The war now over, the group of ninja with out a village to call their own returned to the ruins of The Village Hidden in Towns. Living Death, now in charge, was leading those who survived, as few as they were. One night, Death told some friends that he had to leave and even though they insisted that they needed him to take care of the remains of the village, Death left anyway. It had become the following day and word of Death's mysterious disappearance was beginning to spread....

((OK, so if you are still interested in staying with us then you should post here before I return. The setting is just ruins of the village and you're all gathering and what not. I need a little more time to get everything in place so try and get a conversation of some kind going (or an argument, that's cool too).))

"Ugh... Man, where could Death have gone?" Yuki sighed. He looked around at the ruins of where he once lived. It filled him with a profound sense of loss, and.... Nostalgia? It was almost familiar to him. It was a wierd circumstance for déjà vu. His remaining eye scanned the faces of the ninja with whom he had fought. "Right when those of us that survived need some leadership, he runs off! That's not like him..." Yuki rubbed his face bandages where his right eye once was. It was still painful. Man... I feel so useless... I wasn't prepared for this. I need to train harder. He sighed. I need to find someone who can give me the training that'll best help me. And let me help other people, instead of simply surviving.

" hey yuki your not the only one lost hear."
flagenza looked at his summoning tag that he had used to call the Rai kage, after turning the attacking panther to mere fragments of themselves he had just disappeared. flagenza worried he had somehow insulted the him.

flagenza had returned to his village but they had told him to simply to stay a representative, to towns. he was personally just confused.

as one by one his chicks appeared he sat on a near by rock, at least he thought it was just a rock. He thought of Hina back in steel as he span one of his large shuriken.

" so yuki how you been doing?"

Falta

falta walked up and sat beside her brother silent with puff on her shoulder in his puff of smoke form. she was tired and confused hse head band was tied hanging of her waist like hizeru kept his family's hanging.

she felt lost and just to tired. to much had gone on, her closest friend, May was gone, her master diasappeared and her family was not what she thought it was.

she wasn't much for conversation but it felt needed, and she was tired of secrets.

" Yuki what do you think you'll do to replace your eye? use a special jutsu or will you look for some sort of prosthetic option?"

Midori sighed as she emerged from the wreckage of the hospital. Other then her private lab it had probably been one of the most technologically advanced spots in the village full of expensive equipment most of which had been reduced to near worthless heaps of slag.

So far the results of her salvage expedition had not been very encouraging but she'd grabbed what she could and sealed it away into a scroll for easier transpiration. Maybe she'd have better luck at that shell of what had once been the power plant.

Spotting Yuki, Flagenza and Falta gatherered together she went over to join them. "Everyone doing ok?" She asked trying to make her voice sound more cheerful then she really felt and failing badly.

After all, all this damage...all this destruction was really her fault wasn't it? If she hadn't tried to grandstand against Synth and just surrendered in the first place the village might have been spared....Some kage she had been.

Now the smoldering rubble of a once great village was a nexus point of death. So many people had died here at once that it had left an imprint in the very soil, the very air around them in the form of ghosts that literally haunted her as only she with her special eyes could see them.

"So far my out of all the places I've checked my lab took the least of it. Well I DID build to last but even so it's damaged enough that I won't be able to repair May any time soon. At least not with the equipment at hand." Midori rambled to Falta and Yuki who had spent more time with May then anyone other then herself.

Turning to Flagenza she frowned. How had he managed to masqueraded as a Towns ninja for so long with out being detected? The fact even Vix hadn't caught on spoke leagues about his infiltration skills and She found her respect for him rise a little...

If it hadn't been for the negative universe his rouse might have continued going uncovered for quite a while longer. "Are you worried about the Raikage?" She asked seeing the look on his face.

"I wouldn't be too concerned. The power I sensed in him was enough to rival even Chaos. I wouldn't be surprised if he simply got board by the lack of a challenge and just ran off." She commented based off what little she knew about the man.

"Rival my power? Careful what you say Midori-chan." Chaos said as he walked onto the bridge. He chuckled a bit as he looked over the group. "Maybe I should just go hunt him down and eliminate him. Hehehehe..."

Chaos was wearing his normal, large purple cloak. Behind him stood another man however. This man wore a set of white ANBU armor with the same belted outfit Chaos wore under his cloak, under his armor. The man's hair was white as well and a white blindfold covered his eyes. Both Chaos and this man appeared to have a weapon on them, though Chaos always had a weapon on him even if one was not visible.

"It is as you thought Chaos-no-kami..." The man said. This man was known as one of Chaos's three disciples. A man said to be one of Chaos most powerful minions.

"I see..." Chaos said with a shake of the head. "So Midori-chan. What shall you do now?"
PostPosted: Wed Apr 14, 2010 1:06 pm

Midori shrugged eying Chaos and his companion wearily. "Who is that a friend of his? A minion?" She wondered to herself as she carefully measured her reply. "I only meant he was in the same general ballpark. Considering how big those are that leaves plenty of room left for you to still be superior." She answered

Frankly even if they where equal power wise which she doubted she'd still give Chaos the edge based solely on his experience. You don't live centuries with out learning a thing or two along the way after all.

Hearing how the anbu addressed Chaos she raised a slight eyebrow but said nothing. If he styled himself a god who was she to say otherwise? He was certainly powerful enough to back up the claim.

She'd certainly rank him in that god-ninja category normally only used in the same breath to describe the likes of the sage of the six paths or the 6th Hokage, ninja so strong that they suppressed the qualities of mere legend.

When Chaos asked her what she would do now Midori frowned not quite sure of the answer herself. What DID a former kage do once they lost their post? She could always resume her research or continue to train students like Yuki but that only seemed to be part of the answer with something missing.

Gazing at Chaos she couldn't help but wonder. "Does he suspect? Does he know?" Thinking about her secret which she had told nobody not even May. But Then she had only found out a few days ago when she had been held captive so he couldn't possibly know.

In a way it prepared it had been partly why she had tried to throw her life away so recklessly in order to hide her shame from coming to light.

**** (Inside the airship a few days ago)

Glacia smirked as she read the results of a body scan she had just run over the semi cooperating Midori.

"Oh somebody has been busy you little minx. No wonder your chakra is acting slightly erratic your...." the next works blanked out in Midori's mind in sheer shock as she fought not to collapse to her knees refusing to look weak in front of the enemy.

This shouldn't be possible. Her variant of the skyrider bloodline, the crimson eyes was supposed to mean that this couldn't...shouldn't happen. And yet somehow in her weakness she had been cursed...or was it blessed with a miracle.

Thinking about it, the signs had been their all along she had just refused to see them. Half a denial of reality and half for simply being out of touch with her femininity.

**** (present day) ****

"Should I tell him? Should I tell anyone?" Midori thought to herself. Part of her wanted to flee, wanted to hide so nobody would know, so nobody would find out. But she had never been a coward before and she wasn't about to start now.

Chaos was many things to her. A enemy and a rival. Someone she looked up to at times and hated at others. And yet at the very least even he deserved to know the truth even if she didn't want to give it to him.

After a long pause she opened her mouth to speak, the words coming out slowly as she dropped the bombshell on everyone.

"I don't know... what should I do. I'm.....I'm Pregnant!" She exclaimed with a slight sob. "And it's all YOUR fault!" She added pointing an accusing finger at Chaos.

That night several weeks ago when they had been negotiating the terms of their alliance she had tried to appeal to his refined tastes by offering him a rare and powerful wine. Not used to drinking she had gotten wasted and Chaos had been quick to take advantage of her by sealing the deal the old fashioned way.. in bed.

It had been why she had been so disheveled the next day and why she had been so pissed at him. Why she had thrown up on the way to Steel despite the fact that physically she had been in perfect health.

Midori watched Chaos carefully wondering what his reaction would be. Wondering what the reaction of the others would be as well as she fought not to dissolve into a sniveling mess.

Yuki had been going to answer, but he never got a chance. He would have told Flagenza how terrible he felt, how useless he felt, how much of a burden he felt he was. He wanted to tell Falta that he'd probably not do anything about his eye. He had earned the scar. He wasn't good enough to save his eye, so he lost it. And besides, he had no money for medical procedures. When his guardian had died, the only money the man had was used to pay off the medical bills. He wanted to ask Midori what he should do. But he couldn't speak... not with him there. Not with Chaos nearby. The cursed aura around him made Yuki nauseous, but it wasn't like before. It wasn't too bad, but it would instantly become almost unbearable, and then his stomach would settle again. But hearing what he had done to his teacher... He was stunned. And he couldn't keep his composure. He just leaned to the side, away from the group, knelt, and vomitted, cradling his abdomen with both arms. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and stood back up. "... You sick... twisted... Ugh..." Yuki couldn't form any coherent thoughts. He wanted to comfort Midori. He wanted to slug Chaos. But he couldn't do anything. He was too dizzy. And too nauseous. And too weak.

He gagged again, but suppressed his sickness successfully. Yuki was thouroughly sickened by Chaos. And yet... something about him made Yuki impressed by him. Even admired Chaos. The strength, the cunning... Somehow, Chaos had enough guile to take advantage of Midori, one of the strongest-willed people he knew. Yuki was genuinely awestruck. But he was still sickened by something. The chakra was...

No. It wasn't the chakra. Something in Yuki was changing. The chakra was affecting him, but it wasn't causing this. Yuki clutched his head; it was throbbing, and hurt so much that he couldn't think straight. He swayed a little. An image flashed through his mind. Flames. Flames dancing, licking the night sky. Tongues of fire burning through every home in a small village. But quickly the images faded.
"What's...?" He started to speak, but stopped. His voice seemed... deeper. Grittier.

Yuki turned away and vomitted again, and quickly wiped his mouth. His head throbbed, his stomach churned... He couldn't think. He sat down on a nearby rock.
"s**t... Just... Just give me a sec..."

flagenza slowly stood after hearing Midori's disturbing news. he lloked at yuki who wasn looking very good, likely Chaos's chakra it had always seem to affect yuki the worst. flagenza thought loud. i know you you have me tapped falta, go help yuki.

flagenza took a step forward and looked at chaos, "He would like that Chaos."

flagenza was happy about Midori's confidence in the Raikage but he doubted she really grasped his power.

flagenza put the tag away. flagenza was back in his new equipment and had managed to gather his things form his home with tailz. The house was destroyed, all but the door. but the door still led into the house. Tailz had managed to make the door teleport you to a house some where far away and was protected by more seals than flagenza had ever seen on one object

He had put all of his old gear in to a sac he had with him. he wasn't sure what he was going to do but he definetly wasn't going to go anywhere without all his belongings.

flagenza moved over behind midori not taking his eye's away from chaos and his new friend.

"Yes... Issho-kun just confirmed it and you telling me enforces it." Chaos said as he stood there glaring at Midor for a moment before looking back at his companion. "Issho-kun... You are to guard Midori..."

"Yes, Chaos-no-kami." The blindfolded man said as he stepped forward past Chaos towards Midori.

"Issho-kun here is what you would call my Trump Card. His strength should be enough to ensure its safety and yours. I have more important things to tend to..." With those words Chaos turned and walked off the bridge. Once off the bridge he vanished beneath the earth.

Issho stood there before Midori and her group. The blindfold blocked his eyes, yet he still gazed upon the group. It appeared as if the man would say something yet he remained quiet.

Flagenza felt his nerves spring up, he hated how chaos ignored him. but he couldn't even hope to challenge chaos on any level.. he looked at the so called trump card.

Flagenza debated his ability to take on this guy. he personally didn't trust leaving anyone from outside there remaining circle of ninja to protect Midori.

flagenza sent a small charge of chakra into his scarf.

his chickens simply worked there way around the area.

Issho suddenly turned his head towards Flagenza, even with the blindfold it seemed as if he was gazing directly at Flagenza. "I will warn you... You can hide nothing from me. If you so much as flux your chakara again, I will be forced to eliminate you." The man said as he pointed his hand at Flagenza. "I am ordered to eliminate all threats to Midori or myself."

Elsewhere:

From a hidden tunnel two men emerged. One man wore a set of white ANBU armor with the same belted outfit Chaos wore under his cloak, under his armor. Similar to Issho at the bridge yet this man had short blue hair and didn't wear a blind fold. He also had red markings on his face.

The other man however wore the same long purple cloak, long red hair, and had odd purple marks on his face. In fact he looked exactly like Chaos except for one thing. His face looked much older than Chaos. The man appeared to be in his 60s rather than his twenties like the Chaos, Midori and group always saw. In fact this was the true Chaos, a man who hadn't emerged from under the earth in forties years.

"With Issho protecting Midori we can not afford a frontal confrontation. Plus I must return to my control form in 23 hours or I will be force to move into my rest form. I wish to observe Midori more and we can not afford the Swamp Village to find my location for I would not like to level a country side today." Chaos said with a cough. "Lets go."

The man with Chaos nodded and followed. What was Chaos up to now?

Falta smiled, she had forgotten she had placed a mind reading jutsu on her brother. with the current calm and her brothers loudness she noticed it without trying to hear his thoughts. she followed his instruction and headed over to yuki.

" How are you? What can I do to help." falta was staying calm, she had nothing to get overly excited about, other than may still being lost and the appearance of the threatening ninja, she had no real problems for her. she was just going to wait.
