but then being aligned with the earth... he would win in the end... so, as much as i wish Poo would win... or Meridith Paula, Ness would win... sweatdrop now that ive ranted a bunch to get gold... and cuz im bored... hows life with everyone? lol

[chick + Frying pan] x fight = death yes but you also over look 2 things [savior of the world + bat + aligned energy with world] x fight = SUPER DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [warrior monk + sword] x fight = death within minutes o well... im too lazy to argue more lol i just did this to get money stare

Well, silly me...I read the first post, made my choice in the poll, then re-read the first post. I was all for Poo taking everyone down until I saw the bit about not having his ultimate equipment. And that means no Sword of Kings. I think he could take Ness down a couple notches if he had the sword, but without it, I have to go with Ness.

Since no one has any protection to any magic, Paula would win. Ness does have sooo much HP and PP, and he has the spell that does the most damage (if lucky) that also works on all enemies (if lucky), and he has instant kill attacks, and super ultra healing spells, and shields and paralysis, but Paula doesn't have to worry about any of it: she's the fastest of the chosen four, Poo is the second fastest, and Jeff is the third, and Ness is the fourth.
` Paula can put up a delfection sheild before anyone else can do anything, and even if Ness parylizes her, she can still use PSIFreeze or PSIFire. PSIFreeze does about 720HP of damage. Ness probably has about HP in the 700s by now. If Ness attacked Paula the first turn, then she's in trouble, but if Ness isn't useing a super ultra powerful bat, she's still pretty safe, unless someone else attacked her after that.
` However, if Poo casts PSIBrainshockZ (I'm using "Z"s as omegas, mmkkaayy??), she might hit the wrong person, and completely wipe them out instead of Ness.
` But since Paula has a psychic power sheild, it will only benefit her if Ness uses PSI[special] or PSIFlash, or if Poo uses PSIStarstorm, and she has it on before anyone can do anything to her.
` After cutting down or wiping out Ness (and freezing him), Paula can use PSIFireZ in the third round, which will cut Poo's HP in half and bring Jeff pretty far down. Still, Paula is at risk if more than one person attack her physically, or if Poo uses PSIThunder, or if Ness is lucky enough to survive the PSIFreezeZ and heal (Poo's HP is in the five hundreds, so Paula can kill him). But Ness could use PSIHypnosis, which I'd never have him use in the game . . .

This would be where I point out that if any one of the four (namely Ness, who I be's rootin for) have something such as the Earth charm, that 720 dmg from PSI freeze wouldn't be as devastating as first described. In addition, I don't know about you, but every time Ness got confused and started swingin that bat, someone died. So if he's actually aiming for Paula, she's the bug splatter on the windshield two inches to the left. And while Paula is usually fastest (that much I will admit), Ness came in pretty close after her, if not FIRST in my games, especially late game. And all apologies, but once Paula is out of the way, Jeff and Poo can't do damage fast enough to bring Ness down.
However, this is all if you want to put it in game terms. pirate
