Knights of Wonderland

Everyone knows about the story of Wonderland. Alice fell down the rabbit hole and found insanity incarnate. Animals that could talk, flowers that sang, and cards that moved. Then she left the craziness. Life continued on until the world started decaying. No one knew why until the second coming of Alice. Wonderland blamed her, casting her out to her ‘real world’ to deal with her own insanity without them.

Unfortunately the damage had been done already. Over the years full out war had broken out between the previous allies of the Chessboard, the Red Kingdom and the White Kingdom. After the decay started, the Kingdoms started drifting apart, finally noticing their blatant differences. The influential families of Wonderland, the Hatters, the Cheshires, the March Hares, the Dormouses, have all chosen their sides. The White Kingdom promoting peace and harmony and would do anything to keep their Kingdom happy. On the other hand, the Red Kingdom promoted harsh realities and war and wanted to force their ways upon everyone. Leaving the Chessboard stuck helplessly in the middle.

The time has come for you to choose your side. Will you follow the ways of hard one peace and harmony? Or will you yearn for the chaos and destruction that had come into the world? Or will you continue to sit on the fence until Wonderland crumbles around you. Draw up your blade, Knights of Wonderland, and follow your destiny.

Story

Welcome to our war. We are the expendable, the Knights of Wonderland. We are nothing but pawns to those who lead. But we have no way of knowing what we do is right. Blindly we have to follow, placing our unyielding faith into our Majesties’ hands.
Why do they fight, though? Is it simply to force our ideas on the other Kingdoms? Or is it for a much sinister matter?
We fight to bring this world to its destiny. But will our actions cause it’s healing…or it’s utter destruction in the end?

Setting

The White Kingdom—

This is a place of beauty. Imagine the most beautiful pictures of fields and forests, and that’s what you get. It borders on the north side of the Giant-Tiny Forest. To the direct north of the forest resides the Castle, large and grand. White stone make the large walls and a towering gate in the woods gives it an ethereal feeling. To the west of the castle is the main village of the Kingdom. In here there’s the usual; a bar, inn, blacksmith, and a marketplace.

~ Castle Grounds~

The Castle grounds are also set up peacefully. Within the walls and to the left are the Knight’s Stables. Each Knight has their horse resting here, behind the stables is a paddock for their steeds to roam in. To the east of the gates inside is the Knights Barracks. Again, each Knight has their own personal rooms and bathing areas. On the lower basement floors are decent sized training rooms with various weapons inside.

Red Kingdom—

The lands around the Kingdom are found to be a bit lacking. Far from the fertile fields of the White Kingdom, the lands fields are few and far between. The forest that separates the Castle from the deadly Maze is dying in places. It almost seems like there is no hope left in this place. The main village that is near by looks lively and bustling though the poverty rate is very high. Granted, there are people who live here and make their money from the Knights who constantly visit on their days off. It’s not much of a life, but it’s better being favored by the Queen for supporting her Knights, than living in fear like the rest of the kingdom. This village has most of what a large village needs, a bar, inn, blacksmith (though he specializes more into the more bizarre weapons that the Knights use), and a rather small marketplace along with a local Church, for anyone that still has any hope in such a Godforsaken Kingdom.

~Castle Grounds~

The Castle is quite intimidating when you come up to it. Black stones make up the walls with pitch black wood making the gates. Once inside, it looks almost foreign from the rest of the scenery. There’s actual grass inside, trees (not forest trees…more like the decorative kind), and flowers. Anything that can have a red hue to it has it. Leading up to the Castle’s main doors is a stone path that also verges off to the left towards the back of the Castle, it leads to the Knight’s area of the Castle Grounds.

Immediately past the gate separating the front of the castle there are the stables. This houses both the horses for the Knights and for the Queen’s Carriage. The building opposite of the Stables is the Knights Barracks, again, each Knight has their own room. Between the large expanse of the Stables and the Barracks is the training grounds. Knights must bring their own weapons to practice with.

Rules

Activity - Because I don't want the role play to die, members are going to be expected to post at least four times a week though not more than ten times a day, quality over quantity I don't want to come back and see a billion pages from where I left off, I'm sure others will feel the same way. Also this is a long term role play and I want it to last for as long as possible. If you're going to be away or cannot post for a while, please PM me. If you are waiting for someone to reply to your post, post in the OoC thread while you wait. You can get to know the other members that way and at least we'll all know that you're still alive.
Character - People aren't perfect and neither will the characters in this role play. Your character must have some flaws. Everything is a lot more interesting that way then having characters that are super nice and always friendly and smart. But that doesn't mean that you should make a character that is always going to be crying throughout the whole role play or something like that. Be creative and have a unique character. It gets boring if every character is just like the other. Girls may play guys and vise versa. You may create more then one character but the max limit is three.
Fun - Feel free to add a little drama and even chaos to the role play. That is always loved. We want you to have fun here and for that to happen, we need everyone to be respected. Do go lamming each others posts and make sure to include others. If someone if role playing alone, try to role play with them and for those of you who are role playing alone, try to get in on a conversation with the other members. We need you to put out an effort as well.
Joining - To join Knights of Wonderland, please fill out a profile skeleton and then PM it to me. If you have any questions or anything, feel free to PM me and don't be afraid to reserve a spot if you want.
Literacy - One-liners will not be allowed even when you have a writer's block I demand at least a paragraph if not more. Be at least semi-lit. Post in past tense and in third person. Type out your words and use complete sentences. Do not use chat speak. Capitalize when necessary and use punctuation and all that good stuff. People make mistakes so don't worry you have a few typos here and there . So as long as your post in understandable, then it shouldn't be a problem. Try to reread your post or use spell check, it really helps.
Post - In posts, you are allowed to cuss as much as you want as long as it's not every other word or something like that. Do not make quote towers. They stretch the page and it looks really messy. If you plan to type OoC in this thread, make sure you have some sort of brackets to indicate it. (Ex. {{}}, [[]], (()), or something like that.). Feel free to pretty up your posts however you want.
Ratings - Romance is allowed but make sure it doesn't go above PG13. So that also means that there will be no cybering. Fighting and violence is also allowed but don't have yours characters bickering in every single post. Killing characters isn't allowed though just because it doesn't exactly fit with the role play. Make sure you follow the ToS.
More rules may be added at any time. So make sure you check back here.

Postitions

The White Army
{ Q u e e n } - In Wonderland it is the Queen who holds the power of the throne. She is the one who makes the decisions, and everyone reports to her. And even though she is royalty she too will ride into battle to fight side by side with her soldiers.

{ K i n g } - The King is second in command, the Queen's right hand man. If the Queen cannot be found or she is busy, then he takes command of the army.

{ R o o k } - The heavy hitters for the white army. Unfailing strength and brawn are their ways, their skills in magic are much to be desired though.

{ B i s h o p } - Specializing in magic, they don't have much in the strength department, but they more than make up for it with their devastating spells.

{ K n i g h t } - The most basic of the elite, their skills lie with their superb sword skills and their rudimentry abilities to wield magic.

{ P a w n s } - The Pawns are like the lackeys, they are the foot soliders with generic abilities nothing mind blowing or earth shattering.

The Red Army

{ Q u e e n } - Like the White Queen, the Red Queen also holds the power of the throne in the Red Kingdom. She is the one who makes the decisions, and if you anger her she'll have your head.

{ K i n g } - The King is second in command, the Queen's right hand man. If the Queen cannot be found or she is busy, then he takes command of the army.

{ J a c k } - The Jack is the Red Queen's champion, his sword skills are unparalled by anyone else in the army.

{ A c e } - The Ace, although on the same level of the Jack is an assasin, he does the Queen's biddings secretly in the shadows, be it sneaking into the camp of the White army to kill or just eavsdropping for those who speak ill of his Majesty.

{ J o k e r } - The Joker is the magically gifted one. His magic abilities go far beyond what anyone else in the Red Army can do, though his physical strength is somewhat lacking.

The numbers are ranked as they are listed. They are also like the Pawns of the White Army, their abilities are fairly unimpressive but there is always room for improvement with their standings cause it sucks to be at the bottom of the totem pole.
{ 1 0 }
{ 9 }
{ 8 }
{ 7 }
{ 6 }
{ 5 }
{ 4 }
{ 3 }
{ 2 }
