It took me AGES to get the Darksword this round! I mean, shizz, I got Excalibur faster than the Darksword. =_=

Ugh, those stupid forge items. I hated waiting for Sunshine to make them, and I hated having to gather up all the necessary materials, especially Mythil Silver, Orihalcon, and Dark Matter. Bah. I mean, I abused the heck out of the RNGs but sometimes those stinking Soul Army enemies would just not give me what I wanted!

I thought it was common knowledge that you could go into the Yallam sanctum and then go back to Sunshine and he would have the items finished.
Anyway, that said, RNG hates me too. I have never been able to get the Staff of Anubis, and my brother consistently gets about three Tisiphone Edges in the time it takes me to get one.

Well, yes, but it was the wait for him to make the right item that was the problem. I should have been clearer. It's a pain to have to get all excited, and think, "maaaaayyybeeee this time, it'll be Excalibur!" And Sunshine walks over (painfully slowly) and hands over a Millenium Helm. And he's tried to make you one of those ten times already. So you have to do it again, and he's just as slow as ever. On top of all that time you spent hunting down Sky Dragons to get the stinking Orihalcon.

Ah, okay, I gotcha. Yeah, I understand that frustration completely. I've lost track of how many times I've sat there thinking to myself "10% chance of getting a Darksword? Bullshit, this is the 20th time I've had to reset!"

Geez... That's the only drop weapon I was ever able to get before I learned how to abuse the RNG. Now I can get anything, as long as I have the patience. It's always a pain when Sunshine doesn't make you what you want. I always have the most trouble getting Excalibur...

I got really excited when I got the Rune Sword for the first time ever, and now I'm learning that there is so much more to get. =_=

I would just leave the town and then come back... I didn't know you could just go into the Sanctum... Well, that'll save me loads of time.

Well, the Staff of Anubis is dropped by Red Demons in the Gabomba Statue. (And under it.)

the original neji hyuga Quick question...Whats the RNG? EDIT: Oh never mind Random Number Generator right? I still dont know what it means to "abuse" it though.. Basically, because it resets it every time you turn the game off, you can abuse it by doing certain combinations of moves in battle to build it up to a certain amount and get a guaranteed result.

the easy way I get dropped weapons/ forged items is just press the A button slowly after beating the monster then repeat if it didn't work. I just recently got the Giant axe from the earth golems in Venus lighthouse

Bullshit, this is the 20th time I've had to reset!" That's exactly how I felt when it took 13 eggs to get a female Piplup, and there was supposed to be a 87.5/12.5 percent split between male and female in the species (hence why you get a male starter so often). You know, I never really bothered much with those forged weapons. I remember getting Excalibur really easily though. Are the forged weapons really good?

Several of the best weapons in the game are forged, yeah. Off the top of my head, Excalibur and the Darksword, which are two of the top five weapons period (the others being the Sol Blade, Tisiphone Edge, and some staff I can't remember the name of), as well as the... Tungsten Mace, I think? The one that unleashes Hammersphere, it's the best mace in the game. Several of the forged pieces of armor or other equipment are among the best in their category as well, like the robe you can forge from the Dragonskin.
