Well, I'm just surprised I'm the first one to post about nunchucks but still XD and I'm truthfully sorry about the spelling. I've seen so many ways to spell it I'm not sure which is right anymore. But anyway, what's your opinion on them?

Nunchuks are a very good weapon if you know how to use it ... weird attack angles and lightning speed ...unfortunately nunchuks are illegal in my home state of California ... so I can't speak out of first hand expiernce ... all I base my claims on are videos ...

They terrify me, frankly. I had a bad... ahem, shall we say experience in the groin area with a three-section staff one time (pinching and such, wince) and the similarity between the weapons has significantly dampened my enthusiasm for the nunchaku. They are fun to watch in the hands of an expert though.

I've only done Tae Kwon Do forms with them, never been taught how to use them. (kinda pissed off about that) Joints make the Nunchakus compact and easy to carry around while still being able to deliver a devastating blow.

...I like them. I also live in Cali so cant get any illegal weapons. If you take some karate classes they give you fake ones to practice with though.....

Nunchaku are fun, very simple motion. They are more a toll for scaring than devastation. (still dangerous) But if someone actually grabs the chain ..... crap, luckily very few people would be willing to try XD I only practiced it for a few months, but they are easy to learn. (with quite a bit of hitting yourself before you learn)

My Grandmother taught them to me as a young teenager, and it was enjoyable. Not really something I would choose to carry over a good knife, but still a lot of fun. I feel Like they are one of those weapons that was "Well s**t I don't have anything else around."
A fill your hands type of deal

My Ryukyu Kempo instructor had a Kobudo class, and one of the weapons was the Nunchaku, and I just couldn't resist picking it up, and learning the how to Bruce lee ...
