I made myself a pair, but I discovered that the paint flakes off really easily so they require a lot of upkeep... I ended up just buying a pair from a sci-fi convention because I was getting annoyed continually renuing the paint, but they were cool while they lasted biggrin

Hear is a pair of goggles I made from a broken paintball pod (that is the thing that holds the paintballs, seriously half of my steampunk stuff made from broken paintball stuff) and some cheap leather scraps from the craft store. I am still working on them though, they are nowhere near complete, I am trying to make them for my fiancée.

Funny what you can make out of scrap. I really hope this part of Steampunk doesn't die out with all the new clothing and stuff you can buy offline...

Hmm, nice. I don't think that'll ever die out. If you find it online, odds are someone had to start from scrap somewhere. There will always be tinkerers, and they'll always be messing with something or other. So I think we're good for a good while. At least, in my opinion....
